My favorite sushi place in SCV. It’s a hidden gem with the best quality sushi in this area. The owners are the best and make you feel part of the family. I can’t recommend this place enough. Can’t beat the all you can eat deal!

I’ve come here a few times by myself and just brought one of my foremen here. We are big sushi eaters and visit different sushi bars quite often. This place rocks! You get all you can eat in one hour and they keep it coming! I was well stuffed 40 minutes into our«all you can eat» and I can eat A LOT!!! Thanx for the great service Miguel!!!

I just moved to the area and have been to this sushi bar three times. I love it! The sushi is fresh and they have creative sushi orders if you watch the locals order.(Ex: whitefish with lemon, salt, and mint — so delicious!) The staff is super friendly and I love the fact that I can come by myself and sit at the bar and end up making friends before I leave. I recommend this spot for the all you can eat or the order as you go — this place does not disappoint!

Absolutely amazing. This was my first time coming to light and healthy and my expectations were met and exceeded. If you are looking for quality COMEHERE! They did not have baked muscles or specialty rolls ONTHEIRALLYOUCANEATMENU which bummed me out at first UNTIL the chef started making us sushi. WOWOWOW. I mean I can go on and on but it’s time you’d be wasting that could be used to drive here

I’ve been going here for years. Simply the best! Always consistent, always fresh. My favorite sushi bar! Spicy tuna salad is a must. I also love the spicy shrimp & crab hand roll and spicy scallop roll.

Absolutely will not go back. When we went in it was slow, yet service was still poor — had to ask for water more than once while the waiter danced around listening to the radio. Sushi was barely OK — lots of rice and thin small slices of fish. Rolls were a total disappointment — lots of rice and little fish. Actually the rice had a funky dish-rag smell. Seriously, there are so many other options on Ventura. I think I’ll just go back to Midouri, their rolls are amazing.

The best sushi for 25 years. I have tried to find a spicy tuna handroll that measures up to to Light and Healthy’s and I haven’t been able to.

Wow! This place is amazing. I was a bit thrown back by the décor, but it was quickly forgotten. All the fish was really fresh and portions were spot on. Usually the rice to too plentiful when it’s AYCE, but the ratio here was just perfect, not to mention the flavor was the rice was spot on. The food aside, what makes this place fantastic are the owners and patrons. Everyone is extremely friendly and attentive, but this seems to be the case for everyone I’ve met thus far from the SCV area. Again, this place is highly(highly recommended). Looking forward to going back next time we’re in the area. Thank you, thank you, thank you for an amazing(and friendly) lunch experience. Keep up the great work and your patrons will continue their with their loyalty. This place rocks!

Our favorite sushi place for more than 15 years! It’s nice to be part of the Light and Healthy regulars. This is traditional style sushi in the perfect proportion. You won’t find crazy rolls with cream sauce here; not their style. My favorites: white fish with lemon/spicy and veggie & crab hand rolls. Thank you, Miguel and server, Mickie for your outstanding service and extra special care.

Hands down the best AYCE sushi spot I’ve been to. My usual nigiri consists of salmon(topped w ponzu and green onions), yellowtail, whitefish(chili oil, lemon, masago, green onion, ponzo), the marijuana(white fish with shisho leaf and salt), tuna…(Mouth drooling as I write this post)

Probably one of the best AYCE sushi places in the Los Angeles region. I must preface by saying that it is ONLY nigiri/cut/hand roll style sushi. No specialty rolls drenched in fried tempura flakes and eel sauce. To me, this is a great thing, and a risky thing on Light and Healthy’s behalf. Doing only this style of sushi makes it vulnerable to the freshness of the fish itself, because there are no gimmicks or sauces to hide bad flavors. Luckily, as evident by my stars for an AYCE, that freshness is NOT a shortcoming, but rather, Light and Healthy’s triumph. Keeping in mind this is an AYCE meal, it has definitely been one of the best experiences I’ve had. Sat at the bar with Miguel as our chef. This owner/chef is quirky, stoic, yet homely. An embodiment of the Japanese people, Miguel and his wife? are wonderful and attentive, charming and charismatic. You’ll see once you get there. They fed us almost the whole menu, allowing us to order the fish we want, while Miguel tweaked the fish with Japanese herbs, sauces, and other local ingredients. I ordered 4 pieces of yellowtail, and he came at me with three different styles. One being a traditional fish on rice, another with a Japanese mint leaf, and another with ponzu, green onions, and chili oil. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We sat next to a couple that have been dining at Light and Healthy(and Miguel) for over 15 years! I can see why.

Tried this place because our neighbor recommended it, never again. All you can eat for lunch is $ 27 per person, basic sushi selection & a ton of stipulations. What a waste of money. And the service is poor, rude & slow. And it was old & dingy. Only reason we proceeded was our neighbor really likes this place, so we gave it a go. Bad idea. Our sushi chef’s name is Yoshi, he had a bad attitude from the start and was purposely going slow to make our order.(You have an hour for All you can eat). At one point we sat for 18mins. waiting for him to even acknowledge us. They give you an hour but they’ll take forever to take your order and then charge you extra for going over your allotted time. There were 9 people at the bar with two chefs, but he kept passing us and the couple next to us. He made his«regulars» his priority and didn’t care enough for the other guests. We didn’t even order much(4 cut rolls, 3 hand, &2 tuna salads). Yoshi told us that we can’t order more than 2 hand rolls per person, even though this was an AYCE spot, total bullshit! As we were walking out, the owner taunted my husband saying«You ate too much!». Last I checked we did pay«All you can eat». Assholes. On a positive note… the hostess was very nice and their tuna salad was really worth the hype. But you can only order 1 time if you do «AYCE». Laughable.

It was our first time here today to try this sushi restaurant. Oh boy! Me and my bf got there first amongst us 6 people and we were both so hungry and the guy which we lately found out he was the Owner was so KIND and gave us Spicy Tuna Salad while we were waiting for our family to arrive. He was so entertaining, fast, and so generous with sushi plates. We were celebrating my BF’s Birthday so he made some extra special sushi for him and surprised my BF with some tempura green tea ice cream for his Birthday. We were so SATISFIED that we gave him $ 40TIP from US, we never done that before but HEDESERVED that $ 40TIP… Everything was SUPEREXCELLENT! !

This is the best sushi in Santa Clarita hands down. It is the only all you can eat place in the entire area that makes their nigiri with the correct rice to fish ratio, and they use quality fish. They’re not like the other sushi places that make crap sushi for better profit margins. They make their sushi right, and therefore don’t make much money doing it. They don’t do it for the money, but for the love of sushi. I strongly recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. It’s the only all-you-can-eat I can do. They have very fresh fish. They also have the very best spicy shrimp and crab rolls which is comfort food for me. My recommendations are: Spicy shrimp and crab White fish Yellowtail Don’t be fooled by the ugly exterior and décor. This is very good food.
