Visiting Newark for Udel family weekend with my parents. Slept well until 1 am when the drunk people staying on our floor returned from the bar. They were a large party with more than one room who kept going from room to room slamming doors and yelling in the hallway. Maintainance was called around 2am for something or other, and even the hotel worker did not tell the party to quiet down. They finally quieted around 4am, but the dog started barking to go out around 6am. Next year we will just drive down for the day to avoid such a horrible sleep experience.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks on a business trip and overall is a standard hotel. One of the elevators was broken for all my three weeks stay. Restaurant is pretty good except on Saturdays and Sunday’s if breakfast is included on your room rate. In this case the breakfast buffet is very low quality and your breakfast tickets are only good for buffet. Gym is very good. Room is ok but not very clean. I had to ask housekeeping to vacuum underneath the bed headboard, I was suffering allergies every night, and when they moved the bed for vacuuming it was full of dust and all kind of disgusting stuff.

Disappointing. Elevators didnt work. Loud noise in bathroom-pipes on other floors? Minimal furniture in rooms. Horrible service in bar– totally disinterested. At check in was asked when i was checking out– never had that happen.

Overall the hotel was very good, except… When we first checked into the room the toilet did not flush. We called the front desk and they sent someone up to the room within a few minutes with a plunger. Everything seemed fine until the morning when the toilet was still having issues flushing. Fortunately we had another room nearby with a relative that we could use when we needed to do our business. The other issue with the hotel is the noise outside which a couple other reviewers mentioned. The hotel must be very close to the fire station because multiple times during the night we were woken up by sirens and horns beeping. If it was not for the 2 issues above the hotel would have easily been a 5 star rating from me. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I have to give them credit that they did send someone up quickly to do their best to fix the toilet and I am sure if I called again they would have sent the poor guy with the plunger up to the room. As for the noise my wife sleeps like a hibernating bear that sounds like a dying giraffe with her snoring. If anything the fire trucks helped drown the sound emulating from her. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable which is what I feel the most important. My wife also is a compulsive gambler and there is a casino a few miles away and there are lots of UBER drivers in the area.

We were on a road trip, and stopped in Christiana because we were so tired. We couldn’t find a hotel and were getting scared that we’d have to stay in something bad. Luckily, we found this hotel online, and they had vacancies, surprisingly! One reviewer(I can’t remember if it was Unilocal or Tripadvisor) called it a «roach motel» and said they found a cockroach in their room. Well, the bug in their picture looked like a beetle, first off, and I have never seen a more incorrect review! This place was great. It was super clean and new, and the friendly man behind the counter said not many people stopped by because it was so new and had yet to make a mark. I really hope that one bad review isn’t driving the potential customers away from here, because we found nothing wrong at the Four Points, and we’re pretty picky with hotels! Super comfy beds, nice rooms, overall just a good place. We felt very well rested the next morning.
