Referred to Dr. Ozgur for a second opinion regarding back surgery. During the visit barely got the time of day from the Dr. His bedside manner was that of someone disinterested in providing a medical evaluation. Even though my history was complicated and has been on going for quite some time, I got no more than 5 minutes face to face with the Dr. He did not even review with me the MRI’s and CT scans that were provided. His recommendation — try pain management. I had, it didn’t work, and that’s why I came to see you! I have since found wonderful and helping Dr’s at the UCI back center! One of the most uncaring, unprofessional MD’s I’ve encountered.

I had spinal surgery from Dr. Ozgur in 2009 at Cedars-​Sinai because mr Ozgur told me that I had a herniated disk that needed to defused because it was pressing on a nerve. My symptoms at the time we’re numbness and tinglingness in my feet but I was able to walk straight. Needless to say this surgery changed my life forever. 10 months later I was in Washington DC working and I starting limping out of no where. When I get back to California to go see Dr oszur, he acted very nonchalant and referred me to a neurologist at Cedars Sinai at which time after going through a series of tests and MRI’s I was diagnosed with transverse myelitis which is a cousin to multiple sclerosis. The neurologist told me that it was a surgery that I did not need or I should not have ever had because I had lesions in my back and all I needed at that time was a IV steroids to deal with the Legion and the Legion scarring so hopefully the lesion would go away and I would have a one third recovery. Considering that he is supposed to be one of the top neurosurgeons in the country you can see lesions on MRIS and I am NOT a doctor and now I know that. As of today this is the worst decision that I ever made in my life and I have to say that this Dr mess my life up now to where I don’t walk very well I am very depressed and I have a very bad gate and a very bad lip because of this doctor’s negligence and dishonesty. He never called my primary care physician to check up on me to see if I was ok as he said that he would do it just seems like once I had the surgery he was pretty much done with me after that and I would not recommend him to anyone. I hope he reads this and remember the case and the patient because this is very sad because the quality of life in my life has really dropped by at least 40%

Dr. Ozgur gave my Husband his quality of life back. We have nothing but positive and wonderful things to say about this Man. He is professional, caring, compassionate, and a gift to all who seeks care in his field. His entire office staff and his PA Erin were also wonderful and understanding as well. We highly recommend Dr. Ozgur to all, and feel very blessed to have found him. Words cannot express our gratitude.

I have had spinal stenosis that has progressively worsened and negatively affected my active lifestyle for the last 5 to 10 years, finally reaching the point where I could not stand up for more than five minutes at a time. Upon reaching Medicare age, I thoroughly researched physicians that would best take care of my condition. While I live over 40 miles away, I chose Dr. Osgur. After my initial visit to his office and meeting his very professional staff, I knew I made the right decision. My surgery was two months ago and I have had absolutely no symptoms (severe numbness in feet, legs and buttocks) from the first time I stood in the recovery room. I was walking the neighborhood in no time and now can walk almost indefinite distances with no pain or numbness.
I have enjoyed my post surgical visits with Dr. Ozgur and can’t say enough about his staff, both Erin (PA) and Lisa have been extremely professional and have always been very thorough with their responses to my questions. I have already recommended Dr. Osgur to a close friend and would highly recommend Dr. Osgur to anyone suffering from back or neck pain.
