South Coast MedSpa

Choosing the right med-​spa facility is a very important decision. I mean after all, you are going there to improve yourself and you don’t want to be left under anyones hands operating a high voltage machine! Previously, I have been a patient at a few other med-​spas where I received laser treatment. I have seen different machines, met a variety of medical personnel which unfortunately has led to disparity in treatments. At previous med-​spas I have been unsatisfied with my results, while the treatment itself was painful, leaving burn marks on my body. As a result of my poor experiences, I did a lot of research before I chose South Coast Medspa.
Here, at South Coast MedSpa, I have had absolutely the best experience and treatment. I have nothing but good things to say about them. From the location, right on the calming waters in Newport to the personnel. I commend Mark the owner of South Coast Medspa for running such an operation which is tailored towards the clients needs and experience.
When you walk in to South Coast MedSpa facility in Newport Beach, the front receptionist Shaina is always greeting you with a big smile. She is the one that gets you signed in and makes sure that you’re seen at your appointment time, so that you’re not waiting in the waiting room all day like most other facilities.
The staff is managed by assistant manager Charity and the manager; Erin. They are the problem solvers of the office, always walking around and making sure that there is patient satisfaction. Erin and Charity make sure that everything always runs smoothly in the office. I personally thank them for making sure everyone is happy.
Once I get situated, Tannaz, the laser technician that is also a registered nurse operates the laser machines. She makes sure to constantly ask me if I am comfortable both in the heat level and if I am happy with the reduction. I have to say that she is very gentle and caring, this is somebody you would want to handle your precious skin!
I put my stamp of approval for South Coast Medspa.

Great customer service and awesome results! I love not having to shave. I was nervous at first but the staff took time with me and explained the process. Scheduling appointments was super easy and they were always on time and very customer focused — highly recommend south coast medspa in Newport Beach!!! I’m excited I treated myself… I saw results after the first treatment!!! :)

My second appointment here and still happy with my experience. I feel that they are diligent with their work. I’m also starting to see good results.

This place is overpriced like you wouldn’t believe. I went in for six session for bikini and barely saw any results but was charged a fortune. They are secretive with the pricing… there is no price list until you come in so I am pretty sure they tried to overcharge me. Very disappointed and do not recommend. However, all the employees that do the laser (not the ones who charge you) are very kind.

I did laser hair removal here at their Newport location. Very effective treatments, good pricing. Highly recommend. Also, friendly staff. Alexa is awesome:)

Had my 1^st acne scar laser treatment here and the treatment was bearable just stung a little. My experience was bad because of the medication. I had nausea, a huge headache and I threw up countless times. But that was just me. I can’t thank the staff enough for taking care of me while I waited for my driver. Thank you to the manager for working things out in my situation and thanks so much to the staff member, T, who stayed, handled the communications with my family/​driver, and walked me out and kept me warm as I did not feel well to do anything and was freezing outside. I have never received such kind customer service in my life!

I have always been skeptical of medical spas that claim to provide successful treatment for a reasonable price. However, coming to South Coast MedSpa since this past October of 2015, I have found the staff and my specific contact, Tanaz to be kind, flexible and open to my concerns and needs.
I am undergoing the full body laser hair treatment and I have found it amazing as a olive skinned tone individual.
The Med Spa staff made sure to provide full disclosure of the expectations I should have with this treatment.
Because of my fantastic experience so far, I am beginning to look into the other services at the Spa to see how I can continue to benefit from this great group! Professional and good environment overall.

Great customer service! Shaina at the front desk is really helpful in getting people set up for their appointments and making them feel welcome. I’ve done multiple sessions of laser treatment here and have really seen great results! I would recommend this place to anyone!

