Description

Specialties

Our motto is:

«There are no strangers here, only friends you’ve not yet met.» (–William Butler Yeats) Malarky’s is a traditional Irish Pub that was established in 1977. It opens its doors everyday at 7:30am, serving up delicious hot breakfasts and strong coffee. Lunch and dinner are also offered, and a variety of dinner specials are served on a nightly basis. There are twelve beers on tap, as well as a large selection of bottled beers and a full bar.

Malarky’s is a family owned business that prides itself on friendly service and a familiar atmosphere. It was originally established by the Hamilton Family in 1977, founders of the Cannary Restaurant. After 33 years of operating Malarky’s, the Hamiltons retired and sold the business to a local restaurateur. The new owner is completely renovating the business, and bringing it back to its original luster. Come in and enjoy a tasty meal, a cold drink, and a good laugh with friends, old and new.

History

Established in 1977.

Malarky’s is the only traditional Irish Pub on the Newport Penninsula. It was founded in 1977 by William Hamiliton, who also founded the Cannary restaurant.

After 33 years in business Mr. Hamilton decided to retire, and he sold Malarkys to a local restauranteur. The new owner will be renovating Malarkys in the near future and bringing Malarkys back to its original luster.
