I don’t care too much about tapioca pearls, but if I’m ever craving pearls with my drinks, Fantasia is a wonderful place to get them! They’re made to perfection. Drinks I frequent are their signature black milk tea(sometimes with grass jelly), green milk tea, lychee milk tea, and red bean milk tea. My favorite is their green milk tea, it’s probably the one I get the most. I also like how their drinks aren’t too sweet either, because I don’t have much of a sweet tooth to begin with. Employees are quite friendly for all the times I’ve come. They get the drinks out in a timely manner. Not as quick as the Milpitas location, but their quality is just about the same. This location isn’t at all busy as the ones in the South Bay, which is nice. They have a good amount of tables and supposedly free wifi so it would be a nice place to study if I’m ever in the Newark area.

I used to always come here weekly and get milk tea or peach passion with no milk. The flavor used to be super strong and the pearls were super sweet too. However, some days it’ll be watery and flavorless. I mean come on. I’m paying $ 4 for water?

Been here a couple times and I haven’t ever been failed. The drinks are consistent and they’re fast with making the drinks. It’s also a spacious place to sit around and hangout. The only downside bout this is that it’s located kind of inside a market. It’s like a big building but sectioned out and all in the same building. Although being located near a market isn’t necessarily that big of a deal, but there isn’t much stores you can go around afterwards. If this location was on the other side of the street(aka New Park Mall) I think business would be much better for them. Cause think about it, if you’re like me and really wanted a milk tea, that’ll only be your excuse to come here. Or else you wouldn’t think of coming here and having to go in just to buy a drink then drive out. It’s a bit of a hassle. I think the only problem is the location other than that, the drinks are good. Basic Fantasia menu and styled drinks.

Damn, your balls are pretty on point. I’m not going to lie, but this Fantasia knows how to make their boba. I’ve been here a few times already and so far their boba is never too hard nor too soft. It’s just right. Bit on the chewy and sweet side :) I’ve tried a few of their drinks like Jasmine Green Tea, Green Milk Tea, and their Black Milk Tea. The Jasmine Green Tea is good in my opinion because it was really refreshing. As for the GMT and the BMT, it’s usually a hit or miss. At times it could be a bit on their sweet side and you can’t taste much of their tea and other times it’s pretty good. The downside of this place is that they sometimes add too much ice :(Ask for less ice if you can and it can definitely make a difference! Free Wi-Fi, service is quick, and workers are friendly! Located in the Lion Market plaza near Newark Memorial HS and New Park Mall, this Fantasia location is a hit or miss but their balls seem to be good everytime! I’m interested in trying their other drinks as well! :) Overall, 3.5 stars!

It says they close at 9pm, got here at 8:50 and they’re closed. The workers are still inside and can see people trying to get in because there’s still TEN minutes left but they just pretend they don’t see us. Terrible service.

Good milk tea but it is getting pricey in this place. Go the next place, the Vietnamese place, and their milk teas are affordable and yummy! I go there at least 3 times a week!

Fantasia has got me hooked on Lychee Frost! Some days I just get a big craving for that refreshing sweet drink! I have not tried their other drinks yet, but I’m pretty they’re good too, but I just love the Lychee Frost so much that I don’t have the desire to try other drinks. Cash only.

I think is the same chain place as my usual one in Milpitas but we were in the area and stopped in for our boba fix. I got the au yu passion fruit tea. I think they make it slightly different than the other location. This one was not as sweet and the au yu tasted different here. I was not super impressed. It’s kinda, almost connected to the Lion supermarket.

Not as good as they used to be. Used to be my favorite spot for milktea. Seems like their MT has more milk now and the pearls aren’t as soft as it used to be. I used to go there often enough to get a free drink before my stamp card expires. Customer service went downhill ever since they had this guy who never greets or smiles. He throws your change on the counter and have you pick it up. I am sorry, no one forced you to work at places like this so if you don’t like it then go be a janitor or something so you don’t have to look at people.

