Slow service, mediocre food I try not to eat in the B concourse but sometimes, a flight delay may force you to have a meal. So I did and I sat amongst dirty tables, tired travelers and really angry looking servers. Come on. we are miseable already, please liven up the place and hire some folks that want the job. All the servers here look like they doing you a big favor. What is with the attitude? Come take a look at the restaurants in ATL. The servers there are making $$$$$ from all the business travelers. You have the same trapped clientele base too. Just be nicer, have some empathy, look somebody in the eye while you are talking. that’s it. some kindness here will pay big $$$$. So much potential.

Ordering a breakfast sandwich you normally think this is a safe bet; nobody can mess up a breakfast sandwich. Oh my was I wrong. Also, I have never seen slower service from being greeted to taking the order to getting refills to paying your check. They literally had one server in the entire place. Another problem that I have is they give you a menu that has breakfast and lunch on it however, you can only order breakfast? Spend some money and get a breakfast menu printed off. Pure lazy. My bacon egg and cheese bagel was so dry and when I say that I mean the eggs, the bacon was burnt to a crisp and the bagel was hard and dry. I am not sure how you achieve all dry ingredients but, I am impressed, bravo! Also, I am pretty sure those home fries came pre-cut and frozen. When I asked if I could get some chicken fingers he said that they couldn’t offer fried items at that time but, came back and said that they would make them. That was the highlight of this venture. The chicken fingers were edible and they do have decent blue cheese dressing. Also, I really wish they wouldn’t have had on real wives of whatever, yuck and annoying at 7:00 a.m. At least they didn’t charge me for the breakfast bagel.

We came for breakfast, and I have to say, it was pretty damn good. The place was empty, so the service was good. Also, the portions were huge and the eggs and peppers in my breakfast burrito were absolutely fresh and cooked on site. The salsa left something to be desired, though, that was clearly mass-produced generic crap. Still, while I can’t speak for the main day foods, you really can’t ask for more for a sit-down breakfast at an airport restaurant.

This place is embarrassing, even for airport food. 6 empty tables around me and the server forgot to bring out my food. 30 minutes later I asked for it. The boneless buffalo wings came out room temperature on a hot plate. The place wasn’t busy. The port authority which oversees the airport doesn’t care about the quality of food served here. Other airports across the country are much better. The only plus is that I had a power outlet

There is nothing spectacular about this place. I had a flight delay and was super hungry in the morning and noticed them advertising a breakfast sandwich. I decided to order just 1 sandwich but man did it take quite some time for me to get this 1 little sandwich. Thank God I had a long delay because the wait for the this little sandwich was about 15 minutes. When I did get the sandwich it was good, not sure if it was the hunger talking or if the sandwich was really that good. Either way I ate it all up. It was typical airport food, expensive and regular.

Everything I needed. My flight was delayed 2 hours and I just needed a place to hang out that had alcohol. Champps was the only option past security for my gate, but that was just fine cuz they were very accommodating and I had a great time. Their kitchen closed at 7 p.m. on a Tuesday night, but luckily I got in before that. Wine was $ 10 a glass for a hefty pour and my cobb salad was like $ 12 with a large portion. The staff was very attentive and also very entertaining! They made my delay a joy.

Stay away, unless you have extra 30 minutes to wait for a freaking burger. Not sure if food is any good here, my boarding is about to start so I don’t have any more time.

I travel weekly for work and have now eaten here twice, but never again. Three weeks ago the salad was wilted and just gross, I sent it back and ate the snacks in the Sky Club. Today I kept it simple a hamburger and ice tea. The most bitter tea on the planet, I they must never clean the container or try it themselves, I changed it for bottled water. The burger was on a very stale bun and cold when I got it. I always give a place two chances before I write a bad review. This place may be OK as a bar but stay away from any food.

My boyfriend and I came in Thursday morning. There was only one guy was working for numerous tables both in the restaurant and bar. To his credit, he was literally running everywhere, but in his haste he didn’t put our order in. He didn’t realize he didn’t put our order in for over twenty minutes but at that point, it was too late. He gave us some excuses about not hearing us, but clearly the issue is over the lack of help. The plastic booth seats were also in very bad shape and needed to be replaced. We were very disappointed.

