Please don’t come here! My parents were almost involved in an accident due their workmanship. I am thankful that I only have to pay for a very expensive repair and that I still have my loved ones with me. I can only think that have been planning two funerals instead of writing this review right now.

Fuck Sears.
Scheduled the delivery today. ⁶⁄₃. Eta was 803 then I waited until 833. Then the truck delivery person called and tells me another 10−15min. Who in the world has this time to play your waiting game.
I am self employed and I got customers that I needed to cancel because of this. What a disaster on Sears when it comes promised time for delivery.

Don’t buy anything from here or there warranty not worth it at all
I bought a fridge 7month ago an come with warranty for a year an I bought extended warranty just in case something went wrong so now my fridge making a loud noise like a air compressor an it’s not cooling so I call the number for warranty they send a tech he said its normal how is it normal if it sounds like a air compressor an it’s not cooling so I call customer solutions number I told em I need it fix they just kept saying we sorry if the tech said its normal we can’t fix it when I told em I had a vid of the fridge an he ignore me what happens to the customers always rite bunch of bs
Stay away from any sears warranty my ass am so mad my food going waste I might just have to go buy a fridge some were els once I get my check I hope a Maneger reads this

Sears, you need to do something about these cashiers. They take too long with one customer. Maybe have more cashiers than just having one person.

I recently pulled into a Sears Auto center at 5:45 pm with a nail in my tire. The person at the desk said the technician went home 10 minutes ago so they couldn’t do anything. The sign on the door said they were open to 6 pm.
I had taken the chance that my tire would not go flat by driving to Sears knowing they were open to 6 pm and so now I was in danger of going flat. I did a web search and found a Wheel Works about 10 minutes away.
By contrast, I called that Wheel Works which also closed at 6 pm but they said they would wait for me to get there. I got there at 6:10 and they were able to replace the tire.
I am very disappointed in this kind of service. If you say you are open to 6, then you should be able to provide service to someone up to 6 pm. I will not be going back to that Sears in the New Park Mall for tire service, or any other car service from now on.

Went there to purchase a microwave oven. My first clue that the staff in the department didn’t know what they were doing was when I commented that the microwave ovens on display seemed very light and broken. The person agreed. Then later I found the small print that said they were empty displays! Kind of funny they didn’t even know that.
Purchasing the unit was fine. My main complaint was when I tried to leave the store with it. The department is on the top floor, and this is an older building with very narrow escalators. I could not step onto the escalator while holding the microwave oven box because I could not see my feet! I went back to the group of staff standing around and asked if there was an elevator. «Yes, but is is broken» was the answer. (sigh). I commented that I could not get onto the escalator without potentially killing myself… nothing. No offer to help or anything.
Finally resolved the issue by holding the box over my head. Kind of precarious, but much safer.
Oh, and while I am on a roll here, I used to come to this store for tools, but I have given up on that too. People have figured out you can purchase anything (socks, underwear, hats, etc) at the Tool Center counter, and there is usually a long line of people doing that. Subsequently there is no opportunity to get any help from the staff. This isn’t like asking the staff «Do these pants look good on me», it is «Can these wrenches handle the torque I need to provide». This counter should be restricted to purchases from the Tool and Garden center.
And Sears wonders why they don’t have customers? Weird.

I bought my items online for store pickup. Got there and they couldn’t find half my items. One item was the wrong size.
Fine it happens. But the sales people were clueless on what to do. The guy asks me to go to the clothing department to find my items since he doesn’t have them in the back. So I’m doing his job!
At this point I’m so frustrated I do it. I become a Sears salesperson for the afternoon free of charge. Clueless salesperson doesn’t even give me a bag and I have to ask. It would have looked like I took the items off the rack without a bag.
I get my items and still need to return the item which is wrong size. The guy takes it to the back for the return and disappears for 15 min. I had to go to the other side of the store to hunt for a manager. Finally manager gives me a slip and gives it to one of the other cashiers. Of course there’s a line of 6 ppl waiting and they’re pissed that I got to budge in front of them.
What a fail. Wasted my afternoon. Never going to order online Sears since the system is broken and salespeople and management clueless. Completely frustrating experience.

