I had a horrible experience with this company. I have a crawl space that I refuse to go into because I’m claustrophobic. Once a year for 20 years, I had my handyman go into the crawl space and check for water damage. In 20 years, he always reported back to me that my crawl space was dry. My handyman passed away a few months ago, so I called Adam Basement. When Steve B. from this company came out to check the space, he came out of it stating that I had a lot of water and mold damage to the tune of $ 6,800 to repair. Knowing this can’t be true, I got a second opinion from another company called Graydon Hurst. Junior from Graydon Hurst told me that the only water he saw was a nominal amount from a tiny drop from a PVC pipe and that all I needed was a plumber for less than $ 200 to repair it. Needless to say, Adam Basement took advantage of the fact that I wouldn’t go into my crawl space and that they could, therefore, invent any scenario they wanted. Beware of Adam Basement !!!

I heard about this company because they were advertising on the radio. I scheduled a free estimate/inspection and I received a phone call that day saying they were double booked and had to reschedule. They asked if I could email photos in the meantime and they would send an estimate over email based on my problem. They never got back to me with an estimate via email and never showed up on our rescheduled appointment the following week. This company really shouldn’t be on the radio if they do not have the resources to handle the new customers that advertising generates.

Steve B. came out and inspected my basement and showed me in detailed photos exactly what was happening in my cinder block walls and floor. He explained the whole thing in a way i could understand. At no time did i feel like he was selling me anything but more like I was sitting in his class. I signed up and a few weeks later his crew showed up. I watched no less than 13 men operating 3 jack hammers and the rest running slabs of concrete to two circulating dump trucks. They were scheduled to do just my basement but once the floor was removed it became obvious that my attached garage needed a drain as well. Without hesitation Steve put his guys to work on a whole new project and brought in even more guys. It honestly resembled a ballet. The cost went up, but that my houses fault, the fact that i did not hear some story about needing to come back in a month to finish and he got on it right then and there speaks volumes. The most amazing thing about the whole experience is the fact that they were in and out in three days! Incredible, and not one drop of water since. I have recommended Adam Basement to a number of my friends with similar problems.
