There are no redeeming qualities about this place. We drove up to place our order — a large iced coffee and an egg and cheese on a paper plate as opposed to a bagel or roll. The woman taking our order told us they could not make that for us, even after we mentioned that other DD locations do. We decided to just order the coffee. We drove to pay for our drink and pick it up and it looked absolutely disgusting — very watery and definable not something I wanted to drink. We informed the workers that we’d like to return the coffee and get our money back, politely explaining that it looked like it had not been made correctly. One worker was very rude and offended, saying there couldn’t possibly be anything wrong with our coffee because they prepare and serve«thousands of cups a day.» We persisted and did receive our money back. Terrible experience from start to finish. The drive-through is convenient but I’d suggest patronizing other local DD establishments instead.

This Dunkin’ Donuts has one of the most unusual drive-through ordering setups you’re ever likely to see. Located in the Ivy Plaza shopping center, this Dunkin’ Donuts requires motorists to drive past the western end of the building, to the far outer fence, to access the outdoor menu and intercom, which seems to work just fine as long as your muffler isn’t too loud and your car stereo isn’t blasting. Employees taking your order certainly appreciate decisiveness, even if they don’t always show it, I’ll bet. And while there isn’t enough face time to establish rapport with your friendly neighborhood barista — because after ordering, you basically have to make a 30-foot U-turn back to the western end of the Ivy Plaza main building — the food and drinks come quickly enough for your to make tracks to your next destination, getting you promptly caffeinated, fed and happy.