I wanted to write my review as I waited in line… Waited and waited. Not quite sure why we go back or if we ever will. The lines are always long. It doesn’t matter what day or time that you go in, you’ll wait in line for 30 minutes. And it’s not as if there are tons of people. It’s the cashiers. So extra slow. Omg. So extra slow. The poor girl told us today that it’s their computers. I don’t know but it’s not a terrible store to shop in just terrible cashier experience. If anything, I’d stick to the Sears at southland mall in Hayward.

Place is like a sad example of miss managed corporation rotting away. Go to Sears online, pay for tools, receive a message saying everything is ready for pickup and then «we can’t find it»… 3 separate times I bought tools and after I drove to the store the merchandise mysteriously disappeared. But the manager offered to ship me the tools to my house. In a week or so…
Abysmal

Sears delivery service is awful. I purchased a washer and dryer. My first delivery was a waste of my time because the wash machine was dented and had to be returned. The second delivery that was supposed to happen at 12:45 happened at 8:30 p.m. To make matters worse, the delivery man broke my electrical socket and did not hook up any of the items. The third delivery or repair appointment was a no show by the delivery company. You are better off purchasing at the Sears Outlet and using one of the independent delivery services there than the actual Sears store.

The cashier wait was too long. I had to wait like for 30 minutes. Only one cashier for the men department on January 1^st, one of busiest days of the year, yes?

If i could give them 0 stars I would… I bought a craftsman ½ impact from the tool center. I bought the tool because it had 1 year warranty. When I bought the tool nobody told me I would have to leave my phone number on their computer for proof of purchase and warranty to be valid.
6 months later the tool started shooting sparks. Something went wrong with the motor. It would not even turn. So I brought it back to the tool center and they told me I would have to contact craftsman or Sears corporate directly and send it it so they can replace it…, it was late and I could get any phone numbers to work. So I called the next day. Somebody at Sears corporate told me that this particular tool was to be exchanged in store only. She was nice and gave me her sales I’d number and name. She told me have the manager call us if there is a problem. So I went back and told them of situation. Store Manager name was Omar. Omar completely refused to exchange or call corporate until I showed him proof of when it was bought. Called corporate back but the system is so confusing couldn’t get to the right person. I wasted so much time over a simple exchange. So next time your at Sears leave your phone number and e mail on their computer so they can find you.

Here’s my horrible story. Situation is STILL unresolved.
On 11÷10÷15, I purchased a 36″ range hood and a stove top online.
On 11÷20÷15 at installation, the installer opened the package noted that
the hood was dented and advised that I return the item.
I took it directly to Sears at Newpark Mall in Newark, Ca on 11÷20÷15.
The salesperson (ID 63 917) credited me for the damaged item and also
for the installation fee (total credit 295.18 to my Visa)
He then ordered me a new 36 «range hood and installation at a total of
288.03 charged to my Visa 11÷20÷15.
ON 12/​16, I had still not rec’vd the item, nor heard anything from
Sears, so I contacted customer service. I spoke with Simon (ID number
731 678) who was not able to help resolve the problem.
I subsequently spoke with two reps from Customer Solutions.
The 2^nd of these, Jennifer, stated that somehow the install dept had
rec’vd the item but cancelled the install. The installation dept was
unable to re-​request the install.
Jennifer contacted the store manager at Sears Newpark Mall who advised
her that her would credit my order and then re-​order the item for me and
call me to let me know when it would be taken care of.
Unfortunately, she did not give me the manager’s name and I have not
heard anything from anyone,
I called Customer Solutions again on ¹²⁄₁₈ and spoke with someone named
Alex. We were on the phone for 90 minutes. My problem remains
unresolved.
He opened a case for me and he sent my information to
Concessions Research to find my item. He also asked for all of my credit
card information (Is that normal? It did not seem to me that he should
have needed all the information for my Visa credit card since that is
already on record with my purchases).
I never heard anything from Concessions Research despite being told I would hear from them in 2 – 3 days.
As it stands now, Sears has been paid 288.03 via my Visa for an item
(36» range hood) and service (hood installation) which I never rec’vd.
I would like to know my legal recourse for this as it has been over one
month. I have a hole in my kitchen awaiting the item that I paid for!

