Ehsan Sadri, M.D. FACS

The facts, and ONLY the facts:
Atlantis Eye Care and Dr. Sadri were the second eye surgeon I saw. I was told by Connie, the office manager, that they would take care of me and I wouldn’t have a bad experience like I did with Dr. Rayhanabad’s Office (see that review).
Met with Dr. Sadri, who was nice enough and told me he would expedite my cataracts procedure as much as he could. He wanted to run some extra tests as I had concerns about my vision and wanted to make SURE it was cataracts. He said he would waive the co-​pay and, yes, he too wanted to confirm it was cataracts. His office proceeded to schedule my tests 3 weeks apart. For the test #1, the nurse said she couldn’t complete the test and that I would have to ask the other nurse to do it when I had test #2 done in 3 weeks. When I waited 3 WEEKS for the other test, they didn’t know I needed the Test #1 done, so I had to wait in the office so they could fit me in.
Again, a week later, saw Dr. Sadri and he said I did indeed had cataracts and he would schedule the procedure for my left eye, then the right eye 3 – 6 months later. Let that sink in. 3 – 6 MONTHS LATER!!!
Again I waited 2 weeks more weeks for the appointment for them to measure my eyes. I couldn’t wear my contact lenses for a week prior to that, which I voiced was a MAJOR inconvenience do to my bad eyes, but I understand that there is nothing that could be done. The morning of my FRIDAY appointment for my eye measurement, they called and said the machine and broken and that they would have to re-​schedule. I asked how long, they said probably not today, Friday, but maybe Monday or Tuesday. That meant I would go without seeing for another 3 – 4 days! When I asked the nurse about why the machine broke and voiced my frustration about not being able to see for yet another 3 – 4 days, she got short with me as if I didn’t have the right to question these things.
At this point, I was getting nervous about the competence of who I was dealing with. After all, they are CUTTING ON MY EYE… So I called the office administrator and voiced my concerns. He told me the office staff had told him I was being rude. Now I will admit I’m not the most courteous person in these instances, but THEY ARE CUTTING ON MY EYE!!!
Next thing you know, I get a call from my primary care physician that Dr. Sadri had discharged because he thought I wold sue him if anything went wrong.
Then 3 weeks later I get 2 invoice for the co-​pays for the tests he said he would waive.
Bottom line is, Dr. Sadri NEVER called me personally to discuss the any of my concerns.
I have since had my cataracts taken care of by Dr. Joson at the Tayani Institute and the experience was wonderful.

Update to my ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₃ review: So, it’s been one year since I went to my first visit with Dr. Sadri. As I mentioned in my first review, I had lived with a very painful eye condition for seven years. I had seen many specialists but had no solution. Glad to say that it’s been one year and I’m still pain free and back to ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. No surgery; he didn’t even try to sell me on it like others have.

If there was an option for no star, I would have given him no star at all. After waiting in his office for one hour, he stayed in my room for no more than 3 min and he was gone. He and his office never asked about my medical history or any family condition that I may have. They never asked me to fill up a medical history which is on heard of. He only thinks about money and he doesn’t care about his patients at all. I am very disappointed. I waisted my money and time to receive no medical care. I read some good reviews that he takes his time to examine patients and he cares about his patients. I didn’t experience that. now I am thinking that those good reviews might be from his staff and friends and families and not from his patients.

This place is terrible. It doesn’t even deserve a single star on Unilocal.
I took my mom to see Dr. Sadri in January of 2013. He seemed nice but very flirtatious with his 2 – 3 good looking female staff he has which we found very unprofessional and low class. He literally spent 3 minutes top to examine my mom’s eyes. Without any hesitations and reading the documents provided by her previous doctor, Dr. Sadri claimed my moms needs surgery which is going to cost thousands of dollars not covered by her insurance. We asked him if he can examine my mom for prescription glasses as she can’t see clearly and he claimed he doesn’t normally prescribed glasses and she can go and buy herself a pair of glasses over the counter. (really? isn’t an optometrist job to examine and prescribe glasses if needed?)
We were told someone will call from the office to give us the time for my mom’s surgery on her right eye within 24 – 48 hours. We never heard back from the office for over 2 weeks. Then I called for follow up and was told to wait for a call back. Never received a call.
Today, on June 6^th 2013, I called again and was told that they don’t have anything on file for my mom in regards to examinations done by Dr. Sadri in January. The only report they have is her eye examination for glasses!!! WHAT? How’s that even possible??? I was told they need to ask her doctor and will call me back… and guess what… Never did!
This has been by far one of the worst experiences I had with any optometrist. I’m not even sure if I should call this guy a doctor anymore. What kind of doctor and medical institute treats her patients like this. I’ll make sure not only on Unilocal but to tell whoever I know about our experience with this place.
