We had Mike tonight and it was his first night. Beyond amazing and we enjoyed everything about our experience. Thank you guys so much!

This place IS THE BEST GREEK FOOD ever! If I can go above 5 stars I would. I drive here from the redlands-​riverside area just for Greek food. And it’s worth it everytime. Amber helped us today and she’s awesome! And try to guess where the owner came from. They’re both super great. Overall stop by if your in the area and eat & drink Greek !!!

Boom boom shrimp is great, the Gyro is filling, the calamari is tender, pizza is very flavorful, and I love Beer, and they serve beer. the Lobster Mac is legit, havent tried a burger yet. That’s next. Chris is great and my two sons always look forward to going and sitting in our spot:)

Me and my friend were walking around searching for a place to eat and this had the nicest people, cleanest environment and succulent food! This is a great place to eat around here if you’re looking for pizza, burgers or sandwiches. Try the Calamary. It’s delicious and thick. Thank you for the great food!

The Hawaiian was crazy delicious (I added jalapeños but it didn’t need it, especially with added crushed red pepper) and The Californian great too. Can’t believe how much real and delicious bacon they put on everything. Dream come true.
The bartender made me a fancy high alcohol mixologist special drink with Soju and strawberry. High ABV, low price! Then I drank beer ;)
Great atmosphere. Sorta froze but I was barely wearing much more clothes than for at the beach.

I love trying new beers. Had a KC beer «the Calling IPA» from Boulevard Brewing, and really enjoyed it. Good beer selection, menu looks very good. Can’t wait to come try the food! Enjoyed talking to the owner, Chris.

Amazing service and high quality food. The gluten free pizza is one of the best I’ve had, and all the food that people around us ordered looked delicious. We will definitely be back!

Unilocal let me down with Pizza Bar. I cannot see how it has 4.5 stars. The «bar» is only wine and beer. The pizza is mediocre at best. Our waitress had very little knowledge of the menu and was unable to answer the simplest questions such as whether one of the pizza’s has cheese or not. My wife ordered the veggie light pizza, which was supposed to have a number of veggies including eggplant. She asked for no peppers. It came with peppers and no eggplant.

We came here for the first time tonight and the service was amazing! Amber was so sweet and made sure we had the best experience possible. The food was so yummy and they have an amazing wine and beer selection. We’ll be back for sure!

I’m a local here who kept seeing this place yet never stopped in. Yesterday, after a long bike ride in the sun, my gf and I were in the mood for a frosty beverage. All of the local watering holes were a little too party-​time and slammed with that college «Sunday Funday» type of crowd (it was Saturday but you get the idea). Not what we were in the mood for. We walked by this place and decided to stop in. It looked calm and classy enough but still casual; perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful, Taylor in particular. After trying a few samples of some of the craft beers they had to offer we decided on a white ale. (Side note: Taylor also has a custom drink mixing Stella and their pineapple cider which is surprisingly good and refreshing without being super sweet). We were also informed of their Sunday Brunch special (the following day being Easter Sunday): $ 13 for one menu item and bottomless mimosas from 11a-​2p. Not bad!
We ended up coming back the next morning after a hike to really build an appetite. I got the breakfast burrito. My lady got scrambled eggs w bacon. Both dishes came w a slice of watermelon and hash browns. Let me first say I am a breakfast burrito connoisseur. The breakfast burrito here is one of the best I’ve had in my life, definitely on my top 3. The mimosas were 90% champagne and frequently topped off. The music ranged from classic rock, reggae, and tolerable contemporary pop. The owner is super cool and down to earth and it’s easy to see he is passionate about making this a fun a comfortable environment for both customers and staff alike. Love the food and atmosphere, staff, and the more mellow vibe compared to other places in the peninsula. Highly recommend.

PizzaBar rocks! This place is so fun we came in last night and filled up the bar tasting great beers and wine, eating delish pizza and other tasty treats.
One of the best things was the Boom Boom shrimp! To die for!
Not only was the food and atmosphere great, the staff was all friendly and attentive. Kim, Chris and Erica took great care of us!
I highly recommend this place for families and singles alike they have everything right next to the Newport Pier.

