Circus Vargas

If possible, I think this year even topped last year’s performance, and that was amazing! There is something for everyone, the performers are amazing athletes and so multi-​talented. If you think that you’re too old to go to the circus, or that you would not find it something you’d enjoy, you are wrong, and if you don’t avail yourself of this great show, you have missed what I guarantee would be a memorable event in which you will delight!

It was totally worth it! Since I have been a kid i have been to a circus only in the last two years since my son has been old enough. Circus Vargas is so much better than the ones I have been to in the last two years.
We parked right outside the entrance. The circus is located between Macy’s & Burlingtons Coat Factory. We reached there well ahead of time and got great seats.
They have a kids participation in the beginning which my son absolutely loved. He was also picked up later during the show to volunteer and he had a blast. The show has some amazing acts for adults too.
Overall, a great performance.

I’ve been a fan of Circus Vargas for years. I try to catch them whenever they’re in town, and I’ve never once been disappointed. The performers are phenomenally talented and the staff is friendly and personable; best of all, there isn’t a single clown in sight.
If you’re skeptical (or think you’re spoiled by other big-​name venues like Cirque du Soleil), like I was at first, go see it. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised :)
Really, I can’t speak highly enough of them, and you should go see them — now! Go go go go go!

The children got the opportunity to play with the hula hoops, scarves, & a stick with a peacock feather on it on stage. Beware of being volunteers on this show!
It was an entertaining show. Alex was quite hilarious as a joker. The MC from New York did a fabulous job with balancing different items on his nose & chin. The weight of the long table, moving cart, & ladder ceased to amaze me. The other acts reminded me of the Cirque shows. At least, they have magical acts in this show, & it’s the theme as well.
You can purchase a cheaper ticket online through Goldstar. The line is shorter at the will call booth.
I was fortunate to park at the entrance. The circus is located at the other side of Macy’s building.
Overall, my hubby & I really enjoyed the performance. Beware of bug bites from the seats! Poor hubby got bitten all over his bottom half. I got bitten on the left ankle area.

Went to see Circus Vargas on opening night at Newpark Mall parking lot outside between Macy’s & Burlingtons Coat Factory on Thursday, Aug 7, 2014.
Go early to the box office like 1hr before showtime to pay & get tickets. If you show up later you’ll have to wait in a huge line & get crappy seats.
VIP seats $ 55 – 65
Ringside Reserved $ 45 – 55
Arena $ 30 – 40
Bleachers $ 20 – 30
Bleacher seaters is not assigned seating, it’s first come, first serve. Bring something to sit on like blankets or seat cushions because it’s metal bleacher seats that is hard to sit on for the 2hr show.
Show is suppose to start at 7:30pm, but they started at like 8pm. There is a 15-​min intermission after the first hr.
NO Animals in this Show. Clown is like a Pee-​Wee Herman named Alex.
Started out with a guy that sang a Mexican song & Frank Sinatra’s «My Way» in English. Some acrobats & Alex pulled guys in the audience to do some silly stuff like boxing match & something else. Guy balanced stuff in his mouth or nose, some magic tricks. Second act more of the same kinds of stuff.
Kinda meh show, I think some kids enjoyed it though.
Bathrooms — pit toilets & hand washing stations outside the main seating area, but still in the tented area in back.
Eat & drink before going or sneak in food & drink.
