History

Established in 2012.

We opened our doors on June 25th 2012 after a complete re-model of the previous restaurant. With a custom built a new bar, an extension of the outdoor seating and the addition of several new HD TV’s we have completely changed the atmosphere of Red Oak Pub.

Meet the Business Owner

Mike S.

Business Owner

As said in the Newark Advocate: If it were possible, Mike Sarap might catch the catfish for the Red Oak Pub’s Po’Boy Sandwich from a pond in the restaurant’s backyard, right next to where the peanuts would be grown, ground and slathered onto the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger.

Because it is not quite possible, Sarap stuck as close as he could to home in every facet of the new Red Oak Pub — from the hamburger toppings to the large oaken bar to the plumbing and electricity that keep things running.

«We really try to keep everything local,» said Sarap, who with his wife, André, will open the restaurant’s doors to the public at 11 a.m. daily.

The renovations that took place to change the former Italian restaurant — of which Sarap also was the owner — into the Red Oak Pub were performed with the help of local contractors.

The food will come from Licking and surrounding counties, and the large oak barrels that form the tables on the main floor are from Raven’s Glenn Winery