It was my first time getting the laser acne scar removal treatment. I have been researching for the past year on where to get the best treatments. But, this was the only place that showed videos and results of their patients. So, I gave it a try and got an online consultation from them. They were all very accommodating and the service from this company is great. They answered all the questions I had. I live in Los Angeles, so it is a drive to Newport Beach where they do the laser acne scar removal treatments.
They recommended me to get three treatments, and I just got my first treatment this past Thursday morning. It is my third day post treatment, and I can say that my skin is actually healing pretty quick. Hopefully, it will be all cleared by Monday. I am hoping for great results after all the treatments I will be doing.

I went to the center in Newport and they are amazing! The nurses make you feel extremely comfortable and are always concerned with your tolerance and comfort. Tanaz is an amazing nurse. She made me feel comfortable and always asked me if I was comfortable. She was always prepared to give me ice when I needed it etc. I would recommend SCMS to anyone, especially going to Tanaz. They also call to remind you of your apt and are willing to call you if an opening occurs sooner than your apt. They are great!

I’ve been coming here over the coarse of 2 years. I purchased a laser hair package for the lower legs and Brazilian. (I keep getting pregnant and have to stop half way through)
Through my pregnancies they have saved the remainder of the treatments for me until I am ready to come back. I have 3 more treatments left and I only have about 20% of my hair left. It’s awesome not to have to shave all the time. Alexa is very professional and curious and always reminds me of my appointments before I forget!

The staff is awesome. Very nice, considerate and attentive. Jessica is fantastic handling scheduling and appointment reminders while Celis smoothly handles preparation and procedure. Together they make the experience easy and convenient.

Summer right around corner back… here again at my favorite spot. Alexa was very attentive and awesome greeted me as soon as I walked in.

Service here is exceptional. I was needing a little maintenance on my neck and back. I was very freaked about doing this. I thought it was going to be excruciating. I tried to have this done a very long time ago and wimped-​out. I’m a fairly strong guy and always felt I could handle pain.
I got seriously haired and pounded really hard on a 16 footer at Point Dume that cracked my board and bruised my ribs about 14 years ago. Considering how well I handled that pain, I figured I could handle laser removal. Man, was I wrong! Around the same time, I attempted to have my neck and back lasered, but could not handle the pain after ¹⁄₁₀₀^th of a second. The fractured ribs from the surfing ordeal felt better than the laser hair removal attempt.
Fast forward 14 years (today); I came here in attempt to have the same procedure done. The staff were extremely nice, professional and understanding. They explained to me how the technology had advanced a lot since the last time I was victimized 14 years ago. I was trying so hard to be open-​minded about it and tried believing such a theory could be true. The other part of me was thinking they were attempting to soften the subject (me), and make me vulnerable in attempt to sell me the service. This was all based on my last attempt to have this procedure done… again…14 years ago. So, it was an ongoing battle in my head.
I went to my appointment today to have the treatment done. Alexa was so cool and very understanding. She gave me the numbing cream and explained how it worked. 45 minutes later, Tanaz began the laser removal. She too was very understanding and motivating. She applied an ice-​pak to the neck and shoulders before zapping me. Once the laser removal began, I was shockingly surprised how painless it was. I felt it a tiny bit every once in a great while, but it was so tolerable and a far cry from the previous experience.

Best decision I ever made. I’ve suffered from dark facial hair the last 10 years of my life and it just gradually got worse. I started hair removal treatment back in Dec 2014. I had 6 treatments and now back for touch ups and so far so go. No scarring or darkening. Shaina is great. Very attentive. The whole staff is wonderful. Very friendly!
Just wish I had done it sooner. Don’t wait. Just do it!

Courtney is amazing for women of color for laser treatment. I have been burned at other salons. She knows what she is doing and she is very skilled! A woman who has mastered her craft! If she ever left I would be sad. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the administration called me at least 2 times to change my appointment around and it was inconvenient as I live 2 hours away in traffic. They said it happens when I schedule appointments on holidays, they tend to move things around to help the staff get off earlier. Totally cool, just wish they’d just say they’re closing early vs. booking an appointment for me and then asking me to change it. Other than that, the place is great!
