I made my first visit recently and had a couple of salteñas with chicken. They were delicious. With the lack of places that sell salteñas in the NY/NJ area, I’ll definitely be back for some more. The owners were very nice and told me they have serve other Bolivian foods each Sunday so I’ll need to try it out.

Excellent food. We’ve tried salteñas, api, sopa de maní. We also had coca tea. Highly recommended. An institution in the neighborhood. Family owned, Luis and Carola are great hosts and are very friendly!

I was in the mood for Bolivian food and unfortunately my options in New York City aren’t the greatest so I set my sights on NJ. Amazingly I found a small deli/café that specializes in Bolivian food in the ironbound in Newark.

Excellent homemade Bolivian food. Sundays are especially great. Owners prepare traditional plates.

So I found this place on a total whim from a Bolivian site. I’m originally from California and I’ve missed Bolivian food from my mom. My boyfriend and I decided to make the the trip over here to have some authentic Bolivian food. We were not disappointed. The food is super flavorful and freshly made. The restaurant staff is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this cute place for an authentic food experience!
