My husband Myles and I were married on 10/​10/​2015 and are still hearing how beautiful our wedding was through Admiral Yacht Charters.
Debra is fantastic and extremely attentive; as well was her staff. The weather was not typical fall California weather which was a bummer as we were all sweating to death but; the cocktails were flowing from the bar and not once was there a line (Efficient and tasty!)
I have had guests ask for their information for other weddings/​company parties etc.
With that, typically wedding food is disgusting, but everything was HOT and delicious.
Extremely happy with our big day thank you!
Only critique is the fee to use a credit card, BUT pricing is reasonable.

I arranged a company Christmas party on the ‘Spirit of Newport’ for the Newport Beach boat parade. I started working on this back in early September if this year. When I contacted them, Debra promptly responded to my online inquiry. I told her what our requirements were and she went to work. While at times she seemed a little frazzled, I finally realized why. The night of my company’s event she was there early helping to set up and make sure everything was in place and ready to go when our folks started showing up. She stayed on the vessel the entire time and made sure we were being well taken care of. When we left, she was there helping the crew clean up. It then dawned on me that she must do this for every event! I’d be a basket case. But her efforts helped make this a great event for my company. The food was good and the crew were friendly and very helpful. They made an effort to point out a lot of sites to the employees and made sure we were comfortable at all times. I would easily recommend these folks to anyone who wants to enjoy the sites of the harbor and be in good hands. Thank you to the crew of the vessel and to Debra for making this event a success and an enjoyable night for all.

Admiral Yacht Charters is truly FANTASTIC! My sister and I rented this yacht for our 30^th bday party. It was a blast! We had 112 guests, open bar, and and a D.J. The experience was one of a kind, and all of our guests had a great time. Debra, Bob, and Steve were a pleasure to work with. Bob was the captain and did a fabulous job taking us around the Newport harbor. Debra was our point of contact. She showed us the yacht and worked out payment information with us. Debra was very helpful throughout the whole process. She was always available when we had questions. If I could do it all over again, I would do it in a heart beat. I had my 30^th birthday Over the weekend. AMAZING!!! The crew was super awesome, the weather was beautiful not cold at all, the music speakers were good you can hear everywhere, the boat (white light) was nice!!! The price wasn’t bad and Debra delivered what I was promised! Defiantly would do it again … We stayed at the shopping plaza Marriott it wasn’t far at all.

I was planning a birthday for my girlfriend and we rented out a pretty nice yacht. Debra was really helpful and she got everything situated. She did a fantastic job by the way and the deducted stars is not on her part. When we first visited the yacht, it was really nice.(forgot the name of it). Debra let us check every room and let me tested out the sound system. I turned it up to volume 65 and that’s where I was able to hear the music outside the boat. Pretty awesome !
Why the 2 Stars?
I was suppose to give my security deposit to a worker named Ron. He asked me for the deposit and little did I know he wasn’t even the captain!
They never went over what the security deposit would cover which is a fail. They weren’t going to give me my security deposit back because of a broken amp.(see below)
Ron is just a bartender on the boat. We brought our own liquor, beer, and food. The one thing I did not like is that Ron wasn’t doing his job correctly. Some people on the yacht do not drink. They prefer soft drinks and when they asked Ron for a cup of soda, he would give my friends an attitude. We brought. A LOT of soft drinks to last the whole 4 hours so we expect our drinks to be served when we ask for it.
Once we reached our destination, the music stopped. The amp «blew» out. (Someone turned the volume too high ?) But even before that, we couldn’t even hear the music which was very unfortunate. It was an awkward 2 hours without music.
My girlfriend described her birthday as just an okay time. Would we book here again? Maybe. Maybe a different yacht with an updated sound system and a better staff.

BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH ADMIRAL YACHTS… READ THIS FIRST. PLEASE, make sure that you ask questions like: 1. Is there A/​C? 2. Food tasting? 3. Are there any plumbing concerns?

#THERE ARE WAY BETTER DEALS — I’m pissed, $ 7,000 down the drain (includes: 3hr. Yacht, wine/​beer bar, and caterers of bland food).
The broker and representive of ADMIRAL YACHTS was given the heads up that a review would be written, and given one week to address our concerns. Any response??? #NORESPONSE…#GOTYOUR $$$, #COULDCARELESS
#NOAIRCONDITION — Okay, so upon first impression, I thought that we were in capable, good hands by chartering SPIRIT OF NEWPORT which was brokered by Debra, ADMIRAL YACHTS of Newport Beach. September 13, we hosted a birthday party of 70 guests. It was sooooo hot. My hair, as there was no A/​C in the main cabin. Our curls dropped within 10 short minutes. Everyone sweated profusely. Honey, thete should have beens or something, as a concession of having no air conditioning. It totally ruined a festive mood. It was too damn hot.
#PLUMBING PROBLEMS — To add insult to injury, there were plumbing problems in two of the bathrooms.
#BADFOOD — We also regretted spending the money in working with ADMIRAL YACHT caterers. Our guests complained that the food was very bland.
#NEVERAGAIN, #ADMIRALYACHTSUCKS…

I found Debra to have the personality of a dishonorable used car salesman. The numbers kept changing. When she thought I was going to use a competitor she beat their price. But she would not put it in writing when asked. When the time came to sign the contracts all the charges increased. She falsely claims to represent all the yachts in Newport beach. In the future I will not even consider using her services. The owners would be better served with a more honest person representing them.