Been back many times and this place keeps getting better. From new additions to the menu, to tasty flat breads and pizzas I enjoy the food here so much. A great bonus is the wings — crispy and delish!
If your lucky to get Kimberly as your server she rocks and give superior service. Watch out for the dodgy blond though.
Overall a great spot right next to the ocean and the iconic Newport Beach Pier and McFadden Square.

It was my first time visiting this place so I was open to try something new. The environment at this place was just great! I was greeted at the point I walked in. The waitress suggested I try the Boom Boom Shrimp and I don’t regret ordering it… tasted so good. I like how the staff was so attentive with the customers, I will definitely go back soon.

«Eek! Methinks not.» is an understatement. If I can give ZERO stars for this place, I would in a heartbeat.
I came with a friend on Friday night, it wasn’t really busy at all, so we got our pick of tables. It took the waitress a while to even acknowledge that we were there. It seemed like she was more interested in her phone than actually working. We ordered some salads and a pizza that I heard was pretty good. When the food finally came to our table, the waitress just dropped the pizza off and left. She had forgotten our salads and didn’t even offer a refill for our drinks. I let the salad slide and gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was coming back, but she didn’t. The pizza looked pretty good, but that was all I can say that’s positive. The crust was cooked unevenly. It was pretty much burnt on the outside and super doughy on the inside. The texture and flavors just became off-​putting together. Seriously, I’d rather have bought $ 5 frozen pizza from the grocery store.
It was a terrible experience. We wish we went somewhere else.

This place is a good vibe to always come hang with other local people have a good drink and amazing food ! It’s Definetly one of my new favorite spots in my hometown! Hot chicks working and the owner is a total bad ass!!! Thanks players!!!

Ok where to start … the staff Chris and Cassie are great at what they do. The food is out of this world good and you cant beat the price and friendly company. If you are looking for great food and drinks I highly recomend stopping by.

Brunch! Best deal in all of OC… $ 12.95 for bottomless mimosas and food? Are you kidding?! The owner Chris is amazing and very cherry, the food is ridiculously good, and my only complaint is that I haven’t come here sooner! And it’s just steps away from the beach… come down here before everyone finds this undiscovered gem. Thanks Chris for a great experience!!! See you soon…

Avoid this place. I don’t understand how there are so many good reviews for this place.
1. A pre-​made dough pizza tastes better than their pizzas. We had the goat cheese, the pepperoni, and the sausage/​mushroom pizzas. The crust looked and tasted wierd, as if it was a frozen or microwaved pizza. I’m a terrible chef but have made better pizza with pre-​made dough and pizza sauce.
2. The appetizers stunk too. Lobster Mac and cheese was literally box Kraft Mac and cheese with some lobster bits in it. Disappointing and gross. The calamari looked frozen fish sticks. The only thing that wasn’t awful was the boom boom shrimp but do NOT come here for it or anything else.
3. for being a bar, their beer selection wasn’t even that large.
4. My friends and I went on a Saturday night. The place was absolutely dead. If it has such «great» food, where was everyone? They were even planning on closing early.
Just don’t go.

Came here with a group of 10 very accommodating, brunch on Sunday’s comes with endless mimosas all for 12.95 great deal and the food was good, great service from Taylor and Cassie, we watched football on the big screens and they have a decent selection of beers on draft, we had a great time and would come back for sure

Location’s on the corner — good ambiance, casual by the beach, TVs with football on, beer selection, decent food, superb service from our waitress, can’t complain.
The pizza was similar to flatbread, very light, has almost a Californian pizza feel to it. Just a good place to get together with friends and hang out.

The bar’s warm, friendly, intimate vibe keeps us coming back. John and Cassie have helped us knowledgably with our wine selections. We had so much fun rallying back and forth with interesting conversation while we sat at the bar.
I’ve also arrived with a party of eleven here, for my daughter’s birthday. Chris welcomed us warmly, and between he and Cassie, they delivered an enjoyable meal of appetizers and drinks and kept our night flowing. Everything we’ve had here is good, but definitely start it off with the Boom Boom Shrimp. It’s delicious.

