SAKEBOMB!!! ICHINISAN!!! SAKESAKEBOMB!!! Jun is the greatest human being to ever walk this earth. To be part of his presence is to be a part of something more. Something even greater than yourself. Sitting in this room is akin to sitting above you’re own living body and looming down upon your life and realizing that in this moment. That in this place. In this aura you will be in ultimate peace. It is a transcendental experience that EVERYONE must experience. You are cheating yourself if you do not visit harumi sushi and bask in the glory of Jun.

First time coming to Harumi sushi. We walked in Saturday night 30mins before closing and were greeted and seated by megaphone. The owner/sushi chef had a megaphone that he was using to make everyone laugh in the restaurant. We ordered sake bombs & he would yell in the megaphone«CHEERS!» He was hilarious! We ordered Gyoza, Lobster Crossing, and Spicy Juno. It was delicious! I can’t believe I’ve lived right down the street from here for 5 years and have never eaten there. I love how they have one huge table for large parties in the back because most sushi places are so small & crowded. The two owners and the owners son were very nice and welcoming! Definitely coming back here soon!

One of my friends and I decide to come here after we had a great workout for a quick sushi fix for dinner. We wanted light and savory and this place did the trick for us. I tried the salad with raw salmon and tuna mixed with seaweed salad and my friend ordered two roll. The waiter was nice and refiled out glasses and gave us our complimentary rice and soup with the dinner entrée. Nice servers and good location. I’m a fan and I’ll be back.

Food was good. My boys had they’re teriyaki beef and chicken witch they loved. Nice atmosphere the both times we went, but the service was very slow the second time back. maybe because they only had two servers serving.

Service is so slow. I came here on a Saturday for lunch and waited 35 min for my entrée only to find out that they got it wrong and had to start over. 30 additional minutes later I finally got my food. The place wasn’t even packed, there were only 4 other tables. Food itself is also nothing special. The Udon was a disappointment. overcooked noodles and the soup tastes really strange, kind of like soapy water. The bibimbap was pretty good though. Huge portion and a good variety of toppings.

I like this place, although it usually takes longer for the food ready, but that reflects all dishes are freshly prepared. The first impression of this restaurant is all the dishes are in the large size. They provide both Japanese style and Korean style food, Korean food is better than Japanese ones, they have bento with both Japanese and Korean food choices, my favorite one is bibimbap, tofu soft is also good, not very spicy as other Restanrants.

Absolutely delicious! Harumi has been my go-to spot for the best sashimi and rolls for the past 5 years! I always went to the Cupertino location with a whole bunch of friends after classes finished up and we would always order a Greg Roll. It’s an enormous $ 18 roll that fills up two people. In the past, it used to be larger but they’ve recently cut it down in size by a little. They recently opened up this Newark location which makes everything easier for me since I’m based out of Fremont! I came here last night with my friend and we ordered hamachi and sake sashimi, vegetable tempura, and the Flaming Dragon roll and it was so good! The sashimi especially blew my mind. We both ate until we were stuffed. I highly recommend this location for the pickiest sushi lovers around. They also have a place in Cupertino nearby De Anza College if Newark is too far for you! Simply the best

Good place if your party wants a mix of Japanese and Korean. I lean towards the plus side mostly for the fish based menu items vs. negative based on Sun afternoon meal. On the plus side: interesting rolls, huge cuts of sashimi, good size bento boxes and the place is on the larger side to host bigger parties. On the negative side: it is not a good soon doo boo place, no selection of ban chan(not expecting it but just saying), and slow service since poor girl was the only waitress serving 10 tables. She was nice when available.

Monkey brain and lobster crossing is what we ordered and liked! They seem to use similar sauces on many of their rolls but it’s pretty good!

Sushi is good and you can get free miso soup. But never try Korean food! It is tasteless …

I have been on this sushi kick recently and needed a fix which brought me to Harumi Sushi. They were playing the Warriors on the big screen, 3 stars right there. They were also playing some loud Japanese girl pop music. One star off. On a more serious note, for a sushi spot in the burbs, this is pretty good. It is big, clean and has good service. The salmon was good and I left happy man.

First time here and it was delicious! As we sat down, we got a complimentary miso soup, +1 star !! My tempura udon was perfect and must I say HUGE!!! The tempura was perfect on the side and consisted of 1 shrimp and some veggies. The Harumi roll(deep fried cali roll) was delicious as well with a perfect crispy outside. Teriyaki chicken was good too. The chicken was moist and it came with rice and a green salad which had it delicious dressing on top, YUM!!! The service was good, but the resturant wasn’t too busy… The menu had some Korean food also, but I didn’t order any, maybe next time.