I only had 5 days to plan my party, so I did not have time to shop around. Debra, the broker, knew it and certainly took advantage of me. She increased the price. For the price she charged me, I could have rented the much nicer yacht with a.c. (The Royal Princess) next door. I regretfully rented the Spirit of Newport. However, we were told that that yacht was privately owned and not for rent. Translation: another company rents that yacht. Debra required an all cash payment or 3.5% charge for credit card. She was rude to my guests and outside vendors. She lied by saying that her caterers prepare the food and site; and if I used my own caterers, they could not cook on the yacht. I used her caterers because I liked the idea of the food being freshly cooked. I realized that her caterers did not cook onsite, but reheated the food in chaffing dishes; which is what my caterers could have done and saved me some money.
Debra, was misleading when she stated that the yacht could accommodate a designated kids room. I relied on her representation and allowed my guests to bring their kids and hired two babysitters for the «kids room.» However, on the day of the event, I was surprised to see that the «kids room» now was occupied with an oversize bed that took up 98% of the space in the room. Plus the room was stuffy because the yacht had no a.c. Now, I was forced to allow the kids to integrate with my adult party.
Two of the 3 bathrooms stopped working. I contacted Debra after my party via email to give her an opportunity to address my concerns. She ignored my email and never responded. I never even received any type of an apology. I was so disappointed after my party, I was compelled to look into other yachts to just see what I could have rented had I had more time. For the same overall price (after considering all the fees Debra tacks on for everything), I could have rented a much nicer yacht. I am thinking of having a yacht next year (partially because I was so embarrassed by this yacht, I want to redeem myself), but I will not use Debra or the Spirit of Newport.

Debra, you really have some nerve responding the way you did. On my wedding day I didnt want to fix so much. You were too busy running around like a chicken without a head. As far as picking other vendors, we paid for them in our contract once I saw how disorganized you were starting with that kindergarten contract you made, my now husband said to do the best we could with what we had with you. Honestly, your just disorganized and your goal seems to be to slap it all together. You deserve a negative review.

We had a yacht party for my going away to law school and everything went great! Debra and the crew were very accommodating and everything was perfect starting from the planning to the end of the trip. We rented out a 120 person yacht and there was plenty of space to move around and there was even a dance floor! We were out for four hours and everyone had a blast! I highly recommend Admiral Yacht Charters for any event that you want to have a really great time. Thanks so much Debra and the crew! really made my going away very special.

Debra and her team are the best!!! We booked the White Light for a birthday party and had a blast. Our guests raved about the event and had nothing but positive comments about the crew. Debra was very helpful giving us tips on what to bring and we remained in constant contact from the time we booked the trip to the actual day of the event.
On the day of the party, we arrived a little late to set up and our server was soooo helpful in getting everything set up. I honestly would not have been able to set it up in time for our guests to board without his help. We partied away into the sunset and when it was time to leave, our server helped us pack everything up and made clean up effortless.

Second time was no charm. Horrible service. Horrible food. Horrible attitude from Debra. Kept trying to build in a caterer. The food was awful last time! My husband didn’t want it for our anniversary cruise on the White light. Once I told her I wanted to bring my own food she was so
rude. Zero cleanliness. No toilet paper. I would never use Debra or Admiral yacht charters or recommend them. Go elsewhere!

