Newaygo Cottage is a «home base» for your vacation in rural Michigan.

The Muskegon River is great for canoeing and tubing during the summer. It is also a great tailwater fishery with some premier fishing.

Newaygo Cottage is located in the Manistee National Forest, with both state and Federal land nearby for hunting. Newaygo Cottage is also located less than 10 miles from the trailhead of the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail, which connects to the larger network of Michigan’s 6100 interconnected, groomed snowmobile trails.

History

Established in 1956.

Newaygo Cottage has been in the Love family since its completion more than 50 years ago. While the cabin itself has been updated with modern conveniences like high-​def satellite TV, the classic joy of going «up north» and spending time relaxing by the river is the same as always.