Thank you, Labor Day workers for working on your day off? Either way, came here after Tea Station at the corner was too packed and didn’t care about their dine-in customers(aka me and two others), and it was definitely more pricey than Fantasia! This Fantasia is located inside Lion Market, right at the entrance. It wasn’t too busy, but there was one child here that kept crying nonstop for a good 5 minutes and nothing was done about it. Hopefully you don’t meet this child. We ordered: –1 regular milk tea with pearls($ 2.75?!) //Strong tea flavor! UM. Classic. Not too much ice to cap over the taste of the flavors. Boba is great! Soft, chewy and not too sweet. –1 regular jasmine green milk tea with pearls($ 2.75! Optional with our without milk) //A bit too milky(even when I asked for less milk. thanks for more milk?). Thoroughly impressed with their pearls! –1 regular peach oolong tea with pearls Pros: –Quick service! Assuming we were the only people in line, turnover is quick since the teas are already brewed. –Great boba! Wow! Compared to the other Fantasias, this is definitely a lot better! –Great selection! In addition to the classics at every Fantasia, they also have a bunch of different seasonal specials written on a chalk board. Cons: –Meh service. Lady wasn’t too nice. But I guess who would be nice, when it’s a national holiday? Tips/Observations: –They have stamp cards here! But you will have to ask first. –Tax free! Cash only! –Parking is spacious! Overall, I would come here again! Definitely impressed, and luckily my drinks were not too sweet. Slowly changing my perception on Fantasia here…

Similar to other Fantasias in terms of drinks. I got the strawberry milk green tea boba and it was refreshing and delicious. The green tea flavor is strong and the drinks aren’t too sweet which I appreciate! Bobas are perfectly cook. There were no lines. The place is pretty quiet and clean. Study here if you’d like!

I’m used to going to their Milpitas location, so I always forget about this one. I’m happy to say that the service and quality are just as good here as at the Milpitas store! Fantasia is located within an Asian shopping/food plaza, right next to Lion Market. The last time I went, a friendly lady(who turned out to be the manager, I believe) was handing out stamp cards right outside Lions. Lucky for both of us, I was headed in anyway. I usually stick to green milk tea at Fantasia, but I got the almond milk tea that day and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of powdery taste that almond-flavored teas so often have. At half sugar, it was just right for me. I came back a few days later for a guava green milk tea, and once again, it proved to be perfect(at half sugar). Fantasia is one of the only places other than Ten Ren where I’ll get fruit-flavored milk teas, because they maintain a strong green milk tea taste instead of being masked by syrupy fruit flavoring. It’s also one of the few places I get pearls, as their pearls are perfectly chewy, firm, and lightly sweetened. Overall, a solid and consistent tea shop that’s growing to become one of my regulars. Teas are affordable at around $ 3 each. Just remember that it’s cash only!

Definitely one of my favorites, ever. I love Fantasia! This one is located conveniently next to Lions Supermarket in Newark. This branch is slightly bigger than the others and it has more tables around. Also, this branch usually isn’t very crowded at all. I usually just get the Thai Tea with no boba. I don’t know why, but I just really like it. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. I know Thai Tea is probably the easiest thing to make because I see them just pouring it out from a pitcher. But for some reason, my favorite Thai Tea will always be from Fantasia. They are very fast and efficient when it comes to your order. You basically order and by the time you’re done paying, your drink is ready! Like what?! So quick! Overall, Fantasia is a great boba place to go to in the area. It’s kind of like the OG of all boba shops(other than like TapEx and Quickly’s). OH, it’s cash only, too!

They deserve 0ZERO stars. Unfresh, gross tasting, and over-priced for the poor horrible quality drinks offers. We ordered Iced Mocha and Green Tea Boba + Green Mango. Both were horrible and simply have to be thrown away after only a few sip. The Mocha tasted stale and with some weird after taste, probably from very un-fresh ingredients. I wonder if they use expired materials??? The green mango boba green tea also have a weird after taste that I’d best describe as «public bathroom refreshener.» Maybe it’s the artificial syrup they used? We are totally grossed out and are very unhappy customers. We figure it’s not worth the drive back to complain this to the store manger and try to get refunds. But we sure want to share this horrible experience with our fellow Unilocaler and warn everyone to stay away from this establishment.

