I like that you have different rooms for dogs with different energy levels. Love the video monitors on the phone app. Your hours are great since I work at 7 am and sometimes don’t get out until late. I like that you checked with my vet about my dog’s vaccinations so I didn’t have to bring paperwork with me.

Easy & quick drop-​off/​pick-​up, never a wait. Friendly, accomodating & helpful customer service. Our yellow lab has come home with a few scratches though which is probably expected when she’s around other large dogs all day. Because of it we decided to not take her as often but only before/​during travel.

Where do I begin?
I exchanged quite a few emails with Laurie the owner to set up my intake for my dog as well as schedule a full grooming. Two days prior to my scheduled appointment date, I called to confirm what time I should come in with my dog. The young lady who answered the phone told me that I was scheduled for 6:30 AM and commented that it was an early appointment but it wasn’t unusual for them to schedule intake appointments at that time. We confirmed everything and I thought we were good to go.
On the day of said appointment, I arrived at the scheduled time and waited… and waited… aaaaaand waited. I saw the staff through the glass doors feeding the dogs and cleaning the area so I didn’t think anything of it. After waiting for about 15 minutes I decided to call the front desk and maybe someone would come to the front. After about 6 rings, a very frazzled woman comes to the front. Without greeting me she stated in a very annoyed voice «We don’t open until 7:30».
I blinked slowly and said «I am aware of that but I was told…»
She interrupts me and barks at me «I have 100 dogs to feed and we open at 7:30»
At that point I calmly tighten my hold on my dog’s leash and I said «I am aware of that but I was told to come in at this time to do an intake for my dog»
She shook her head and said «I don’t have time… I have 100 dogs to feed»
I said «OK. That’s fine» and I start to walk out.
I guess she saw the error in her abrupt manner and she tried to get me to come back asking if I wanted to reschedule and wanted to clarify why I was there at that time. It was too late and I had experienced all I wanted to experience from this establishment
I told her no and calmly walked out.
My dog was agitated from the moment he walked through the door and I should have taken that as a cue to leave, but this woman’s attitude and rudeness sealed the deal. I would NEVER advise anyone to take their dogs here. Rude, unprofessional, and apparently no clue about scheduled appointments. If you are frazzled when you are feeding dogs (regardless of how many you have to feed) at 6:30 AM, then I am sure you won’t keep a cool head when you have over 100 active dogs in your facility running around and basically being dogs.
It was very disappointing and I was actually looking forward to my dog having a place to play.
Maybe a course on customer service and stress management would do the staff a lot of good.
P. S. I noticed that they yelled at the dogs quite a bit as well. Definitely a big no no in my book.

Very happy with Camp Bow Wow! It was kind of nerve-​wracking leaving my extremely anxious mutt here for a full day, but he came home pretty chipper and DEFINITELY tired, which is great in my book. They run specials for new customers and throughout the month if you sign up for their enewsletters. The staff is always super friendly and seem to know most of the dogs by name.
The best part about Camp Bow Wow, though, is the Camper Cams where you can watch your dog throughout the day. I can pull it up on either my computer or my cell phone, the pages refresh very quickly, and the quality is pretty darn good. Every time I’ve pulled up the camera to check on my dog, there he is, prancing about. It does feel a little ‘Big Brother’-ish but hey, if I’m going to pay $ 25+ to take my dog to daycare, it’s very reassuring to see that he’s getting the exercise and the attention he needs. I would recommend CBW to anyone with a bored pup at home!

I had a good feeling about Camp Bow Wow the second I walked in. I loved that you can leave your dog free all day for a trial visit. When you return you get a folder with a report card, a sheet with your dogs pertinents & photo, coupons, & pricing info.
When I picked Chloe up the first time from day care she looked really happy & well taken care of which was a huge weight lifted off this working pet mom! In her report card it was noted she made buds w Lou Lou and Frankie which I thought was adorable! In subsequent visits Chloe always seems happy to go in and amazingly the employees know her by name.
I’ve taken Chloe twice for full grooming taking advantage of the included free day care as well. I’m very specific about keeping Chloe’s Yorkie ear fur short & they do a really nice job. They actually give you a detailed grooming sheet where you indicate down to the inch what you want cut off and done. I wish my hairdresser did this haha!
I’ve used overnight camp for one weekend and I was also very pleased w/​this service and the later Sunday hours for pick up. One of the care-​takers also informed me Chloe didn’t eat much. It was nice to get that info so I can plan to bring wet food & more treat options on her next visit.
One thing I didn’t like was on my 4^th day care visit I picked Chloe up and they gave me back day treats I’d brought for her. The woman told me they don’t give/​allow treats which was different to my prior experiences. I assumed Chloe would get a mid noon nap and treat but apparently this has to be laid out and requested.
I would also say Camp Bow Wow is on the pricey side with 10 min of play/​cuddle time costing $ 10 on top of the base camp experience.
Overall though my experiences have been good. I’ve had no flea issues. Chloe seems happy & worn out after a day at camp. I adore the fact that I can peek in on her via the web cam app while I’m at work!

