All I gotta say is GOD DAMN. Marc at the front desk gave me the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Honestly I was there for my hoe operation and all my bitches needed a place to sleep and make me money. Marc caught on and told me to leave the hotel and cussed my ass out but he convinced me that all my pimpin ain’t worth it. I thank god everyday for Marc now I’m clean running a legit business and all these hoes still suckin my dick

The hotel was okay but the customer service was phenomenal! A gentlemen named Marc made our stay great. I told him I was going to «ground and pound» all night and he gave me a room that was not going to inconvenience anyone else. We did not receive any complaints. Marc told us if we needed anything to add him on «KIK». Best customer service ever.

Don’t ever come to this place ! The customer service totally sucks and the front dest keeps saying“I don’t care” «I don’t give a shit» and «get your shit out of here» stuff like these including so many F words to us when there’s an argument. I asked for manager’s number and he refused to give us and trying to kick us out. This is totally not right. We are seeking of comfort and nice service here I guess that’s why they call it «comfort inn». Instead we are being treated like fool and being treated so rude. Just don’t ever come here

NEVER STAY HERE!!! The front desk is so rude. There is a guy in the front desk who’s name is Marc, he even said F words to us! And when we asked the number of the manger from him, he just said get out the hotel! We didn’t even know why is that! Guys JUST DONT STAY HERE!!!

Work trip for 1 week, rooms were very clean with large tv and decent wifi. Could use a little updating and you can get a little outside noise from upstairs. Staff was friendly and answered anytime you call.

Nice staff but terrible rooms. No outlets anywhere near the bed that were useable, dark, dingy and bad smell. Stains in the shower, but may have also been a lack of cleaning. Toilet was falling apart and ran. Pretty much awful all around.

Of course, it’s an inn, but the breakfast. they have Styrofoam plates for crying out loud! And the selection is disgusting. The stay itself was alright, but definitely not worth the money.

Room is nice, but the front desk is rude. I called the day before to check if there were rooms would be ready for an early check in and they said it would be fine, but when I got there nothing was ready supposedly til 3pm. I had a feeling because I was on a discount that she was treating me differently. So I left for an hour, came back, and she gave me a room, walked the stairs to the 3^rd floor and maid came running to let me know room wasn’t clean and had let front desk know this, so she ran to the front and took care of it. I liked the maid for fixing this and rushing to get me my key for a room that was ready. The rooms are gorgeous, very nice, but the front desk could use a little customer service training.

We were in town for 2 nights for Graduation and picked this hotel simply because it was close to everywhere we needed to be and the price was in our budget. But were not happy with our stay. The hotel itself is beat up, doors dinged, carpet seriously worn out, refrigerator barely cold, only 1 ice machine in the entire place, no snack vending machine (despite it being listed in the notebook in the room), elevator stinks and was slow, staff seemed put out when we checked in like ‘oh no, not another guest…’, not enough outlets, and the free breakfast was just ‘eh’. We returned from dinner our first night to find 2 cop cars sitting out front of the hotel which made us nervous as well. We will not be staying here again.

I pretty much stay in nothing but Comfort inn’s in California Arizona Nevada in New Mexico they’re cheap and always available this has always been my go to hotel in Newark. As always cheaper than everywhere else easily accessible to different restaurants around the area but here’s the rub.
The tour buses!!! They have several tour buses come in each night the tour buses are full of international tourist who are on a different time schedule and come from different cultures about appropriate levels to talk to each other. They are up running around the hotel when you are trying to sleep. This week was the worse I would recommend this to anybody on a budget or looking for a hotel room at the last minute just to know you were going to put up with a noisy hotel and no sleep until 1am.

Shout out to Ashely ! Great costumer service! I don’t know why it’s reviews are so low. I love this hotel very clean big parking lot. The only things didn’t like is that they only have one elevator and it takes a while but other than that it was great. Thank you for the great time. Good was delicious!