Came in on a Sunday night and was seated on the complete opposite side of the restaurant then the rest of the patrons. With that being said, I feel Like being put so far away made the waitress forget about us. It took about an hour an a half to order, get the food, eat and be done, and we only ordered 3 rolls! Missed our movie we were trying to go see because of how long it took. But the rolls were great, really fresh and creative!

I came here for the first time this evening. It came highly recommended by other friends. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was better than any other sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to! Jun, the owner, brought us sake bombs and got the whole restaurant involved in the fun! We’ve had an awesome time and I can honestly say, this is the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to! Highly recommended!!!

Most Korean-owned Japanese restaurants(maybe except Sushi House) are the same to me… a gamble. You really have no idea if the fish will make you go diarrhea. In this case, the answer is no. It’s a big restaurant that’s attached to a pub so it’s a good place for groups. The rolls are big but the fish is just so-so quality. There are 3 kinds: basic, better, and Harumi. There are also Korean items on the menu like tofu soup and bibimbap. If it’s your birthday, you get to spin the wheel to get a discount or something free.

One of my go-to Japanese restaurants, especially for group dinners! The Incredible roll is my favorite and I love their spicy sauce! I kept the plate around after we finished the roll just to dip gyoza/tempura in the spicy sauce and they were nice enough to bring me a side of it without having to ask. I’m now realizing that the Incredible roll is supposed to come with shrimp tempura, but I’ve sadly noticed that they didn’t include the shrimp the last two times. I love that you have the option of both gyoza and tempura(my favorites) with their bento boxes. Service has been great every time I’ve come to Harumi’s. They’re incredibly friendly and have offered hot miso soup refills as well as asked for our TV channel preferences. I’ve had several group dinners here and they are always accommodating despite how large(and loud lol) our group can get. They have happy hour Monday — Thursday and have a private room for groups. $ 1.99 draft beers and $.99 sake bombs plus karaōke = a fun time. Spin the wheel on your birthday for a treat(sushi, 15% off, teriyaki, etc.)! Definitely recommend Harumi’s for group dinners and sushi cravings!

I had a very good time at this restaurant. We went for dinner at a weeknight and we didn’t have to wait at all and got seated right away. This place was very well decorated and the seats and table were very comfortable(little things, but still matters!) The waitresses were very nice and answered all my questions and gave us some recommendations on what rolls to get. It’s a very large restaurant and have private rooms in the back, so it’s suitable for large parties. Food-wise, everything was alright. We ordered the Bulgogi Bento Box($ 19.95), Assorted Sashimi($ 19.95), The Incredible Roll($ 13.95), Lucky 7 roll($ 13.95). The rolls were done very well. My favorite was the Incredible Roll; the spiciness was a good kick. The Lucky 7 were also pretty good, as it had seared sashimi on top and the smokiness made this pretty appealing. On top of that, the rolls were big. The Assorted Sashimi comes with 18 slices of sashimi(6 different types of fish). They were fresh and very thick pieces, so I would recommend that if you like raw fish! The white tuna and amberjack melted in my mouth and were probably the best pieces on that dish. As for the bulbogi bento box, the meat was not very good. It was a little grainy and a little undercooked. I probably won’t get that again. BUT the tempura on the side was one of the best tempura I’ve had and the portion was very big. Overall a good restaurant, but there’s a lot of other sushi places around this area; I would like to see how this place compares to the others around the area.

We came here after our workout. My workout partner always asks me where I want to eat. She makes me feel special! She always goes for the salmon bento which is served in decent size portion. Two pieces of salmon one of which is between 5 to 6 ouces and the 2nd around 4 ounces. That’s a lot of salmon. I always go for the chirashi bowl. The 18 pc chirashi are big pieces. Bigger than other restaurants. With the 2 pc tamago(egg) makes it a 20 pc chirashi bowl. Both the bento and the bowl were really good. I ended up helping with her bento because she got full. I took the smaller peice of salmon with rice home for later. We didn’t try and rolls but I did notice a whole section dedicated to spicy rolls. We’ll have to try them next time. Friendly and attentive staff that greet you warmly.

The environment is friendly & fun! You can sing karaōke if you’d like! The waitress was nice! My nephew(2yrs old) seemed to enjoy himself! You get your price’s worth which is awesome! Also, it gets pretty busy so there’s a wait for your food. The Flaming Dragon Roll– it was good! Only thing is that it was saucy. Now, I like having sauce, but this roll had a lot of it. Almost drenched in the sauce. Lobster Crossing Roll– couldn’t really taste the lobster but definitely enjoyed the roll overall. Spicy Juno Roll– I definitely enjoyed this roll! The jalapeño added a nice kick to it! Chicken Teriyaki– it was bit bland. Yes, I would come back, but not for the chicken teriyaki. There are other rolls I would like to give a shot!
