Pacific Coast Physical Therapy

This is the BEST physical therapy office I have ever been to. Tom and his entire PT team are awesome, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. Their diagnosis, manual therapy and the prescribed exercises are all top notch, which help me to recover and feel better much sooner.
The facility is very clean with private rooms for one-​on-​one treatment. The PT aides are very helpful and attentive to make sure you do the exercises correctly. The front desk staffs are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Pacific Coast Physical Therapy to anyone looking for PT.

Words cannot express the quality and care that Tom, Mari, Camilla and the staff provides! I have done PT here off and on over the past 12 years, and I’ve had some unusual things going on sometimes. Long story short, I have gotten my mobility and my strength back every time, and I’m just tremendously grateful. I refer this practice whenever I can! Do not go anywhere else!

Great place to get back on track. Tom and his staff take the time to figure out how best to fix the problems you are having. They use the latest technology and proven techniques. Highly recommended.

I have been going here for about 3 months and have seen so much progress words can’t even explain. The entire staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I work in the medical field with orthopedic surgeons and will be recommending Pacific Coast Physical Therapy to all my surgeons. I went in for my 3 month follow up appointment yesterday with Dr. Eric Lee in Orange. He said that he could not be any happier with my results. This is coming from one of the top orthopedic surgeons in all of Orange County. He said that a lot of it is because I have been going to therapy 3 days a week with people that know what they are doing. Tom is the owner who I have worked with and I do a lot with Mari who is amazing also. If you need any PT I highly recommend them for your rehab.

I had bad hip pain, lower back pain, numb thigh when I came in January. It was painful for me to seat for long, let alone running. My previous chiropractor basically said I can forget about running from now on.
By working with Tom and Mari, both are wonderful and knowledgeable professionals, I healed in about two months time. Every session here is very effective, filled with Q&A, massage, treatment, stretching, etc. Now I am back to running and climbing. This place is highly recommended.

After trying two other physical therapy services, I happily discovered Pacific Coast Therapy through a recommendation by my orthopedic doctor in Orange. When I spoke to the personnel at Pacific Coast, I immediately liked the atmosphere I found there. Everyone connected to Pacific Coast is sincerely friendly, professional and efficient. Because of the friendly atmosphere and the care that I receive at PC, I look forward to my therapy sessions. Unlike other physical therapy establishments, it is rare that you are not under the guidance of a licensed therapist from massages to exercises. Even the office manager is close to receiving her license. What has been most important to me at Pacific Coast is that I do not have to fear that they will push me too fast. There is constant communication between therapist and patient that ensures this. Also, there is extensive note-​taking on the part of the therapists documenting the patient’s progress. As a result of not pushing me too fast, I trust the therapists at PC and have been able to make progress concerning the pain in my lower back that I was not able to make elsewhere. In this day of shrinking medical budgets and overly worked medical personnel, Pacific Coast Therapy is like a breath of fresh air. It is small, extremely clean, personable and effective and a more
” positive atmosphere” would be difficult to find.

Had to fire my last PT spot cause they ran it like a mill, gave me 8 minutes of personal attention, and were skeptical about my surfing goals. Pacific Coast gives me exactly what I was looking for– caring, knowledgeable staff with ample one-​on-​one time. Owner Tom’s slogan, «we’re here for you!» shows in the care they give. I mistakenly thought Pilates was girly but I am a converted practitioner as I have seen results in just a few weeks! I had my lower spine rebuilt and these guys are on point with my surfing goal! I owe a lot to Tom for helping me regain my quality of life!

I have been seeing Tom Hendrickx for over a year. Not because he could not help me enough but because I am likely one of the most complicated patients he has had with multiple spine injuries and surgeries. I have made so much progress over the past year and am now able to do activities I never thought I could do again. Throughout my time with Tom he has always been reassuring and positive about my progress and has never been frustrated if I slip into doing something silly that causes me to have more pain. With Tom you have privacy and are able to relax. He seems to find just the right muscles that are causing pain and align my body into it’s correct position. I usually leave feeling well and I cannot say enough great things about Tom. I have been to many many PT’s all over Newport Beach. For example, some Therapy studios just put you in an open room with their assistant having you exercise until they have 10 – 15 minutes to help you. Others may treat you by watching you exercise. Some treat you for a minimal amount of time and then use the assistant for exercise or just have you leave. I have been to places that are not as clean, the assistants may push you beyond your capacity and do not have a good background in your disability to give you safe advice during the exercises. I have been to several good therapists who do include a pilates program, which is why I think Tom’s place is the greatest. You are able to have a certified pilates instructor work with you one on one for ½ an hour as well as Tom doing the same.
Not everyone I have been to is as gentle as Tom with their message and as conscientious and caring about my treatment. He hires most educated, credentialed, and enthusiastic pilates instructors to help you. You leave feeling like you have had a great workout and been messages and put back in place. He uses the most up up date machines and the facility is always neat and clean. Everyone who works there is happy friendly, and knowledgeable. Going there has given me hope that one day I will be able to do even more of the things I used to be able to do.

I have been to Tom Hendrickx at Pacific Coast Physical Therapy several times for a back problem. Despite the fact that I had not seen my doctor in a while, he was able to see me and bill insurance. As I hadn’t seen the doctor, it was up to him to figure out the problem, and he did. After some «hands on» therapy to mobilize an area of spasm, he diagnosed the problem and was able to put me back in alignment. My pain was gone… until the next time I did something stupid like tying my shoes, and my back goes out again. I recommend Tom without hesitation. He is kind, professional and a great physical therapist.
