Visited the park this weekend for the annual Arts & Crafts Festival. What a wonderful event and friendly crowd! Everyone was super nice and outgoing. We walked around the festival making friends at every booth, inside and out. The vendors offered everything from soy candles to jewelry, unique art pieces to kids’ angel wings. The event was coordinated perfectly, there was ample parking and people everywhere wore smiles(maybe due to the incredible weather we had this weekend)! We’ll definitely be back next year to see what new creative goods the exhibitors have to display!

Comment on Conejo Creek North Park: Here is the park’s stated purpose: «As a district-wide park, Conejo Creek North is designed to provide citizens relief from the noise and congestion of the city without having to travel a great distance.» This is a gorgeous public park with first rate faciliites, shade, a man-made creek that the kids can stomp around in, great playgrounds for the little ones, sand pit volleyball courts and more. However, our Mother’ s Day picnic was completely ruined by huge groups who had no respect for others. Boom Boxes were blasting music, obnoxious young adults(late teen/early 20’s) were filling huge quantities of water balloons in the restroom making the concrete floor a disgusting swamp, then chasing and pelting one another — leaving balloon trash everywhere. Also, dipping buckets in the creek, chasing and dumping very questionable water over one another’s heads. I saw one park ranger stroll through over a 4 hour period of time. Nobody was around to put the lid on these obnoxious people. I’ll never go there on a week-end again.
