Good chow here. Was in town on business and grabbed some take out. House mein fun and spareribs. Both were very good. I v was more of a fan of the noodles than the ribs but both had nice flavor and were very fresh. The restaurant seemed very clean and staffed by pleasant people.

I’m surprised I hadn’t noticed this place before, even though I’ve been to this strip mall a number of times to shop at Harbor Freight. Maybe the problem is this restaurant is somewhat off to the side. It didn’t look like much from the outside but it did appear to be popular with the locals, although most were only there to pick up orders. I had the roast pork egg foo young combination. The egg roll was actually somewhat better than most Chinese restaurant egg rolls I’ve had. It was fried to a crisp golden-brown and delivered on a smaller plate before the rest of the meal, like a preview of coming attractions. As for the egg foo young, it was decently crisp and it’s nice that they serve it with the sauce on the side, so the whole thing doesn’t become mushy. Also, I thought service was good and attentive, even though there was only one fellow taking care of my order and all those takeout orders. Definitely would revisit.

Very consistent in good Chinese food. The sushi here is also very good. The service is always good but there are never very many in the dining area as most people get takeout. If you do fine in here it’s interesting watching how many people walk in for takeout; It’s a constant stream. The food is always very fresh tasting and the chicken pieces are large. The only thing that would make this place better is changing the basement atmosphere of the dining area.

Love this place. Always fresh, and always delicious. Plus the sushi plates are beautiful.

I have eaten in this restaurant twice and also ordered takeout. I always get the Godzilla rolls and my experience is that it seems to be put together with more care when you dine in. Also, the waiter is so friendly and attentive– however we have been here when there was more family than customers, so it made for a slightly awkward ambiance. The sushi rolls are fresh, which is what is important. It’s too bad strip malls turn people away from good food– as most people that came through the door were there to pick up orders.

I am on a mission to find a new Chinese place after what happened at my favorite Chinese restaurant(see my review of Great Wall ) J & C has both Chinese and Japanese. There were more dumplings and wontons in the order than what I would get at Great Wall, but they were nowhere near as good. They were very doughy and the pork had a weird flavor. The egg roll was terrible, very small and soggy and barely filled. There were not a lot of shrimp in the shrimp with garlic sauce, and they were much smaller than Great Wall. The only thing I really liked were the vegetables. I will keep looking for good Chinese, I may go back to try their Udon. Maybe they are better at Japanese than Chinese.

I work near by and found this place while exploring one day. Since I’ve moved from NY I’ve been looking for really good boneless ribs. This place is the closest I’ve found. Very good. I also repeatedly get their Eel Roll Sushi. Amazing. I wish I could eat it every night. Co-workers also order from here often and have yet to find anything they don’t like. I’ll now drive 15 minutes past 3 other restaurants to get food from here.

After a long day of driving decided to stop and spend the night in Newark, DE. Went exploring and my initial thoughts were the sagging economy has hit Newark pretty hard. Ended up at University Plaza which had a few eating choices. Wouldn’t be the Indian joint as they were closed, permanently. The Italian place looked good from the outside, but I decided on J&C Cuisine. The one room dining area had booths to the right, tables in the middle and a small sushi bar to the left. I was seated in one of the booths. Two other booths were occupied. Three employees, all friendly and attentive. One was dressed in your standard sushi chef outfit. He took care of the J side of the house. Instead, I went with the Szechuan Chicken w/white rice. The menu stated it was in a «Special Golden Sauce». A red flag should of gone up. My dish had plenty of chicken and all the expected vegetables. Unfortunately, the«Special Golden Sauce“was neither. It was a dull orange in color, a slight tangy flavor to it and quite watery. The menu stated this dish was hot and spicy. The chicken and vegetables were hot, but the sauce was not spicy. It was bland and added nothing. I was hungry and I ate most of it, but it wasn’t a good experience. As I was leaving they had a sign up that they were open New Years Eve. H&C Cuisine is not where I would like to have my last meal of 2011. Seek out better options while in Newark DE.