I think it is pretty unprofessional of Deborah to even think this story is comical. Because it is 100% true. And i am still upset about my wedding day…13 years later. What girl wouldn’t be when the venue they chose was changed the night before her wedding day?!! I just want to warn future brides who want to do a yacht wedding. Go with another company. She ain’t worth it. You can already see her professionalism as she replies to these bad reviews on Unilocal… she isn’t professional at all. Oh and if anyone needs confirmation that this story is not fabricated… just message me… i have lots of friends and family who remember this nightmare we went through!
The nightmare all started with our rehearsal. We were to be there on a Thursday because the yachts were unavailable on Friday and Saturday… my wedding wasn’t until Sunday. So my wedding party had to fly our early just to be at a Thursday rehearsal. We waited and waited. She didn’t have decency to call is to let us know she was supposedly having car problems. She claimed AAA hadn’t shown up and she had been waiting for like 3 hours for them. Well with all that time on your hands waiting for them… you could call bride and groom that you won’t be st the yacht for rehearsal right???
On Saturday night my in-​laws hosted a dinner for all family and friends. We didn’t get home till 9pm and the wedding was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. We came home to a message from the florist confused about which yacht to decorate the flowers with. Imagine our confusion. We have had this yacht booked for over a year.” And a half. There shouldn’t be confusion that the yacht was the ICON. We called Deborah… no answer… her calling service lady told us she couldn’t reach her either… after much persistence her calling service lady finally hooked us up with the captain of the yacht. He apologized for this mess and graciously refunded the money we spent to rent the yacht. Deborah never never apologized and still demanded we pay her her coordination fee… in which i feel she didn’t do her part at all. I cried and cried my eyes out that night. I had no clue what the yacht i was getting married on looked like.
As we boarded the yacht… everything was a complete mess… the tables were all different so my seating arrangement map couldn’t be used. Our wedding was now outside instead of inside so everyone got sunburned (myself included). And Deborah unprofessionally argued with my mother in law about why she didn’t inform us of this change. She threatened to not sail the boat and cancel the wedding!!! The captain of the yacht finally came down and threatened to kick her off the yacht and told us they could do this wedding without her. Yes… doesn’t this story sound so absurd??? I wish i was making this all up. But unfortunately its completely true. In the end we let her stay on… i am not sure why… i wasn’t included in decision process since no one wanted me to get upset. The wedding was smooth… but a lot of my wedding pics have her in background and i makes me sick seeing her. Also don’t let her talk her into using her vendors. I was naïve and let her do that… except for my bakery. I insisted on using my own bakery. However the only vendor of hers i actually liked was her florist. Everyone else i was disappointed in. Including photographer. :-/​. At last but not least. It truly sucks that all my invitations say the wedding is on the ICON which is now false. So even my invitations don’t make my wedding a nice memory. It just reminds me of the hell Deborah made it.

I planned our company’s holiday party with Debra and it turned out great! We chose the night of the Christmas Light Parade in Newport. We boarded the White Light after sunset, had appetizers, dinner, dessert and lots of drinks. The caterer was awesome and the servers provided excellent customer service (Liz & Berta). The bartender (Deanna) was super fun too! I would certainly book that same experience again! Thanks for all of your help Debra! It was a festive holiday night for all!

I planned a wonderful wedding on the Admiral Yacht charter for my daughter. Debra went out of way to make it the best wedding possible. The boat was decked out in flowers and looked great. We loved and enjoyed the food and salads.
I did not have to do any thing but sit back and let my guests tell me what a beautiful job I did. I have to thank Debra who organized the yacht, the crew, the cake, the food, flowers, the great sound system for the music and the Capt. who married my daughter and Photographer. We went out into the harbor in a nice quiet area and that is when the magic happened on the ocean blue. My daughter got married to a wonderful man. I highly recommend Admiral Yacht Charter for any wedding or party. When the pictures get back I will post the them here.

Overall greatly satisfied! Thankful I found admiral yacht charters and Debra! The yacht we went with is called Spirit of Newport which was a beauty and exactly what we wanted! A bit pricey in my opinion, but for the most part you do get what you pay for.
Debra had plenty suggestions that made the experience that much better! Photobooth helped our guest remember the experience! Dj, dinner and dessert was perfect. Open bar, bartender was great! Tacos and wine and cheese were great adds. Everything truly went as planned. The servers were on top of everything! Although they could have been a bit nicer, and personal with the guests. Debra was very professional and talked us through everything beforehand, making it easier to make decisions! I do have to mention The payment method I thought was a bit odd with having to pay everything up front first. However, Didn’t have any issues. Highly recommend!!!

First off, let me start by saying … DEBRA is everything ! She’s flexible, understanding and patient. She has a contagious high energy & she means well ! I planned an all white attire, grown and sexy themed party for my 25^th and despite all that went wrong … Debra did it all right ! She took care of us with the food, the drinks and our pictures. Even checked on us periodically to make sure we’re okay & made it to our destinations safely after leaving. Reasonable/​affordable prices for such beautiful yachts ! I’d recommend booking with Debra when it comes to functions on a boat

We had a wonderful event planned by Admiral Yacht Charters! Our boat was in ship shape condition, decorated appropriately and manned by a hospitable crew. Debra did an amazing job at catering to all of our needs, even went above and beyond our expectations as she organized our whole charter. She was prompt, courteous, knowledgable and completely competent during our function. She clearly knows how to throw a great party! I hope more people will read this and feel secure in knowing they can count on Admiral Yacht Charters to book them a fantastic cruise! Best wishes and thank you Debra!

Debra was the best! I was initially hesitant to book a yacht for a birthday party, but after talking with Debra, she made it possible. I was also cautious about having 49 guests/​friends on board the White Light at one time, but it was not at all over-​crowded or uncomfortable; the boat is definitely big enough to comfortably have the max capacity.
All in all, I can’t even begin to describe how perfect the party was. Not only was the weather great, but the crew did a fantastic job and was super helpful and friendly. The boat was also clean and in tip top shape. Oh, and the sound system throughout the boat was flawless and definitely loud enough.
I would definitely recommend renting this type of boat/​yacht out for a birthday party, or other event, especially instead of doing a birthday dinner for the same price at an over-​priced restaurant.
