Business Owner

Richard brings over 15 years of experience in graphic/​Internet design conceptualization to 1EZ Consulting using his artistic experience, technical knowledge, and expertise in new media trends. His specialty is graphics creation in Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW Photo-​Paint, Quark Express, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Microsoft products, and several other animation and image map applications. He is also proficient in scripting HTML, DHTML, Java, and JavaScript using Dreamweaver. As president of Marketing at 1EZ, Richard provides clients with online marketing strategies for search engines, link exchanging, online advertising, as well as print marketing, such as mailings (postcards, brochures, logos, etc.) and newspaper/​magazine advertising.

I had such a great experience working with 1EZ consulting. My mom was in need of a website for her business and I wanted to hire a web site developer with experience, knowledge and expertise and that’s exactly what I got, I am thrilled with the outcome of the website. The team was easy to work with and they listened to our suggested and made our vision come to life. The images and graphic design are eye catching and well designed. I can’t wait to use them for future projects, thank you 1EZ you guys did a great job!

$$$, not EZ to work with, went dark after final payment
So allow me to provide you a real experience with Richard and Bas; the reviews that I’ve read seem a bit cookie cutter and my guess someone wrote it for them as a favor.
When I first met with Richard and Bas they were very kind and eager to earn our business. The problems started once money started to get involved. First, the PRICE they quoted us, now that I have experience with someone that had to redevelop our website only after 9 months, was WAYYY TOO HIGH. I have a newly redeveloped website at HALF THE COST that also works with mobile phones. Bas told me that it would cost extra to build something that could work with mobile phones — this is also not true if you find an honest and knowledgeable web developer that’s working for your best interest, not their own pocket.
As time progressed after we submitted the initial deposit, Richard began pressing me to submit final payment. There were still revisions to be made, but he annoyingly kept reminding me about the final payment. Bas, who was more friendly to work with, was I’m sure getting flack from Richard and eventually commented that «well we have to get paid too.» As the customer it made me feel uncomfortable that they were so worried about the money rather than launching our new website as I wanted it. Towards the end of development, Richard was just rude even so that his OWN PARTNER called his e-​mails «inappropriate.» Another time Bas said he would «have to have a conversation with Richard.»
It got even worse once I submitted final payment. Once I submitted final payment, they «went dark,» as web developers (come to find out) call it. They wouldn’t return any of my e-​mails or phone calls. I had to make revisions to the website and because they so poorly integrated WordPress into our website, I couldn’t even make the revisions myself! I paid them to install and integrate WordPress and it was all for nothing. What a WASTE OF MONEY. Once I finally got ahold of Bas and questioned him why I hadn’t received any calls back, his comment was that the «e-​mails had been disband.» Allow me to translate — You are worthless to me now and I’m not going to help you anymore.
So, I ended up shelling out THOUSANDS of dollars for a website which I ultimately had to redevelop with somebody else because not only were Richard and Bas not cooperative and uncomfortable to work with, their PRICES are WAY TOO HIGH. In conclusion, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND 1EZ TO ANYBODY.
1EZ, simply put, is NOT EZ to work with. Go find yourself another web developer that can build you a website at half the cost that won’t go dark after final payment and that won’t pressure you for your money. Terrible experience with these guys.
The only positive thing I’d mention is their graphics guy, Joel. He did a great job.

I have worked successfully with 1EZ Consulting on several projects over the last few years. Each time has been a pleasure, not only did they come up with great designs but the work was always delivered on time as promised. I worked directly with the owner Richard, he was responsive to all me needs returning ever phone call and email promptly. When I wanted to make changes all it took was a quick email and in most cases they were done the next day. There marketing expertise is also right on target. My online sales increased almost immediately and the traffic to my store has also grown.
The Bottom line on 1EZ Consulting is. .. Responsive Customer Service! Great Design Skills! Effective Marketing!

So, its been over a month or so and for the record I’m a very happy customer. There are so many people that can build you a website and handle your marketing for you but finding a company that listens to your wants and delivers is a little harder to find. I met with Richard the owner on I think a Monday. We were up and running by Friday. We have made several changes to the site and we have a few more things that still need to be changed around but that is one of the great things about this company. I send over an e-​mail and with in a day or so the changes are made. For me, my website is always changing and little things like pictures and text need to be updated and I feel that 1EZ is working with me and not against me. I 100% feel that my $$$ was well spent and I have zero regrets. If you are in need of a new website or some online marketing please consider 1EZ.
