History

Established in 2013.

Our art Instructor is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the oldest art school in the nation, where he trained as both a painter and a print maker. Upon graduation, he spent his next 18 years pursuing a career in the video game industry as a graphic designer creating graphics and animation for Game Boy Games and Cell Phone Games. The instructor is the son of an impressionistic painter whose career and work focused on nature and light. The name «Studio of Joy» is a tribute to the artist’s mother, as well as a play on words to acknowledge the «joy» of creativity. Today the Studio of Joy is teaching art to students of all ages. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced student of art, the instructors sharp eye, attention to detail, creative approach and clear instruction are sure to help you reach your artistic goals.
