Great bar! They have good drinks, good to meet locals. Reasonable drinks and a fun atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good time. If you are into good local bars with pool this is a good bar for you.

In 40 years I have never asked a bartender to remake a drink because it was not made correctly, until I came in here. She made a margarita and I watch here not put triple sec in because the bottle was empty, but she handed it to me anyway and it tasted like crap. Evidently she was too good to make good on it when I asked for her to correct it, that she pitched a fit, trying to make me out to be the bad guy that was to picky. This situation escalated to the point that we just left to reduce making a scene. Never have I been treated so disrespectful. I was at this bar earlier in the day with a great male bartender, so if you get the girl about 5’2 brunette that thinks her cuteness can get her a free pass on bad drink making hold her to the standard you expect. She has an attitude that you are the problem not her shitty skills. I guess when you show some skin that’s the price you pay for ineptness.

This is one of those 0 stars if possible type of review. A group of 8 of us had just missed our fishing boat on a Friday night so we thought we’d make a fun night out if it and go to a bar.
Class of 47 was the first bar we saw so we decided to go in. We were all feeling good and jolly and per the bartenders request, we pulled out our ID’s so we can start ordering drinks.
The average age of our group was 24 and she said nothing about everyone but one, whose ID was slightly chewed up by his Pitbull but still clearly 100% valid. She decided to give us a hard time and not accept his ID even though his picture and birthday are clearly visible and she had just checked his younger brothers pristine ID.
There were only three other patrons in the bar when we walked in and she still decided to make that call and damper our good mood and lose out on our business.
We left for the next closest bar when we still had a great night, but not before I went in and peed in their toilet.

This was a nice little spot. We dropped in to get a quick drink and it had a fun lively atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced and the pours were generous. Would be a 5 star but the bathrooms were wrecked, that’s expected at a dive bar though.

It’s a total dive bar and it’s awesome. Located in the fun zone. The place opens at six in the morning!
The place is pretty basic with a bar, two pool tables, booths and tables, digital jukebox, and a clean bathroom.
Lots of characters and locals that are regulars. Friendly folks, all looking to have a great time.
Plenty of parking across the street if I’m there for a little while otherwise I can pay $ 20 to park in the back all day long.
Go grab food to go from a nearby restaurant, bring it here to munch on while watching any game possible on the several television screens, and have a drink.

This place was ok, your typical hole in the wall bar just a little disappointed that I asked for a michelada but instead I got a Bloody Mary I hate it when bartenders say they know how to make a michelada but really just give me a Bloody Mary like I can’t tell the difference.

I love the 47! My hubby and I have been coming down here to visit Ashley, Trish and Caitlin for years. So I was very disappointed by the trashy behavior of one of the employees. I have not known Jill that long, but was shocked by her lewd acts while she was here as a patron. She was repeatedly showing her chest like it was Mardi Gras and she was trying to get some beads. But wait… There’s more… She was bending over in front of the male patrons lifting her skirt and showing her coslopus and derrière…I know we locals call it «the No Class» but this is a whole new level.

i lost my virginity there 3 nights ago after having 2 vodka & limes! granite i had to use the awesome atm machine there to do so. yet all in all a great experience. drinks stronger than isis and bartenders beauty that would rival donald trumps wife! i wish i could give 10 stars! #makeamericagreatagain

Okay so I really liked this spot! We wandered in because my BFF had to pee! And thank goodness for her bladder because we stumbled into quite a treasure trove! The music was great! There was a bunch of happy drunk guys singing at the top of their lungs which made for great atmosphere :)
And of course my favorite not 1 but TWO POOL Tables!!! Yaaaayyy!!!
Bartender was nice & has a perfect pour! Slrrrrpp slrrrrp!!!
And guess what else??? upon my Unilocal «Check In» i was offered a $ 20 for $ 10 deal which I took full advantage of! Thanks Unilocal!
People were nice chatty friendly too :) there was even a cool photo booth. And the barback was kind enough to get me a menu from next door (PattyMac’s)
This was a great way to start out our visit to Newport/​Balboa Island today!

Yet another dive bar on my list. Great place, lots of pool tables, a jukebox and big buck hunter. Super stiff drinks at reasonable prices and super divey, comfortable atmosphere. Came here on a Friday morning (don’t judge) and had my mom and grandma with me. We started to get after it a little bit with some Irish coffees and were surprised by running (almost literally) into Dennis Rodman. Pretty hilarious to find him with my mom and grandma, and have him hit on both. Great stories always come out of this place, if you can remember them.

Worst dive bar I have ever visited. The staff is rude (specifically the one with the dark almost black hair that resembles Snooki), they are inconsistent with what they charge people for their beverages, their drink pours are horrible, they are far from welcoming and it seems as though they have difficulties listing to what you are ordering even though the music playing isnt very loud.
Will I be coming back? NO!

Fun little dive in Newport Beach! I came here over the weekend and it was so fun! I loved the dollars pinned to the ceiling, funny and random décor. This was our last stop on the pub crawl and it did not disappoint. The drinks were reasonably priced and everyone at the bar was very friendly.
We sat at the bar but they do have pool tables for entertainment. The crowd was a good mix of old and young people which was cool. It wasn’t too crowded either which was a plus. We didn’t have to wait long to get our drinks. I also love the bar name. Cool dive bar!