Beds are sooooo comfy, as well as the pillows!

Great location (malls and shopping centers within walking distance), very good breakfast (and it’s complimentary!), super clean room, beautiful lobby/​entrance area (marble columns, vaulted ceiling that is multiple stories high). And the staff is really friendly, especially the general manager Gary, who went out of his way to help us get the room we wanted. Incredible service from Gary, he left a deep impression on us. We will definitely stay here again! The rates are low, and you get much more than what you pay for. Perfect for the business traveler on a budget, especially if you don’t have a car because there’s so much in walking distance.

Good price, great location next to 880, lots of places to eat within walking distance. Kinda crappy internet, the breakfast leaves a little to be desired. Good rooms, at least the one I had. Funky carpet in the hallways. Lobby is nice. Friendly people and they give out a little choice rewards goodie bag when you check in.

We stayed here for a week while looking for a more permanent place to stay between when we first moved to the Bay Area. This was at a time when Hotwire still had incredibly low rates (possibly because people weren’t traveling as much around then) for hotels in suburbia.
It was about 2 months after we got married, and we didn’t have much time to actually secure a place before we got here, since my husband was hired a few days prior to his actual start date of 10/​26/​2009.
The hotel itself is in dire need of some renovation, but aside from feeling like we were back in the 80s with the colors, furniture, and CRT TVs, we were grateful to have had a comfortable bed (as opposed to a friend’s couch) and a decent supply of milk and basic breakfast items from the complimentary daily breakfast.
I’ve seen a few other Comfort Inns, and this is easily the most outdated of them.

Of all the comfort inns I’ve stayed in this one ranks at the low end of my scale. Kinda old and in need of refurb. Old tvs. Old furniture etc. Beds are ok. Better to stay at one of the newer hotels in this area right off 880 at mowry. There are many choices and all would be better than this place. If they ever do the badly needed remodel here I would be happy to update and upgrade my review.

Before this place turned into a Comfort Inn, it used to be a Holiday Inn Express and from the looks of it, I can understand why the Holiday Inn chain decided to pull it’s flag.
The hotel has seen it’s better days, inside and out. We arrived in the evening and the entire parking lot was dark and felt unsafe like my car could easily get broken into. Not sure if their lighting was not working, so I’m hoping it was just that one fluke.
The lobby is far from appealing and the furnishings were quite dated. Upon walking through the hallway to get to the room, it felt creepy as if some drug deal was going on behind one of the guestroom doors. Okay, maybe that’s too dramatic but, I didn’t like seeing that trash can in the hallway to catch the water from a leaking ceiling.
The room looked clean, but didn’t feel clean. There were huge stains on the desk chair and the large corner chair. The stains were so bad, you’d want a towel on it before sitting on it, much less, just to look at. I was just so grossed out I didn’t sit on either. The carpets didn’t feel clean either so I never walked on it with bare feet. The bed and linen were decent though. Definitely not a fan of the huge tube TV.
The bathroom for the most part was clean. There however was mildew on the caulking around the vanity and near the tub.
Now why on earth would I stay at this hotel? My parents were in town and their organization was hosting their event here as well so I paid them a visit since it’s not too far away, not to mention I don’t seem them often enough as I should.
Speaking of the event, they had a meeting room that was roughly 1,600sf if I had to guess. They were having an evening dinner and I have no clue why the room was setup classroom style with rows of tables instead of rounds. Maybe it was to maximize the attendance but it was tight. The meeting room was in bad shape and I’d seriously not consider this hotel for your business presentation meeting to potential clients, that’s for sure.
Overall, I’d never stay at this hotel again, there are a few better choices in the surrounding area. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Cheap hotel with no frills and confused staff.
I had friends from out of town stay here, they would probably spend the extra $ 30 not to stay here again.
Problems with the hotel:
— Pool in perpetual maintenance mode
— Rooms near maid service rooms start rumbling at 5AM
— Staff are pretty clueless when it comes to recommending anything nearby or transit options. I phoned to ask what shuttle services they recommend from the airport and could hear the crickets chirping in the background as the bb’s rolled around in the boxcar.
That said, staff are nice enough and have no attitude when you can find one. The area is safe enough.- didn’t see any homeless as other callers noted.
As others have noted, the hotel is dingy but clean. Not a place to impress anyone, but if you’re on a budget it’s a step up from Motel 6. Ample parking.

