Yaf Sparkle

I love Yaf and I love this store. Her merchandise is beautiful and the service is superb. She has a nice variety of jewelry and gift items. I shopped in her store and purchased several pieces. I then called her when I returned back to Ohio to order a few additional Cors candles. I received them the next day. I will definitely return to this store when I am back in NYC.

I am in love with this store and the power couple that owes it! I have Yaf Sparkles designs as well as Monika Knutsoon, pieces from Pound jewelry and recently a Lauren HarknexLux, knuckle ring. If you are ever in the neighborhood, I definitely stopping in!

What a great boutique! Their jewelry is unique, beautiful and creative — fits all different styles. The products are of great quality and they offer a huge variety — and are reasonably priced. The people that work there are so incredibly kind, helpful and stylish! I highly recommend:)

Very patient. Very nice. Very flexible with exchanges. My wife is very tough to buy for but loves the stuff in this shop. More importantly, other women have complimented her On the jewelry I purchased for her from y&s. Most necklaces cost in $ 200 — $ 300 range.
An added bonus: Yaf and Kat are super sweet and will gladly help you make a selection.

TL;DR: I wanted a unique sterling ring, but paid the price of a gold one and received an unidentified, unstamped amalgam that’s turning my hand the color of swamp muck.
If I’d rated Yaf Sparkle when I first walked out their door, I would have given the shop 5 stars. The pieces are lovely and unique, & the woman who helped me was wonderfully sweet. Plus, since gold isn’t really my thing, for a $ 50 «custom fee,» they were willing to pull the stones from a gold ring I liked & put them into an otherwise-​identical sterling setting (of the correct size) instead.
Back home, as I waited for the new setting to come in, it hit me that if a ring is $ 300 in gold, it shouldn’t be $ 350 in sterling. Charge me the customization fee, sure, but charge it on top of an appropriate base price. Gold is 6−8x more expensive than silver (by the gram), which means that even if you’re comparing 10k gold to sterling silver (0.925), the gold should be at least twice as much. The price for my ring didn’t add up.
I felt a lot more «3 stars» about Yaf Sparkle then, but I’d already paid…& the woman I’d worked with was so nice…& I really was looking forward to wearing my ring once it came in. Ok, fine: I decided to consider the inflated price a donation to a small business paying LES-​level rent, or something like that.
I picked up my ring the next week, & at first it seemed to be what I’d expected: two beautiful dark geode halves in a sterling setting, resized to my hand. After a few hours, however, I realized the alignment of the stones was off. They hadn’t resized the ring, as promised; they’d just manually squeezed the two stone-​ends closer together, which made the ring tighter at the expense of the original design.
What finally got me to write a review, however, was this: Two days ago, I moved the ring to a different finger while I was knitting. The fit on that finger was a bit tighter, & when I went to move the ring back to where I usually wear it, I found a dark green line in my skin under the band. I was horrified, & got out my magnifying glass to confirm my suspicion.
Sure enough: there’s no stamp anywhere on the inside of that ring. I’ve no idea what silver-​colored stuff it’s made of, but it isn’t sterling silver; I don’t even know if it’s worth getting the piece appraised. (I’ve worn sterling rings & pendants daily since junior high school; the only one that ever turned my skin green was one that I wore the (surprise!) plating off of within 6 weeks of buying it from a street vendor.)
In short: I wanted a unique sterling ring, but I paid for a gold one and received an unknown, unstamped amalgam that’s turning my hand the color of swamp muck. Yaf Sparkle has pretty things & friendly shop employees, but don’t buy anything there unless you’ve given it a very detailed inspection and/​or can drop hundreds of dollars (per piece) on novelty items. I’m sad that I won’t be going back.

I love this boutique. Got my third year anniversary’s leather cuff. It was a great experience! It’s my first time to buy leather goods in the US, market here is different from China. I did not buy anything first time here and then searched a lot and came back here to have the exquisite cuff. My wife also loves that. Besides the products, Yaf and her husband are also helpful. It was also fantastic to talk with them about their life experience. Anyone who wants to go there, please help me check out how’s it going with their baby’s French and Germany.

«YAF SPARKLE» is an amazing boutique men’s and women’s jewelry shop. I had the pleasure of meeting YAF herself who is also a designer. Besides her own brand which is quite exquisite, she also carries «Buddah To Buddah» «Johnny Farah» «Lyon Fine Jewelry» and «Monika Knutsson». They have rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants and cuff links. I had the pleasure of receiving the «Buddah To Buddah» «Ben Ring» and I love it!
Whether you are buying pieces for yourself or as gifts, they will be appreciated by all! Proceeds from purchases also help benefit a non-​profit (The ASA Foundation) YAF started to help children in Senegal West Africa with clothing and toys.
I wanted to keep this place a secret but the world must know about this special place and the wonderful things it is doing!

Such a lovely store. I stumbled upon Yaf Sparkle while strolling the LES 2 weekends ago and my eyes were instantly drawn to the beautiful Buddah 2 Buddah collection– particularly a delicate silver bracelet that stacked perfectly with my silver watch. The girl at the store was so super friendly and had fun showing me other gems, from HUGE cocktail rings to diamonds. Can I just mention that I also feel in love with a diamond ring? Platinum band and 3 pave diamonds on each side. Perfection. If only I had a reason for a diamond ring. :)
I’ll be in New York again soon and will return to spoil myself with something pretty.

One of my favorites shops on the LES! They have some amazing pieces that are one of a kind. The owners and people who work there are genuine and absolutely lovely. they make treating yourself so much fun.

What a beautiful collections of pieces. One thing I’ve noticed shopping for jewelery in NYC is that often stores are either high end snobby or low-​end bleh. This store is vibrant and friendly and offers collections from true artisans. It’s a treasure. The service makes all the difference — you’ll leave feeling like a goddess (or king) and a little more, well… Sparkly!

Love this place Yaf herself was there is was late on a Saturday evening they have a lot of super fun jewelery gold soft leather bags I got a leather bracelet and a leather belt.

Wonderful jewelry business on Orchard Street, owned by the loveliest couple. I’ve been collecting jewelry for many years, and when you get to meet the designer, and can also help support a creative local business, it makes the jewelry even more special. Can’t say enough great things about this place, it is absolutely charming, and I wanted to buy everything in there. The owners were so sweet and told me a lot about the jewelry and they spent a lot of time telling me about the various stones, I learned so much, and they didn’t mind answering my questions at all, they were so nice, and you could tell they love what they do. It really shows. Will definitely be back for more shopping soon!
