«Meh» about sums it up. This is a decidedly below-average coffee kiosk located in Terminal C of the Newark airport. Location(proximity to gates) is really the only thing it has going for it. It’s the kind of place that flourishes in an airport with limited dining options but would not survive out in the real world due to competition. I ordered a cup ‘o Joe and a corn muffin and both were pretty terrible. Coffee was memorable, but only because it accomplished the rare feat of being excessively bitter yet at the same time devoid of flavor. I’m not even sure how that’s possible, but that’s the only way I can think to describe the brew I received. Corn muffin was bone dry, flavorless, and dense as a brick. I ate the entire thing because I was hungry but it lay like lead in my stomach for a while after. I’ll rate it stars only because of convenience and the fact that service was surprisingly decent(at least by Newark airport standards). Very poor overall and I would only return out of extreme necessity — I’ll be looking for another dining option next time I’m back at EWR.

I had the pleasure of trying the smoothie as well as the horchatta latte. I don’t regret either. Prices are fair for an airport café.

I just had the most terrible experience at this place. Their regular coffee can be mistaken for coffee flavored water. I requested a new fresh pot, and the woman at the counter said«Not all coffee tastes the same. There’s a Starbucks around the corner…» Excuse me??? Don’t waste your time, your money and certainly not your kindness to this establishment

Average coffee shop in terminal C right next to gate 109. I ordered a large drip coffee($ 4) which came out pipping hot! I had to wait about 10 mins to take the first sip. They have a nice selection of espresso drinks, fresh juices and pastries. Service was fast and friendly. There was no line which was a welcome sight having just passed Starbucks which had a line 15 people deep. There are a few small tables if you’d like to sit in the copy shop vs your gate. Overall not a bad place to stop and probably a better choice than starbucks if you are in a hurry.

Customer service was nice and the coffee was just what I needed. However be aware you are in a airport so it is overpriced.

If there’s a long line at the first world bean you see as soon as you walk towards the end for the terminal, go to the one even further back. It’s self check out and if you’re grabbing regular drip coffee, no wait. Remember to pay though… We might have forgotten to pay the first time(but we went back like the good citizens we are).

Very rare to find good tea at any of the chain stores like Starbucks, CBTL or Peets. This place has a second flush darjeeling which is awesome. Also the people working there were nice.

I’m pretty sure one of the employees accidentally dipped her sleeve into the foam of a customers drink then placed the lid on and served it. On top of that they have amazingly slow service and very disinterested employees. 1 star for bad service and ethically questionable employees

I got a large Americano and it tasted like water. I was so confused because they had one price and said that it was for any size so I don’t know why people would choose small unless it was the same espresso that they just filled with water to the top. Maybe that’s why the large tasted like water?

Just to be clear, there are two of these shops in terminal C. I went to the one closest to gate 84(NOT the one in the hub with all the tables) and had a very positive experience. Their juice machine was down, so they very nicely offered a smoothie any way I wanted it AND at a discount. What a really nice surprise! I forget the name of the smoothie I got, but it has banana, kale, spinach, and some other good stuff in it. Well worth it! Thank you to the gentleman who took my order. Kindness goes a long way. :)

Some good healthy snacks here — like chips made out of beans. Price was relatively low for juice. Juicer was broken, but smoothie did the trick. And they added ginger.

I’ve been having a bit of bad luck with airport coffee places lately. I went to worldbean intending to get an iced chai but saw they made iced thai tea and I LOVE Thai tea. Unfortunately it doesn’t taste or look anything like thai tea to the point that I have to wonder if they’ve ever seen or had thai tea before. There’s an easily noticeable 1 cm of condensed milk right at the bottom of the tea and I can just barely tell that there’s some sort of tea underneath all the milk. I’m pretty sure they didn’t use any kind of Thai tea in this and it’s just some cheap black tea. Overall subpar service with low quality tea. Not the kind of drink break you want after carrying a bunch of heavy luggage.

