This place is literally a bakery by the seaside. Open 24 hours, with amazing tasting pastries for a really kind price, what’s not to like! I’ve been here way too many times to count and here are my usual orders: ham&cheese croissant with jalapeño, maple bar, donut holes, hot cocoa. Honestly the donuts are not the greatest things ever but the ham&cheese croissant is seriously winner of this place. Be sure to ask for it heated. Great little snack to nom on while walking along the pier or walking along the beach. A lot of my friends also get the thai tea, but I’m not a huge fan of thai tea in general so I’ve never actually bought my own.

The must gets: ham and cheese croissant(with or without jalapeño), and the green thai tea. They are both impeccable and combine that with the fact that Seaside is open 24 hours and you’ve got a hit. Seaside is perfect for all occasions, ranging from drunken munchies to a nice day at the beach. Located right off the ocean, parking can be a struggle if you come during the day, but shouldn’t be that bad! Sure they were closed a couple of months ago for roaches, but whatever! IT’S SEASIDE.

I keep hearing my friends talk about how good this place is for their ham and cheese croissants and had to check it out for myself. Parking can be a pain, but if you go with friends, you can easily stand in line to get their orders in while your friends go find a parking spot. Also, don’t forget to bring cash for food and quarters to pay at the meters! I got a regular ham and cheese croissant, a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant, some donuts, and 2 Thai iced tea drinks. Everything was delicious and they were all huge portions for the price you pay! Believe the hype! :9

Seaside is literally the best! I’ve been here many many many times and it never disappoints me. Everyone always comes for their Ham and cheese croissants. No where is better than here. They have the original which is just ham and cheese and they have another one that had jalapeños in it. And they’re pretty generous with the jalapeños. It’s so good and it adds a spicy kick to it! They also have Thai iced tea and Thai green tea. Both are soooo good and it’s s definite must when you get the croissants! You can eat it by the pier or on the beach or anything! I love this place! P. s. They’re good drunchies!

This place can be a hit or miss in terms of the freshness of their ham & cheese croissants. There have been a few times where the croissants were getting dry. However, yesterday I went in like a fool ordering a bunch and asked him to microwave one for me to eat on the spot, but he showed me that they were Freshly baked and piping hot. I felt very embarrassed. for 2.75 it’s a great deal as one croissant is big enough for lunch. The green thai tea is also worth trying, can’t explain the taste myself. Order a bunch and save them throughout the week to enjoy as a breakfast or lunch :)

The best donuts I’ve ever had. I’m telling you for the price and the quality you can not get better It is definitely your hole in the wall shop. The line can be long at times but donuts are always ready to go so the wait for me has never been an issue. Worth it anyways. Every time I’m in the Newport area I will stop by and get me donuts. Best deal: 12 donut holes for $ 1.

$ 2.75 for ham and cheese jalapeño croissant. Big enough to fill me up for lunch. They take credit card which is super nice since I never carry cash anyways They will warm up your croissant if you ask them to

The jalapeño ham and cheese crossiant was jal-a-peño business! My friend and I were surprised when we tried to split it that not all parts had ham. It’s pretty much leaning on one side so drunkards — keep that in mind when you are tearing at it to share. The green Thai tea was not the business for me. It was an odd combination of flavors and it was pretty strong… so beware drinking at night!

YES! Everyone loves Seaside Bakery for their delicious ham & cheese croissants(with or without jalapeño), but their thai tea and green tea thai tea puts this sack over the top! Whenever i’m craving a late night snack or just craving something delicious but not overly fatty, this is the place to go. The best thing is that it is always open and there’s plenty of parking when you go late at night. i’ve never actually tried their donuts, but you can go anywhere for donuts, but you CAN’T go anywhere for their amazing ham & cheese croissants. This was actually the first place that I tried ham & cheese croissants, and then when i was craving it again, i tried one at a local donut shop, and ITJUSTWASN’T THESAME! They know they make the best croissants and they don’t overcharge either, which is why I keep coming back! I love that they warm it up for you so that it’s crispy when you take a bite as well.

Yasss, seaside! Ham & cheese croissants. Thai tea. Whenever you want it! Thank god they’re open 24⁄7 so I can get my ham and cheese fix whenever I feel like it. But it’s usually at 2am after I’m done partying and drinking for the night ;) It gets crowded weekend nights after 2am because bars and clubs have closed and everyone else has the same thing on their mind: drunchies — one ham & cheese please! The workers are always nice and friendly and service is always great here. If you haven’t already tried it, they legit have the best ham and cheese croissants($ 2.75) everrrrr! They’re so warm and fresh and flaky and buttery and the cheese is all melted and oh my gosh, it’s just delishh. I personally like the jalapeño ham and cheese better, it has a nice little kick to it. Wish they added more jalapeños though, but oh well. They’re still amazing(drunk or sober!) I also love their Thai tea! So good. They have a green Thai tea as well, but I prefer the original. It’s located right by the Newport pier/beach so after you grab your croissant and Thai tea, you can just walk on over and enjoy while hanging out at the beach. Or not. Whatever you want dude.