Great place! I have boarded my pup here twice. The first time, I got a flat on the turnpike and was 45 minutes late… they stayed open for me and I couldn’t be more grateful. It saved me a four hour drive the next day. Thanks again!

One of the only real downsides to living in a city is not having a backyard for an overly rambunctious 4 year old beagle to run around. Though my apartment is within walking distance of the dog park, sometimes those little afternoon visits don’t cut it and when you see rain in the forecast and a busy weekend of activities ahead, it isn’t fair to leave poor doggy inside bored and lonely. Enter Camp Bow Wow.
For years, my little dog man has gone to the Camp Bow Wow in Cherry Hill, NJ because of it’s convenient (ish) location from Philadelphia and the fact that I can load up on cheap gas and do my Wegmans shopping all in one trip; but a booked solid weekend at their location had me scrambling to find another option and a quick search on the site said that Newark, DE would be my next closest option. Initially I wasn’t keen on the idea of having to travel close to 40 miles to drop the dog off for an overnight, but quick math told me that because this would be a tax free night away with no tolls plus a $ 2 off Unilocal!check-​in, I’d actually be saving myself a little money. A few overnights after his first visit, I can safely say that this Camp Bow Wow is just as great as the others that Harvey frequents. Just like all the others I can check in on him on my cell phone using the CBW webcam app, I know he’s taken care of (Carly is super nice!), he gets to expend tons and tons of energy and he gets some quality socialization in.
It makes me feel like a responsible dog mom when I can take Harvey to camp for the night and bring him home so happy and well rested and never hesitate in telling everyone else about them because I’m that confident in their services. First time visit for a social interview is free, so what do you have to lose?

The staff is great, really friendly and really make you feel comfortable leaving ur dog with them. I’ve had no problems what so ever with this place. My pup Shadow (chihuahua/​pug mix) loves this place, he kills so much energy that when I bring him home all he does is sleep. Which is great because he is cooped up at home most days while I’m at work. So bringing him to camp bow wow is heaven for him.
BTW I’ve had no flea problems and I love that they enforce the vaccines to be current.
Sadly I’m moving to Caliornia so shadow will no longer be able to enjoy doggy daycare :(but I strongly recommend this place if you live in the area.

I wanted to update this review, because every single concern I had was addressed. The monster rottweiler that attacked my dog was asked to leave. Also they are now being referred to as the vaccination nazis by other patrons. Which in my book is a good thing. If you can afford to pay $ 25 for your dog to play at Camp Bowwow then you need to get your vaccinations on time so you don’t infect the other dogs. The flea thing I fear is just a mid atlantic problem. I am giving my boy a capstar before every visit to mitigate whatever he picks up from the other dogs. I fully endorse Camp Bowwow and would recommend them to anyone.

I will not be back. Dropped dogs off at 8 am for grooming. Called at 315 and they weren’t even touched. Told they could of had them done by 6. So what did you do for the 7 hours prior. The last time I picked my puppy up from grooming he reaked of urine.

Wolfgang loves this place! We do too! It is reasonably priced and I love the cameras so you can check in on your pup while you are away. Oh and he is super tired when he gets home! It’s the best!

Our little shepherd mix rescue, Tarot, luuuuuuvs Camp Bow Wow! From what we are told she brings the fun.
Being our first non-​afghan hound, we had some reservations about potential temperament issues, so we decided that Camp Bow Wow would be an ideal environment for socialization. Tarot also has an abundance of energy, so Camp Bow Wow is ideal for burning off that herding dog energy!
She is an extremely friendly and well socialized nearly 1 year old puppy now and we are grateful for the care and attention she has received while attending Camp Bow Wow, in addition to the cleanliness. Cleanliness and vaccine requirements were critical to us, with an older dog at home, with a weaker immune system. While we use holistic veterinary services, in this situation, it was important to know that Tarot would not be bringing anything contagious home to our other dog.
The customer service has been awesome. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but not in an «all knowing» way.
The only drawback for us is the price. Due to a transitional financial situation, we aren’t able to bring Tarot nearly as often as she would like to go.