I’d be embarrassed to serve this food. Chips were stale. School cafeteria style chicken tenders. The servers were friendly. That’s the best thing I can say. Pass.

After an amazing trip, we were hungry and looking for a cocktail or beer. We found it at Champps. We looked at menu and couldn’t decide between a burger or chicken alfredo, we went with the pasta and omg I am glad that we did. This pasta was cheesy goodness! I couldn’t wait to take a bite, but of course I took a pic first. This pasta was cheesy and rich in flavor and it was so visually and tastefully satisfying. Paired with an Octoberfest beer and it’s even better. Order the pasta people!

The food was just so-so, but the service was extremely slow. I had to aggressively flag down my waiter to get my check done in time to board my plane. I feel bad for him because it was just him working the entire place, but that’s just a sign of a poorly managed restaurant.

For airport food it was fine. I had onion rings and chicken tenders. The onion rings were a four. The tenders were a two. Hence the three.

This was your typical airport food — the 3 Ms: microwaved, mediocre, and meh. I had the spinach dip, which had a sprinkling of cheddar cheese and served with staked tortilla chips. Larry had chicken fingers with onion rings which were adequate. I had a LI Iced tea which was better than I expected but definitely not rave worthy. The food took longer than expected to arrive because it was not busy. I blame the kitchen. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. The person who’s tested us, however, was not as friendly. In sum, a good place to grab a drink before your flight but not eat.

Food was not very good. Had the fish and chips. But the worst part is the service. Slow slow slow from order to paying for it. All the girls seemed unhappy to even work there. Manager might take note and raise employee satisfaction. I will not return.

I wanted to go to a place where I can sit to have a meal before getting on a plane so I picked this one. The food was so SALTY. I thought I was going to have a heart attack!

Worst experience in a long time. I was seated immediately. Then it took almost 10 minutes just for a server to take my order, even though I put down my menu immediately. I ordered the Americana salad. After waiting for another 10 – 15 min, the hostess came and asked what my order was. When it finally came, there was barely any lettuce and the lettuce that was there was pale and wilted. I sent the salad back, then waited another 10 – 15 minutes before finally walking out. Other people seemed to be getting the same level of poor service. I saw the hostess ask someone else who had been waiting almost as long as me what his order was. Avoid this place at all costs!

I know where Calvin from the movie Waiting now works. First the airport is from the 60’s and there are not many restaurants to chose from. You can’t go to other terminals from B unless you go out and go back through security. So this was the only sit down restaurant in terminal B. Nobody was in the restaurant and we asked for a table for 4 but we were told by Calvin its for 4 people. These are tables for 2 that you move to make a table for 4 so we sat at a table with a bench where we could put out stuff on so it wouldn’t sit on the floor. Service was just as bad and dirty silverware(see picture). We asked for unsweetened tea and asked for sweetener. We had to ask for it again as he forgot. Ordered onion soup for an appetizer and got it with my meal. The reason for the 3 stars is that our food wasn’t bad. Just check the silverware when you eat there.

Thankfully — while still not up to snuff with other airports — there are a couple more options in Newark, the pits when it comes to airports(at least the Delta Terminal). At least now you can get a meh glass of wine with bar food in a semi sports bar type atmosphere without breaking the bank(relative for airport bars). The nice thing is there are a number of strategically place power outlets, a necessity for travel, and the wait staff was friendly. Plus — we saw a famous sports figure there!

This is a nice sized sports bar located in Terminal B at Newark Airport. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices are what you would expect in an airport but the quality is there. With the grey brick and the fireplace it has the feel of a small ski lodge. They have several Tv’s and a full bar which I can’t vouch for since I do most of my traveling in the wee hours. My two favorites are the Fresco Chicken Tacos and BBQ pulled pork sandwich. The tacos are grilled chicken, salsa verde, pepper jack cheese with warm black bean and corn salsa. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is smoked pulled pork, southwestern BBQ sauce and Tabasco fried onion strings, it is served with house-made chips and coleslaw. It is a nice relaxing place to enjoy a drink and a meal if you have some time while waiting for your flight. FYI look for the picture of Ted Williams out front. Enjoy your flight.