Burst store to pick up items. Be aware of store pickup. Most of the time they shut down the computer so there is no record of 5 min delivery. Also they are manipulating the order delivery means not given all of the items and whenever you asked then only providing items. Sometimes we dont remember all the items of the order and they are very clever …

Let’s start off with if I could give no stars I would. Stay far away from this place made an appointment for my oil change which I’ve been getting for how many years and never did it take 2.5 hours then while I’m asking the receptionist Sheila about my car she answers with a rude unhelpful attitude. She comments they should have told you it would take over two hours instead of having the respect to apologize and then let me know for further reference. There was so many more about her I could go on for a much longer complain than I am but I’m going to leave it at this. She is a terrible employee no customer skills and needs to be trained how to treat paying customers. Please read this and help her understand her behaviors are not ok at work.

Where do I start. Saturday washer breaks, go to Sears to get a new one. Say it can be delivered on Wednesday. Missed the call on Wednesday so it got rescheduled for Friday. On Friday morning, get a call saying the washer is no longer in stock and will not be available until a month out. Fine. Go back to Sears and pick out a new one. Scheduled delivery is now Sunday. Given a two hour period, 15 minutes pass that time, get a call that the delivery truck has broken down. Say they can deliver it on Tuesday. I called the store and canceled my order. Found it at Lowe’s and within 20 minutes picked it up and had at home. Will never buy anything at Sears again. This does not reflect the staff at the store because everyone was super helpful in trying to be as accommodating as they could. It’s more of how the operation is run as a company as a whole.

I’ve come here twice in the past few weeks to look through washer, dryers, and fridges and each time I felt like there were hoards of sales people trying to get in my business as I just want to peruse. Stop asking me if I need help! I will go to you if I need any help. But I guess there are some people who want to be approached.
They do give you a paper measuring tape to help you measure items which is nice. They are the only sellers of Kenmore products so if you want Kenmore… then go here. Otherwise do shop around for your appliances. It’s also nice they have a large stock of plugged in fridges so that you can see how they would function and look like when they’re running.

So Sears is still stuck in the 1950’s…okay.give it some credit, the 1980’s. As soon as you walk into this Sears, it’s literally like walking in to a old tv show, seeing the way things used to be. It’s got the white lighting, extremely old signs, and goods cluttered about. The signage for prices is absolutely ridiculous. As soon as you walk in, they’ve taken the big isle in the middle and piled it up with goods. There were corn dog makers piled with hand mixers, coffee machines and so forth. Okay so it’s a little messy, but what killed me is that they only have a sign listing one of those items, even though theres a good 10 of each. Ok so just take it to the price scanner right? Wrong, those things stopped working in the 90’s. You’ll stand there like a idiot watching red lasers try and tag your item. Not one item worked. after trying multiple times.
I usually avoid sears at all costs but this one instance my husband saw a really good deal online on a video game. Upon arriving in the ‘electronics’, which is mostly composed of vacuums and tv’s, we found the casing for games. Apparently they are going to stop selling games hence they had no new ones, nor were the old ones on sale. They have these commuters scattered about the store to ‘look up items’. Tried that twice, on two different computers. Apparently the letter ‘p’ gets you into their settings, so while searching for the product, if it has a ‘p’ in it, it’ll just take you to the control panel. Early 90’s dos system might have been better.
So if you want to have a nostalgic trip back in time, before marketers spruced up stores, before designers made attractive displays, before managers actually walked through their store and saw the mess, take a trip to Sears.

I went with my boyfriend to drop off his Mercedes Benz S550 for alignment. Upon picking up his car I noticed the bumper coming off on the passenger’s side as he pulled out of the parking lot. We immediately went back. There was NO damage notated on the vehicle intake + courtesy inspection when we dropped his car off and they actually added that to the yellow sheet! We spent almost two hours trying to review all of the camera’s at Sears and from the mall security for the parking lot.
The cameras in Sears are not facing the cars but facing the batteries so they don’t get stolen per the manager! No video proof of the damage…
Long story short Sears insurance is refusing to fix his bumper that they damaged by not pressing the button to lift the air bags above the tires which is standard practice prior to putting this car up on the rack.
If you have an expensive car DO NOT take it to Sears, their technicians are careless and the Sears insurance won’t cover damages not on camera. The cameras in the Sears automotive department don’t face the cars… Be aware, you have been warned!

This Sears is ridiculous. I went on a Friday at noon and there were no employees at any of the checkout counters except one. This one woman had a line of five people and was helping two picky women who were freaking out about the price of everything. The employee called for helped four times and finally another equally slow employee came to help.
In fact, I’m still in line thirty minutes later…