This place was soooo delicious. We ordered the mushroom and pesto flat bread — I could have eaten this by myself. We also ordered the California pepperoni pizza which was also very good. The Greek salad was good it had big chunks of onions, cucumber & tomato. Last but definitely not least the hummus. My god. We even ordered more pita it was so delicious. I will definitely 100% come back and bring friends. With all of this I enjoyed two Stella’s :)

Incredible pizza and gyros. Came to this place with friends. The owner Chris is so cool. Great food and THE BEST service. The service makes the difference. Thank you guys for an amazing night.

I’m not sure I’ve ever had this experience at any restaurant or bar in my life — two servers in the whole restaurant refused to serve our party of six. Legit ignored us for a solid 15 minutes, not acknowledging our party with a ‘be right with you’. Zero stars if possible.

We drove 1 ½ hours to visit Pizzabar «The Only Deaf Friendly Restaurant in the USA» only to be told the interpreter kiosks were broken. There were maybe 15 people in the restaurant and about ¹⁄₃ were using sign language. Unfortunately none of the staff knows any sign language. The pizza was good but the service for a ¹⁄₃ full restaurant lunch crowd was inadequate.
We split a $ 9 Caesar salad (which was only lettuce, dressing, croutons, and barely any cheese) but the server did not think to bring us clean plates for our pizza. We couldn’t get her attention so we ended up eating our pizza off our dirty salad plates. It also took about 10 minutes for us to get our server’s attention to settle our check. The pizza was excellent but the service was lacking and the broken sign language kiosks were a big disappointment – there are supposed to be sign kiosks at every table. Call ahead to make sure the kiosks are working if you are deaf because the staff doesn’t know any sign language.

I love this place. I really liked Akropolis before but was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was updated and now has a fun ambiance. I was also very happy that they still have the gyros on the menu and they are still so good! The owner Chris is super nice and welcoming. The bar is a nice touch and great addition to the restaurant and they have an awesome beer and wine selection. I definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for good food and drinks on the peninsula. We liked this place so much we are going to have our 2015 Christmas party here!

Amazing spot to chill and drink a glass of wine. John is an utterly hospitable manager and everyone I met on my Sunday there made me want to visit there again!
The Greek pizza is great, but there salads are huge and delicious too, and they truly are «more than just pizza», as their shirts state. I recommend the wine, the salads, the gyros, the French fries, and the pizza, I only saw my own, but everyone left happy that they had eaten at the Pizza Bar.

From out of town and this is no joke delicious. I have a ton of food allergies (gluten, soy and nuts) they were super accommodating and the gF crust was really good. Their happy hour of half off pizza and beer is basically a steal.

Since it opened a few months ago, Pizza Bar by the Newport Beach pier has become one of my favorite restaurants and places to relax near the beach. The location is great; a block from the busy main parking lot and the hustle and bustle of the main shops and yet still close enough to the pier, sand, and water.
The owner, Chris, is always extremely friendly and welcoming when greeting and talking to customers. His Swiss accent and cheery personality are awesome!
My favorite item on the menu is definitely the Greek burger; good portion size, tasty meat, and yummy yogurt sauce. I also really like the boom boom shrimp as an appetizer. Their pizza is also great, too! They have lots of topping options and are great about making your pie to your liking:)
I was just in again this past week and they’ve installed a couple new big screen tvs. I’ll be going back next Sunday with some friends for the football game;)
As a local it’s always great to find new places to eat near to home that are relaxed, yummy, and have a great vibe. Pizza Bar has become my new favorite haunt.

Being locals we decided to try the new pizza place down the street. What a great choice! This is hands down the best pizza on the peninsula. You can build your own and all the ingredients are high quality, you can test the freshness of the cheese, meat, and veggies. Not to mention their chicken soup tasted like the veggies were just cut fresh and the soup was made to order — which to probably was. Go here and give this place a try! Great wine and beer selection as well. Joe was our server and he was incredibly helpful and all around pleasant to be with, service A+!

Renovated the previous restaurant Akropolis to the new Pizza Bar. They are in flux and offer a lot of the original Greek dishes and have started adding in new American fare — salads, pizzas and sandwiches.
Look forward to new tastes such as homemade meat balls and lobster mac & cheese.
Good things to come I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the new food and dishes.
