Glam’d Up

I was excited to see a nice little shop in my town that was not expensive and was also a nail boutique. So I decided to pay them a visit as I was interested in having my polish changed. I double checked to see if they were open today, being it was a Monday, and according to Unilocal it was. As I approached the shop I noticed that it was closed with a note that said, «to all boutique customers, Please call me at ***-**** and I will come open the shop for you as i temporarily live 5 minutes away.» I found this to be ODD to say the least. In my opinion, If you are going to open a business you need to be there during normal business hours, or do not advertise that you are open. I do not have time to wait around for someone to get dressed and come to «THEIR» place of business! I do not feel this is good business practice! Too many young people are opening businesses and are completely unaware of what it takes to run a business. I will continue to travel to Modesto sadly instead of giving my hometown anymore business. So I do not recommend to shop Newman as you never know if the owner of the business will have the store open unless it is a large chain store!

Just had my chemical peel. Relaxing and my face feels awesome. I highly recommend coming here. Awesome atmosohere. Can also have nails and/​or pedicure and do some boutique shopping.

Glam’d up is a cute little boutique in downtown Newman. I heard about it from a co-​worker and decided to check it out. They sell all kinds of cute little accessories and girlie types of things. One of the owners, has a eye for crafty-​types of things and is a big supporter of entrepreneurs. If you have a craft to sell, check her out, she might be able to help.
I saw Maxine for my facial, and it was amazing! She is so sweet and explained step by step what she was doing and how it benefits my skin. She sells the products that she uses and I was able to purchase a sample size of it try out. I also purchased her matte finish moisturizer that I am in love with. It’s more affordable than the Clinique products I currently use and has a higher SPF, plus smells waaayyy better! She recommended it to me because I have oily skin and I can defiantly see a difference. After my facial my skin felt considerably better for weeks after. I will be back for sure.
You can’t beat her prices, plus the atmosphere of her facial room makes you feel like your in a high end spa. She played relaxing music and had soft comfy robes. It was an hour of heaven!
