The most unprofessional, worst experience I have ever had with a medical doctor. After scheduling a physical, I arrived for my appointment and argued with the nurse/receptionist because she claimed that my insurance did not cover a physical(which it did, and she found out once she checked with my carrier) I waited over 2.5 hours. I would have left but I was leaving town and didn’t have time to schedule another physical. After meeting with the doctor she insisted that it would never happen again, she understood that my time was limited and that I could call for the results of my bloodwork. After calling for over a week, she finally took my call, was extremely rude, telling me she didn’t have time for me and I needed to schedule an appt, she even hung up on me mid sentence. I cannot believe it, I have never had an experience like this. I would not return to her office if it was the last on the upper west side. Dont waste your time or energy on this sub par unprofessional doctor.

Horrible is an understatement. I was referred to Dr. Zaman by my aunt and cousin over 2 – 3 years ago. At first I was in and out, she was open late and excepted walk-ins(the ideal doctor). Now you can expect a wait time of 1 – 2 hours, no organization, and rude staff with unnecessary attitudes as if you are at fault for them having to work. If you say you are in pain, you get a prescription for Percocet. The machinery is completely old and out dated. The doctor is always yelling for her staff over you speaking. I have seen a patient just wonder to the back and walk in on someone changing, I had some random male doctor in the room with me, she did not introduce him but he was asking me stupid questions when I simply there because I had a cold. I have since then moved to Dr. Tulpan on 40 Park Avenue. I think Dr. Zaman is very nice but her office is unpleasant to say the least.

I’ve seen Dr. Zaman several times because her office is so close to my apartment and she takes my insurance, but her entire office is a disaster. Old, outdated equipment, unprofessional staff, unfriendly service. Dr. Zaman herself is sweet, but after several visits I have little faith in her medical care, though she’s great if you wish to be prescribed the strongest antibiotics on the market, no questions asked. I went in w/a routine UTI and she wanted me to take 10 days of Cipro(3 days is the standard treatment for uncomplicated cases, as mine was). I regretted saying yes when she asked if I wanted a physical when I saw her ancient X-ray machine — 1970s? Since I had a cough(was recovering from a cold), she made me do a full battery of asthma testing that I assume was all about racking up tests she could get reimbursed for. And she absolutely will not phone or fax in a prescription refill for you even if you’re trapped on Mars for the week. It’s all about your coming in, waiting for a very long time in her waiting room(blaring television game shows), and plunking down a co-pay. Then you’ll get your prescription refill. Feel better now? She’ll see you without an appointment, but be prepared to wait three hours(no joke). I’ve finally had enough, time to look for another doctor.
