Newport Beach Sailing Charters specializes in captained charters, adventure charters and corporate events aboard beautiful yachts in Newport Beach, Catalina Island, and the Channel Islands. Our fleet consists of mid-​sized yachts (36– 50 feet) designed to accommodate private charters for couples, families, friends, or your most important clients.

We take pride in our customer service and strive to provide friendly Captains and staff to ensure that your charter is enjoyable throughout the entire booking process. We will personalize your charter to your schedule and desires so you may get out on the water and experience your most cherished memories. History

Established in 2006.

Prior to starting the Newport Beach Sailing Charters we had two other sailing businesses: SailTime (www​.sail​time​.com) and the Newport Beach Sailing School (www​.new​port​beach​sail​.com). After many inquires for day sails, we create the Newport Beach Sailing Charters to give people a beautiful sailing experience with a captain to handle the boat. We quickly expanded from day charters to multiple day adventure charters to the islands of the coast of Southern California and Corporate Regattas.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Chris started sailing as a teenager and has had a love of the water from a young age. After graduating from college, Chris spent about a decade in the technology industry but always wanted to start a small business in the marine industry. After completing his Masters in Business (MBA) Chris and his wife traveled the world for a year. Upon returning to Orange County Chris purchased a sailboat and started several sailing businesses that he still runs today.

About our Captains: We have hand selected each one of our captains to make your experience a truly fun, safe and memorable one. Each captain is licensed by the United States Coast Guard. They have the skills to handle your boat confidently and keep your guests safe. We choose our captains with the criteria that they must be exceptionally friendly and kind, as well as enjoy taking people out for a special occasion on the water.
