I took lessons here from Susan for several months. I never had any of the problems that some of the others here have described. On the rare occasions when my lesson might be delayed Susan always extended the time so that I got a full lesson. The horse was always ready to go and I would frequently stay and unsaddle and untack him afterward, brush and groom him, hose him down if need be, because I wanted to learn everything and not just jump on and ride, then hop off and split like some lesson riders do.
People need to realize that horse operations are rarely run like a five star hotel. You are paying for their expertise, not for a fake smile and mints on the pillow. I found Susan and Tammy to be personable and helpful. When I made a mistake Susan corrected me patiently and when I did well, she told me so. She is a horsewoman and good at what she does. I’d still be there but I own one horse now and am half leasing another.

I bought a Living Social Voucher for me and two other people to get riding lessons. I bought the one for 1 hour each.
I called to make an appointment and the lady that answered told me that I needed to email my request. So then I emailed them and it was kind of like pulling teeth. It felt like I had to be the one asking all of the questions as to what days were available. I would ask, OK are you available on this date, and she would respond with a simple No instead of offering me other options. I had to be the one to ask for more options which I thought was strange. After what felt like forever, we set a date. A week before my lesson I emailed to confirm the date. She NEVER responded (still hasn’t). So then I called because I started getting worried. She didn’t return my call either! Now I am going to have to ask for a refund because obviously they don’t want to give me a lesson.
It is not okay to ignore their customers. Especially the ones that paid for their lessons in advance.
I was really looking forward to the lesson. Looks like I’m going to have to search somewhere else.

Unorganized, badly run and unsafe place for children’s riding lessons.
They do not follow basic safety rules and place beginners on unsafe horses.
They are also not very kind or thoughtful, but very rude. This stable is the worst we have ever seen.

Tammy herself was not on a ranch, only two ladies and some children for the small group hour lesson. The horses looked tired even though it was just early morning. I was assigned to a small horse who seemed to be almost beyond exhaustion so I asked for a replacement. The lady coordinating it snarled and very rudely finally let this one go into a stall. The lesson arena is good, horses are okay, and I can keep my own on a horse, but it’s NOT okay how she treated the riders, yelling in an angry tone, rudely yelling out corrections to children whenever she got around to actually paying attention to them rather than some advanced riders not even part of the lesson. Most were 1rst time riders but they’re not imbeciles. If you don’t want to teach the lesson, then let someone else! They have the horses, the space, but how their customers are treated is something else entirely. A little kindness and patience would be nice…
