My cousin used to be the manager so I tried to purchase a part from them today. I met Chad through an inquiry phone call to be sure they had what I need. He assured me they did so I drove 18 miles to pick it up. When I came in he told me he was confused about what I needed.(I’d given specific numbers in the call). He told me the W. Hartford store had the part but as I stood there when he called he stated to the person on the other end«we don’t sell just the part right?» He got off the phone and quoted me $ 129.00 to fix my computer. I told him the part on eBay was $ 10 and only had to be plugged in as I’d disassembled the computer. He told me it was a special order. Just like shady auto repair when they think you are clueless. The part is a dc power jack for an Acer Aspire 5741. He was a condescending no-nothing. I hope his boss reads this. Lost my business forever. I’ll tell anyone who needs repairs to avoid this company. My friend from shared with me that he had tried to use their services as well. His son had a computer that was having a blue screen issue. My good buddy Chad offered advice. I think the owners of PCW should spend a little more time investigating the skills of their employees. Both in terms of customer service and actual skills with computers.

I went to get my wifi in my mac book pro fixed, and they«fixed» it for a fee of $ 51.00. Then, a few days later, the wifi began having problems again so I called and asked about getting it fixed again. They said I would have to order the part and bring it to them and they would fix it for free. Being a college student, I needed my laptop almost every day to work on school work so I waited to get the laptop fixed, and suffered without wifi for a while. Then, I called PCW up to ask what part I would need to get, and they said they had no idea. I am NOT a computer person so I tried searching online for what I thought was the right part. PCW said it would be fixed in 3 – 5 days, and would cost me another $ 69.00! I needed it fixed so I said yeah sure. One week later, I called back asking about my laptop, and PCW told me I had the wrong part, and that PCW had called me and left a voice mail a few days earlier to let me know. There was no call. There was no voice mail. Now, I will hopefully get the $ 50 I spent on the replacement part back, and then spend another $ 100 for PCW to get the part and fix it, even though they couldn’t get the part before. This was the worst waste of time, money, and gas that I ever spent. In total I’ve paid PCW more than $ 150.00 to fix my laptop, and I hope for their sake its actually fixed this time.