You can catch this donut shop popping throughout the day but at night is when it really comes alive! It’s no surprise with all the bars surrounding it along with the cold night air. This 24⁄7 spot attracts customer’s such as all the cold people fishing on the pier to the liquored up souls from the bars like mosquitoes! How wouldn’t a cup of Hot Chocolate and bag of donut holes not bring people to the light?! The Hot Chocolate hits the spot instantly with its perfectly milkly chocolate to warm anyone up! The coffee does just the job as well by putting one at ease and even sobering a few up! DONUTS: Seem to be a bit overrated. The Donut Holes and glazed are probably the best choices. They don’t overdo the sweetness and the dough is fluffy! Chocolate with sprinkles are appetizing to a point until the flavor starts to almost just disappear near the end. The plain chocolate donut was the biggest disappointment. It is extremely bland and you can taste that almost all the batter was water because all my boyfriend and I were able to make out was a hint of chocolate. Seaside Bakery is a decent spot with a few outstanding items but it isn’t the most amazing donut shop. Anything warm it’s going to taste great when it’s cold and amazing after a few too many. I appriciate the good customer service and hot chocolate. This booming little business is good enough to stop by but not go out of your way for.

Cheap and good donuts. Seaside might seem like your average donut shop, but what makes the difference is their green thai tea. It is often too sweet but still good $ 2.75 gets you a medium and it’ll be more than enough. On my most recent trip I got a dozen donut holes and they didn’t seem that fresh.

Let me start by saying the location is perfect as is the customer service. We stopped in about 7:00PM or so and knew it would be risky to find a fresh piping hot donut at this hour, it’s almost impossible to operate a donut shop 24⁄7 and provide hot fresh donuts every hour of the day but who could resist the temptation. The nearly 900 reviews prove that it’s all about the location, move this shop a few blocks from the beach and I’d be surprise if the reviews looked the same or if they would be open around the clock, but fortunately for the very nice staff warming the croissants and blending the chai for the constant flow of customers wanting to satisfy their sweet tooth or tone down their buzz this supplier of fried dough is laughing all the way to the bank a few times a day I’m sure. I love the nostalgia oozing out of this place, it’s definitely a local favorite and a must stop for nearly every tourist visiting this beach front retail strip-mall. I guess I set my expectations so high I maybe couldn’t appreciate the historic value before me. There were plenty of pastries to choose from but I have a very difficult time resisting the plain glazed donut you know the ones that can’t camouflage their deliciousness, it’s either really really good or after a few bites it’s relocated to the nearest trash receptacle to be recycled by a scavenger be it man or mouse and maybe an occasional bird is the can is filled beyond its capacity and the trap door is wedged open with refuse. Today the doughnuts were cold, stale and very heavy I guess the hours of waiting to be eaten had taken its toll and deflated the expectations of all who dare to scarf down this sugary treat without an ample chaser of something wet. Although the facts presented today represents a very small snapshot of what must be very difficult for some to digest but trust me it’s not as difficult to as it was to swallow today’s offering. I recommend to all that they stop in and choose wisely and I’m sure you have an equal chance of getting just the opposite results of what we experience, I know if I ever have the chance to give this place another try I definitely will, the risk is small and the reward could be huge I believe in playing the odds and this many positive review can’t be wrong…

I came by seaside to get some donuts for my co-workers birthday and to get some breakfast/brunch with my bf. I know a lot of people come here for drunchies/munchies, but I haven’t yet FOOD l 3.5: — donut holes l 3: [up to you] the first time I had donut holes(bought around 9am) and they were delicious and soft! When I bought them the second time, around 6am, it tasted a little old — ham and cheese croissant l 4: [recommend] definitely good, if you don’t like jalapeños — jalapeño ham and cheese croissant l 5: [recommend] it’s SO good! I love the extra kick of flavor. I swear, I was craving it for a while and was disappointed they ran out last time, but I’ll be back for ya! — blueberry donuts l 4.5: [recommend] love their blueberry donuts, although it can be overly sweet sometimes — green Thai tea l 2.5: [dont recommend] I don’t know what to think of the green Thai tea. except it reminds me of Dr. Seuss’ green eggs and ham, and how artificial it looks. Taste-wise, it’s extremely sweet and semi-strong. — other donuts l 3: they’re so-so. Nothing remarkably unique about them PARKING l 1 – 5: Why such a big range? Because if you come at 5am like I did last week, you’ll have no problem finding parking and parking will be free. However, if you come at 8 or 9am, you’ll end up circling the parking lot for 10 – 15 minutes and have to pay for parking PRO: — open 24⁄7 CON: — parking during daytime VERDICT: I’ll be back! At least for you, jalapeño ham and cheese croissant.