I just checked into the hotel a short while ago. Basically, the hotel looks a little bit tired, but the room is okay for the price. With a AAA 10% discount, the room came out to a little bit over $ 80.00 per night (weeknight).
I called around to the Hilton, and they wanted $ 143.00 per night, so you do basically get what you pay for. The front desk personnel seemed friendly enough, and the room appears to to clean. There is no mini refrigerator or microwave, and their television is not a flat screen TV. Again, those are the things that you get at a cheaper hotel.
My only complaint for the hotel is that the hallways and lobby areas are kind of a bit depressing. They could use a facelift. As for the internet connection, I’m using it right now, and it seems to be working just fine.
For those of you who are not from the area, this hotel is not located in a ghetto. The hotel is bordering a decent middle class neighborhood, and this hotel shares a parking lot with a Indian and Seafood Restaurant. Across the street is an Newpark Mall and a Asian shopping center.
I haven’t stayed overnight yet, so I cannot give the place a thumbs up yet. Right now I’d have to rate the place about a 2.5 to 3 stars. If I don’t write anything further on this place, that means that it was okay.
The evening is not over, and I’ve come up against some minor but irritating issues. Both phones in my room do not call down to the front desk. The front desk buttons do not work. I’m sure the front desk personnel are not sad about this one. Anyhow, I had to run down twice just to ask them questions. Also, the internet conection is on the slow side. In addition to this, the TV in the room is terrible. The screen is on the dark side, and there is no way to adjust the brightness.
Update 12÷06÷11: I stayed at this hotel last night. All the regular rooms were sold out, so I booked a suite. The internet connection here is very bad on the fourth floor. If you are a business person who needs a good internet connection, I would strongly advise you to consider staying at another hotel.

This hotel is old. In fact, you can see wear marks where the Roman chariots tied up to.
I stayed here while on business nearby. I used Hot*wire to get the room, so I got what they wanted to give me. Oh well. The price was right.
This one is set on the northwest side of Hwy 101, tucked away behind an Indian restaurant and near a nearby neighborhood. Across Mowry and nearby is a small mall (Sears, Target, TJMaxx, McDonalds, Starbucks, etc) so its not in a bad area. But would be better off if it were on the same side as all these stores.
Here’s my rundown on this sleepover:
1. Friendly staff. Very nice, in fact. Thank you.
2. Quick check-​in.
3. Free Internet and pretty fast. And secure.
4. Bed was rated 7 out of 10.
5. Yes! Fluffy towels! That makes a huge difference!
6. Coffee pot was clean. So was rest of room.
7. Quickly took care of nearby noisy kids.
8. Larger than normal room.
CONS:
1. Surroundings are a bit dingy and run down.
2. Vagrants nearby. Homeless hiding out near parking lot.
3. Grounds need a real CLEAN UP! Trash everywhere! Geez… clean up the trash, for Gads sake! And broken glass in parking lot tells me my vehicle might not be safe.
4. Needs better parking lot lighting.
5. Elevator is as slow as a lunar eclipse.
6. Pool out of order. Yeah, right. It had water. That means it works.
7. Whole building needs a power wash.
8. Glad I had my handgun on the nightstand.
SUMMARY:
For the money, I was satisfied. But this is not a honeymoon spot. I would NOT have had my family with me. Park your car and hope its not broken into and get some sleep. And bring your Glock.
Did I mention the girls at the front desk were very nice?