Is there zero stars? Worst coffee place ever! I ordered a «MOCHA» cost $ 6.50… I got a latte which tasted horrible(tastes like they burnt their beans). I brought it back to the counter and told the lady that she gave me the wrong order. She started arguing with me saying I said«latte» when I know for a fact I would never order a latte. I told her she just gave me the wrong drink, she said I was crazy and that she wouldn’t change my order or give me my money back. So rudeeee! Horrible customer service. Save your money. Not worth it!!!

For a coffee shop in an Airport it’s really Delish! Got the Iced Carmel Latte! Poor girl kept getting people’s order wrong though and a tiny sandwich or little salad was 11 dollars… Airport prices… Ehhh… Great coffee for a decent price though! !

Stopped in for a latte after hearing my flight was delayed. It wasn’t really the choice I was looking for but more the case of there wasn’t anything else in the immediate vicinity. Found the employees pre-occupied and disinterested, the place was dirty, tables needed to be wiped down, the trash cans were over-flowing and the floor was littered with food crumbles and trash. After watching my drink being made and the employee wiping down the side of my cup with a dirty rag where the product over flowed, I found a lid on the grungy counter, pop it on and set it in the trash before tasting it. This place was disgusting.

Not friendly, fast, or tasty, this«coffee» spot continues the tradition of suboptimal food and caffeine choices in major airports. To be fair, my espresso was both bitter and strong enough to jolt my system in to a brief state of alertness. My oat scone was dry but not unedible with a half dozen oat flakes sprinkled on for my health. Can I go now?

Hell no! The only highlight of this place is a shiny espresso machine which no one knows how to use. If you need a wake me up, only get coffee, nothing more. Do not give this place more money than a cup of coffee. Apparently this place thinks iced mocha as a cheap chocolate ice cream topping which floats upon top of milk, ice, and espresso. What an sick joke. Pathetic. On a somewhat positive note, one person was nice, the rest had chips on their shoulders.

Food was alright but the worst part is that they charge you by up to $ 1 over the prices listed on the board. I brought it up and the woman said-oh yeah that’s the tax and then I stated that it rang up for more than listed to which she said-oh yeah the prices listed are all out of date. I told her that was illegal to which she said«yeah but everyone catches it so it’s ok» Watch out!

If you are stuck in Newark for four hours after a red eye morning flight, all you want is a decent cup of coffee. Not too strong, not too weak and where you can dump enough sugar and cream to shock your system into a state of semi alertness. Worldbean does not give you this. They instead charge you $ 3 for something that can best be described as water stepped in an urn of old coffee beans. I even found some beans in the bottom of my cup. Quite possibly the worst coffee i have had. I’m pretty sure they mix it with the old av gas they have left over in the terminal.

Not the friendliness place you wish to spend your had earned money which is probably why there was no waiting. Grab a «cheese» danish and a latte as I was waiting for my flight. Nothing fancy, a couple of tables so you can sit and enjoy while waiting for your flight. Clean looking from my side of the counter, staff just not very social but gets your order and change correctly so you can get going for your flight. In others eyes this may rate higher because they are in a rush and have no time for small talk.

Caveat: This review is based on a single visit, so perhaps I was lucky. I visited the kiosk near the C130 gates. I was really craving a good latte. I didn’t know the Worldbean banner before. I was a bit skeptical due to the few bad reviews here and the general bad coffee in airports. But seeing the Synesso machine and the naked portafilter convinced me of trying it anyway — it takes some skill to use a naked portafilter, and I would see right away if they were doing something wrong. The lady who prepared my latte definately knew what she was doing. I saw her doing a proper tamp, the pull was a little quick but still within an acceptable range, and she didn’t burn the milk. She even did a nice rosetta while pouring the microfoam. I’m very picky with my lattes, it was not spectacular, but it was good and well appreciated.

World Bean literally takes over where Dunkin Donuts was… what were they thinking? 3 unmotivated employees man the desolate shop. There are magazine stands on the floor making you believe that is what they really want you to buy. I bought a $ 2.887 oz small black coffee and an exorbitantly priced danish left from yesterday. They destroyed the whole food court area with these new venues all lined with magazone stands. Pack a lunch.
