WHAT AN AWFUL NASTY ATTITUDE!.. I have been to this nursery before & its been ok. Then…today I went to pick up some fertilizer & a my wife wanted to get a housewarming gift, the woman who works there, who probably is new (about 30 yrs old or so) snapped my head off when I asked her if it was possible to get a 10% discount (I am a landscaper) She was so nasty & rude.
I must say that the other employees are very nice. I don’t know what her problem is but I will never go back there again. They lost a customer.

Just what I was looking for — a local nursery with good stock.
Buying an orange tree as a birthday present for our grandson, I didn’t want the cheap but unknown of a Home Depot purchase. Here I got a nice naval orange tree, well potted and ready to start growing.

Meh is right. Prices are high and wouldn’t be an issue if the tall, older gentleman behaved as though my business was appreciated. I enjoy gardening and would definitely make Nordic my place if the staff were not rude. Selection is great if you’re desperate. Ask for help and you’ll get an «I’ll be right there.» The only thing is, the guy never comes to help. When you do check out, he sloppily tosses your purchases in your vehicle without any consideration. I have been to Nordic several times and I have not been made to feel welcome even once. I can only give three stars based on the selection and condition of plants I have purchased. Meh.

Lovely little nursery that brings intrigue to my gardens. Difference is, they aren’t run of the mill. The heirloom tomatoes are prevelant. Veggies-​different, bloomers-​variety with a flare. I like different. I like unique. Don’t talk to me about Home Depot for my gardens. I head to Nordic and get my fix of quality.

We came here after having left another nursery in Simi Valley whose customer service was lacking. We were assisted at Nordic by Glenn, who answered our questions in detail. We were there researching fruit trees and although he was the only employee there, he took his time with us and we never felt rushed. This is the second time I purchase from Nordic and both times, my experiences have been great. Although a smaller nursery, their customer service and knowledge is excellent. I will definitely be going back to Nordic.

Yesterday was my first Nordic experience and it was great! I will definitely be going back for all of my landscaping needs! The staff was very friendly and super helpful. Clinton helped me select some beautiful pots and succulents and even potted them while a waited. He gave me a lot of advice on how to properly care for the plants as well as information on each of the types of succulents — very knowledgeable!

I have lived out here since 1971 and seen nurseries come and go. Nordic has always been the best one. The staff, especially Mark, are exceptional. They are knowledge and always friendly. They will spend as much time as needed to help you find what you are looking for. Their suggestions are always valuable. They stand behind what they sell, and I appreciate the discount coupons and newsletter they send out to customers. This independent business deserves our local support –it’s as fair and honest as they come.

A Newbury Park landmark, as far as I’m concerned. They are super knowledgable about everything garden related. Always buy my plant starts there. No Home Depot hassle or lines. Conveniently located right off the freeway w/​o the mini-​mall traffic.

Paul is super friendly and gives lots of good garden tips. They have local coupons $ 10 off 450 and sometimes will cut you a deal in other ways. They are honest and will stop you buying more expensive items if it is not what you need. Great selection of veggie starts including celery (hard to find) and lovely garden plants and vines

The staff is amazing, super knowledgable about every aspect of gardening and beyond. Very personalized service way beyond any box store.
The feel of the nursery is very tranquil, beautiful selection, even a Koi pond. Making the gardening experience what it should be in this very busy world. As the saying goes «take some time to smell the roses».
You will enjoy doing it here.

For me, they had way more than I’d ever need in the way of selection but just compared to Home Depot or Armstrong’s they just don’t have the selection… that is the single reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars.
i would imagine most people that head to the nursery are not experts so this place is for most people. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Now keep in mind, they aren’t going around asking if you need help but the second you ask, you’ll get all your info, a bit of humor and a friendly delivery of the info. The prices are fair and as I mentioned, more selection then I’d ever need.
