General Information
We are a multi-cultural, multi generation congregation that is learning to follow Jesus. No experience required.
Our Worship
We offer two distinct worship services.
Traditional Service 9am — At this service we usually worship with a choir and more traditional songs and hymns. Childcare is available for children ages birth through 4 year olds in our nursery, which also has a changing facilities for your convenience. Children’s church is offered for K — 6th grade students which are dismissed during the service.
Contemporary Service 10:30am — At this service we usually worship with a praise band and more contemporary songs. Childcare is available for children ages birth through 3 year olds in our nursery which also has a changing facilities for your convenience. Sunday Preschool is offered for 3 – 5 year olds and Children’s church is offered for K — 6th grade students, they will be dismissed during the service.
History
Established in 1894.
First Presbyterian Church of Newark has been a part of the community for over 100 years, demonstrating the Lord’s word to the people of the Tri-City area of Fremont, Newark and Union City, California. Organized on July 23, 1894, the «Church on the Corner» continues to serve the community as a place of worship and fellowship in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.”
