AMC IMAX 12 – Newpark Mall

So excited to have an AMC in town. HUGE place!
The seats are AMAZING!!! Warm and cozy to watch a movie! Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of high school kids working there. I love that! Give them opportunities!!!

Leather recliners for seats, nice big screens, bar to buy a beer… But unless it’s an IMAX movie that we would normally have to drive from Newark to Dublin. We will continue to go to Fremont or union city cinemark… Super disappointed! Our family sees atleast one movie a week. And we’ve been so excited for our new theatre. The food setup is a joke, the popcorn is small, you have to butter yourself which means only top layer gets butter, no one knows where you are supposed to order what from that works there, you can’t get your own popcorn you have to order at separate counter… It’s a inconvenient joke, and lousy food. I don’t care how comfy your seats are, went into theatre excited, into the movie irritated, and won’t be back unless we are here to see IMAX

First 10 minutes of movie the lights were on… I had to get up from movie and go get someone the ½ mile back up front to ask to get the lights turned off so everyone in theatre could enjoy the movie. Among listening to half the people in theatre not have 3D glasses. Since you get your ticket from a machine not a person you don’t get handed your glasses, we have our own glasses. But felt bad for others …

Great movie theater! If you look on the left or right side of your seat there are buttons and they recline your chair! It is very big and modern.

The theater is beautiful but the service is terrible. Cold chili cheese nachos and a rude manager to start the night. When asked why the cheese is not melted and the chips look extremely dry the manager just states «that’s how they come». I had to buy separate cheese! The manager said «we have to pay for them too.» He didn’t pay attention in his customer service class clearly. I’ve eaten nachos before and that was not $ 8 worth.
Take caution when refilling your drinks. They don’t put signs on the machines when they are cleaning them. Soda sprayed all over me when I went to get more. All I got was a «I’m sorry we took off the nozzles to clean them.» Ok now what about this soda on shirt?
It’s a nice place, but the poor service will make me drive to another theater.

New Favorite Movie Theaters in the bay area!
Pros: Reclining seats. Great for couples! Very spacious so your not getting kicked from behind. And a beer bar!
Cons: The layout can be kind of confusing. The soda machines didn’t really work for opening hours. They should have gotten it ready when it opened.
There are still renovations being done. But overall, I will only be watching movies here just for the seats and how spacious it is.

Didn’t have a good trip to the new AMC THEIR SODA MACHINE WAS BROKEN AND SPRAYED ALL OVER MY SHIRT 2 out of 5 soda machine were working. THEN THE CHAIRS DIDN’T RECLINE NOT TO IMPRESSED and when I told the lady she said Awwwwww. Awwwe??? Is that even a real response LOL. And there’s no place to chill and wait for your movie to start I think I’ll continue to go to the Emeryville location or Pacific Commons for now. The food set up is a little confusing.

Great new theater. Leather reclining chairs sold me. Oh did i mention a full bar. Doesn’t get better.

Brand new, lots of gadgets and new theatre smell. Love the variety of food options. Movie theatres have amazing comfortable couch chair that also recline. Real 3-​D worked great. New favorite theatre to watch movies at.

Love the seats, wide isles and the bar. I have never been more relaxed at a theater. It is a new theater so give them time to get things together. Can’t wait to be in their prime theater.

Love everything about this new theater! Reclining chairs, XXLarge rows! We came all the way from San Jose and are not disappointed!

It’s called a soft opening for a reason… They have some serious kinks but give it a few weeks, it should be running more smoothly… Friday first show was only $ 6.30…GREAT DEAL… They have many food options but I have to say their layout is a tad weird but then again it must work this way because they wouldn’t have it set up this way if it didn’t…You can start buying alcohol on February 1^st which I think is awesome… Having the leather recliners is awesome and the theater is very nice… I look forward to seeing more movies here in the future

Just opened. AMC is a great theater chain.
Comfy seats. Bar for beer. Love to butter my own popcorn, so I get all I want. P. S., put a straw in the popcorn and you can get butter all throughout.
Service is good, of course they have kinks to work out, like I said, they just opened. Nothing goes perfect from day 1. Bare with them, they will get it together.