I love this place. By far, my favorite donut shop in SoCal. They have the best Ham and Cheese Croissants, especially with the Jalapeño. Seaside Bakery is located right across from the Newport Pier, which is awesome. Most of my time, my friends and I would buy the croissants and walk the pier. My friends love to fish at the Newport Pier and I usually tag along just so I can visit this place. More than often, you would see me sitting on the bench eating my croissant, drinking my Thai Tea while watching my friends fish. The Thai Tea here is amazing and cheap too. Besides from the regular Thai Tea, they also have the Green Thai Tea. Most of my friends do not like the Green Thai Tea, but I actually like it. Another reason why I love this place is because the store opens 24⁄7. My friends and I love coming here, especially at 2 in the morning, even though it is a 35 mins drive from our houses. On our last visit, one of my friends ordered a Banana Smoothie and I ended up ordering a Strawberry Smoothie. The Banana Smoothie was delicious while the Strawberry Smoothie was too bland for my taste. For the longest time, I thought it was cash only, but they do accept credit cards.

What keeps me coming back, Unilocal asks? Living in the OC, it’s hard to find places open 24⁄7. With something as unique as this bakery, I love the food they have to offer and its location as well. The ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant($ 2.75). The hype is very much real for this item and I’m proud to say the hype meets the taste! The croissants are freshly made so the cheese is always gooey and the bread warm. Perfectly located at the edge of the Newport bar scene, it’s a great place to end your night eating croissants and green tea thai teas by the ocean. Service is fast and the owner is super friendly. The first time I came, he wouldn’t let me leave until I had tried the green Thai tea just to tell him how good it was. And it was SO good. It’s like a mixture of the green tea lattes you get at Starbucks mixed with the classic orange Thai teas. Price is great in comparison with the overpriced late night pizza places in the area.

— Short Synopsis — Ham and cheese(or Jalapeño ham and cheese) croissant is a must try. One of my favorite spots when I use to attend college nearby. Plus it’s opened 24⁄7 and is situated right along the beach front. — Summary — For those who have not frequented the establishment in a while, they finally accept credit cards and are not cash only anymore! As stated in the short synopsis, the ham & cheese or Jalapeño ham & cheese is definitely something I recommend trying at least once. Then you can walk along the pier and enjoy the view of the ocean. It is also now $ 2.75 instead of $ 2.50 for a ham and cheese croissant. I would also recommend trying their blueberry cake donuts, cronuts, and any donuts that interest you as they are cheap and usually delicious. Since it is located right next to the beach, I personally enjoy the mixture of the ocean smell, the scenery, and the soothing sounds of the waves while enjoying my Seaside goods. Just be wary of hard to find parking during beach goer times(summer weekends) as it is situated right along the beach. Try to go during non peak times(anytime at night or during non-sunny/cold weather) If you go at the right time, you can watch the sun set over the ocean as you are enjoying your Seaside goodies. You can also watch the sun rise over the land if you come early enough. I hope you can make it out to Seaside to enjoy their Jalapeño(or no Jalapeño) Ham and Cheese croissant. It is something worth trying while enjoying the beach.

Drunk or sober, the croissants here are to die for. My recommendation and absolute favorite is the jalepeno ham and cheese croissant. The melted oooey gooey cheese with a nice kick of spice from the jalepenos. yum. This place has a great reputation and their croissants are always consistent. They’re open 24 hours a day so you can satisfy your cravings, literally whenever. Sometimes there’s a huge line but the line usually goes by fast so don’t be too discourage. Not to mention, everything is super affordable. The jalepeno ham and cheese croissants are less than $ 3 each! The other croissants vary by price. Also, they have really good thai tea too!

Seaside is a pretty cool doughnut shop that serves a variety of doughnuts, croissants, and the now-ubiquitous cronut. Do not be discouraged by the presence of cronuts. This place isn’t one of of those hipster doughnut shops with absurd flavors and high prices. Rather, this humble bakery chooses to focus on quality food and service. Their jalapeño/ham/cheese croissants are pretty damn solid and so are the cronuts. Furthermore, I love their green thai tea! Sure I like regular thai tea more, however, I’ve only seen green thai tea here. It’s a bit floral and sweet but still delicious. Prices are affordable, service is friendly, AND they are open late! That’s a winner in my book.

After visiting the Donuttery in huntington beach, I somewhat got converted from a non-donut person to a donut-loving-nut. So for a person who doesn’t like donuts very much, this place is really good! The donuts are just the right amount of sweetness! I like this place better than the Donuttery because of the variety it offers: cro-nuts, thai green tea(a must-get), amazingly sandwiched croissants, and donuts!!! On top of that, this place is open 24 hrs and right on the beach. How amazing is this. Donut Sickness Scale: So I don’t know about you, but I feel really sick after eating 3 Krispy Kreme donuts. I ate 2 cronuts and 3 donuts, then felt sick. This is just a reference for you to see how many donuts you should buy. If 3 Krispy Kreme donuts make you feel sick, you might want to consider buying 3. Don’t buy more than 4 since it could make you feel ill!!!