Came by for a Milk Tea with Pearls the other day and it was quick and easy. There was no line mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Cash only. Milk Tea with Pearls is $ 2.75 including tax. Quality of milk tea is very good. Drinks are not too sweet at 1⁄3 the sweetness. Get a stamp card to Buy 10 get 1 free!(Can be used at other Fantasias but cards cannot be combined.)

I don’t know why I’ve been so resistant to Fantasia until recently… for some reason I always thought they were overpriced. Boy, was I wrong! I love that their price includes boba. Nobody does that anymore… they all try to gouge more and more money out of you! Also, their boba is as close to perfect as you can get, and it’s always consistently good! Another pro… they are FAST. I know their menu is kinda limited, but they have all the basics and they don’t take forever(*ahem* Tea Station, I’m looking at you). I’m usually in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. It’s not like they give you watered down crap either. The tea isn’t super strong, but you can still taste it. Service is super friendly, and did I mention fast? Time is money, people! It’s safe to say that I’ll be back at least a few times a week unless they do something to change my mind.

The perfection of the boba here bumps my rating up to a 4 stars. The boba was perfectly chewy, with just a hint of sweet. While I don’t usually get pearls(I prefer my milk tea without), my brother loves them. I tried some of his, and both of us thought these were really good. As for the tea, I like the tea at Fantasia generally. My main gripe is that they don’t really have too much variety in what you can get. But what they lack in variety, they make up for in quality. The teas are usually strong and the flavors are pleasant. Also, the cups are a little smaller than at most boba places, so while the price is cheap, the drink is smaller. Ironically, my favorite drink at Fantasia isn’t a tea. It’s actually the mango slush. Mmmmm it’s full of creamy mango goodness :)

Better than just ok. Ill admit I dont drink tapioca drinks that often and have been to a handful of spots only. But I always end up coming here. It Is affordable without feeling like I paid near $ 5 for just a drink like tea station or whatever in the same plaza. What I have ordered: –mango slush/smoothie(?): they use real mango unlike tap express where my husband ordered it before. It has nice smooth and fruity flavor. Ready nice and refreshing. –almond milk tea: cold is what I prefer. Standard like other places and I almost always order it –taro milk tea: what a surprise. They use real taro. It was different fr what im used to. .yea I always had powder taro before. It was slightly powder like because taro is full of starch like a potato so it has that consistency. But thin enough and lightly sweetened. I ended up liking it. But not a fave. They have run out of tapioca a few times whoch is a downfall and one time I was so upset bc my fat ass was craving it. Otherwise the boba is perfectly chewy and never seemingly overcooked or mushy or stuck together.

I’m not usually a fan of boba as most of my friends would know. I just think I had too much of it when I was growing up so it got kinda bland and boring to me. Well, today I decided to give it a try at Fantasia. I ordered the milk tea with boba and wow was the boba good! All the other boba I’ve had previously was a little dense in the center and chewy on the outside but the boba at Fantasia was chewy all the way to the center! I may have just fallen back in love with boba again, which will make me acceptable to my group of friends again(haha jk, they don’t really mind). I would come back again solely for their boba :)

I have lots of memories with this place. First Fantasia store is in Milpitas and by that time when milk tea was becoming a fashion drink, my sister and I have to drive there to grab a drink for our craving ;) We were so happy when this one was opened close to where we live. Taste wise, I think the same, nothing can go wrong with green milk tea ;) I like that the stamp you can use at any other Fantasia store, doesn’t need to be at one specific one, isn’t that cool ?? I took off one start cuz sometimes they run out of stuff that I want ;)
