LOVE. I was looking for a twin bed headboard for my son, and I found a great one for 30.00. I was standing there wondering whether it had a frame, and whether it would fit in my car, when some employees arrived. They put it together in the store, found slats to fit it, went to the basement and found a box spring that fit. And there was someone to deliver(for a fee) who followed me home right then and there. Friendliest, most helpful store ever.

This place definitely put other thrift stores/consignment shops to shame. I’m in that store at least twice a week because of the deals. I’ve bought beautiful designer work suits from Bananna Replublic, Ralph Lauren etc for $ 12.99. But here’s what’s going on as of April 2015-they shipped out most of the clothing to other SA so now the Newington store is strictly furniture and electronics, anything for the home. I was told Newington is the furniture distribution center for all CT stores and I’m telling you the sofas(few leather sofas) are priced under $ 300 which you probably pay well over 5xs the price. I was impressed and tell people every chance I get to go there. Over 9 — 10 trucks a day come into the store a with goods. Savers and Goodwill doesn’t even compare with the quality goods I’ve seen at Salvation Army in Newington, CT. Signed, Savvy Shopper

Biggest Salvation Army in the area(or at least the biggest that I’ve been to!). There were racks and racks of clothes and furniture in the middle of the store as well as a separate room full of it! There was also a separate room for housewares. On this trip, I scored a Banana Republic Merino wool sweater for my husband for $ 2, and a maternity dress(new with tags) $ 3. I’ll be stopping in again since on the same street there is a Goodwill & a Savers!

Great Prices on books! All are $ 0.50 They also have a large furniture section. All the staff were happy and had a positive attitude, willing to help you out in any way they can.(Unlike many of the other thrift shops in the area)
