I was taught to always start with saying what’s good. Well… It’s a relatively spacious lounge, it’s more or less clean and somewhat quiet. But this is definitely no place to really relax and enjoy some good food before a long flight. The«buffet» contains four sorts of bread or cracker, potato salad, tuna salad, one type of cheese and some green leaves(aka salad). Oh, almost forgot the tiny cherry tomatoes and instant soup out of the supermarket container. The only lounge(s) worse than that is/are the United Club Lounge(s). Next time I’ll get earlier to the airport and sit across the hall in the Lufthansa Lounge. That one is more crowed but way better and more variety of hot and cold food. I’m very disappointed of this SAS Lounge. I expected more.

Easily the worst lounge I have experienced thus far in my travels. Tiny food selection which isn’t sufficient if you are hungry and bigger than a mouse. they offer microwave ramen… Luke warm beers. No sound on the tvs. The lounge is packed and with rude travelers taking up significantly large spaces.

As a Star Alliance Member, I always look for opportunities to use my card and relax at one of the airport lounges. This lounge is a great place to relax before your flight. The front desk attendants were friendly and even watched my bag when I used the wash room. It’s clean, bright, lots of seating, tables, and places to charge up your electronics. The best part of course is the food! They had a small buffet of hot food and cold salad items; cookies, fruits, and plenty of drinks. There wasn’t much that I could eat so I just made myself a delicious salad. If you get the chance, treat yourself and relax in their lounge before you jet off!

A calm and easy going place to spend a layover at. Get some food, newspaper or just rest in the comfy sofas and your flight will be just around the corner. If you wanna go on a spree, there are plenty of alcoholic beverages to consume. Although you might not wanna go totally crazy due to other visitors. They have electronic outlets almost everywhere so you might wanna take the chance to boost your phone or tablet for the trip. This is a nice little oasis in the middle of crazy Newark, and if you got the time, you should probably try spend it here.

Summary: Slightly better than the Luftansa Lounge. Both work if you have Star Alliance, you can check and figure out the least crowded of the two. The Lounge: CLEAN! Better than the those in other terminals and on par with Luftansa across the hall. It’s actually adorable, because these two lounges are some of the best in what is clearly the worst terminal in Newark(see Review). Food: Definitely better than your outside options, though not substantial if you’re starving. If you are creative, though you can make it work. There is a nice selection of beverages and I quite love a nice salad, bread, and soup, so usually this works just fine for me. The atmosphere: Bright and Scandinavian. And seriously, not that I’ve become a snotty NYer or anything, but I hate leaving this lounge for ugly terminal 2, and I can’t imagine having to wait in terminal 2 without lounge access.

I would love to give this lounge 4 stars maybe even 5, but I really did not enjoy my last encounter with the agent at the door. I spend a lot of time traveling in and out of lounges. I’ve seen some really nice place along with really nice people. I also spend a ton of money for these extra amenities. Airlines are stingy and I don’t appreciate that one bit. I was flying business class to Europe via TAP which is part of the star alliance and unfortunately they do not have a lounge and share this SAS lounge as their partner airline. Last year, 6 months ago, I came here with a different agent and she was able to take care of me, I was flying with my mother and brother. Brother did not have a business class seat, but the agent allowed him to stay with me and I appreciated that very much. This time my cousin was flying with me and same situation. I offered to pay first, then we inquired if United’s(Star Alliance Partner) Lounge Pass would be accepted. They told me no, thats united’s lounge only. Now we’ll review the lounge itself. They have a lot of things to offer. Salads, Sandwiches, Finger food, Soft Drinks, Liquor, Magazines Very spacious lounge, did not try to see if they had wifi. If I have to stay here again I will, but not because I choose to, but because thats the only thing available.

This is the best thing Newark airport(EWR) has, in my opinion… There are many late night(9−10pm) flights to Europe departing from EWR and if you are flying with European airline, you will probably hang out here. A few kinds of snacks including salad, bread, instant noodle soup and at around 9 pm, a few dinner dishes are served(e.g. mini sandwich, noodle dish). Quite spacious as well.

Terminal B by gate 60. Very small and crowded lounge. I’m on a 6:00 flight, can’t imagine how bad it will be for the 10 – 11:00 flights. Nice selection of hot plates and snacks. There is no separate TV area so you have to watch in silence. This place just barely beats out the the Irish pub that’s available just around the corner in the terminal. It’s got better chairs and the food is free. If you want better food and audio with your video experience, head around the corner.

This is an above average lounge compared to others that I’ve been to. However, it was quite overcrowded since plenty of airlines had to share this lounge. I flew TAP Portugal and was happy to have SAS’s lounge. Plenty of finger foods and beverages including self-serve bottles of decent beer and top-end liquors. A few Macs were available with internet. The lounge was large and seemed comfortable, although crowded.
