I’m surprised people still go here and actually buy coupons from groupon or living social! I’m ganna let y’all in on a little secret! My company usto do be the answering service for them!
1. They ALWAYS have the answering service on! no matter what time or date!
2. They will never call you back! we get plenty of mad and angry customers (rightfully so) because they would never ever call you back!
3. In all I believe this to be a scamming company that uses immigrants and work them to the bone. with little to no pay because they MAKE US tell you TO TIP!
(the workers don’t get paid the tip that they make is there money)

Traumatizing experience to say the least… DO NOT EVER GO HERE. I’ve gotten my eyelashes done more times than I can count and have never once had such a bad experience. When she was finished and told me to open my eyes– I COULDNT. She had glued my top lashes to my bottom lashes. I panicked and immediately started crying as it was painful (ruining the lashes). She glued my eyes shut! She had to individually undo each one from my lashes, as she did this the glue got more and more in my eyes, burning. It felt like I was being tortured. When she asked me to sit up saying she had finished, something large like a clump of glue was stuck in my eye I couldn’t get it out I was screaming and crying. And rather than helping me, she just told me the mirror was jn the hallway. It was AWFUL. To top everything off, I asked for a refund as I am literally sitting there sobbing with messed up blood shot eyes, and she said no but I owed $ 4 more for tax. I am in the process of speaking to her manager and getting this place closed down. Please, everyone, do NOT go here. It’s been 24 hours and my eyes are still burning.

I am addicted… to LASHES. I think I might have a problem… an intervention may be necessary. The lashes last as expected and I am getting to know the ladies who work here pretty well. I am a happy customer. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because it can be a little challenging to get an appointment — only because they are SO busy. It’s definitely worth the effort.

Horrible eyelash extension. Massy glue, and pained. I have to remove my eyelash extension right after I finished with them. SUCK.

Don’t waste your time here. Its impossible to get an appointment. You have to email them then go through a series of texts to get an appointment. DO NOT CALL THEM! Calling them and trying to get an appointment via a phone call is like talking to a wall.
There are plenty of places in Manhattan where you can actually call to get an appointment at comparable prices.

I purchased a $ 50 deal from Living Social for this spot. Booking an appointment was a pain. Why is there an answering service (with a rather rude woman) answering the phone if she is only going to take your info and tell you that someone will call you back. Well, no one actually calls you back. You get a text message. And when you realize the date and time you want is not available, you end up texting back and forth over several hours or days (because they do not respond immediately to your reply text) in order to book a date.
The two people at the spa were actually quite friendly and pleasant, but that’s where the pleasantries end. The room is tiny and has three tables which are sort of on top of each other. Even with my appointment, I still have to wait 15 minutes. No big deal. But, I had to squeeze around another customer having her lashes done on the table right by the entrance to the room, and that is certainly not fun or relaxing while your eyes are taped shut and you have no clue what’s going on.
The tech I got was very sweet, but she did a horrible job on my lashes. I would have said something when she was done, but she had glued my eyes shut and spent quite a bit of time getting them open, ripping my own lashes out in the process. By the time my eyes were free of the excess glue, they were so irritated and teary, I could barely see the type of job she did on my lashes. When I got home and took a nice long look in a mirror, I saw how botched everything was. The lashes were all crooked, glued into my skin, the middle of my own lashes, or on top of one another. It was a hot mess. There was so much clumped glue, it was painful just blinking because the lashes were tugging at my skin and my own lashes. I didn’t have to do much to remove them because overnight, they were all falling out on their own, taking my own wispy natural lashes with them.
I’m not new to lash extensions. I take my wink seriously. I’ve even had my eye glued shut by accident at another salon, but they handled it well without a whole lot of pain, and my lashes looked awesome at the end of it. Like I said, the tech was very nice, but not very good at it. While she was waiting for the glue remover to unlock my lids, she was texting right on top of me. Yeah, I can understand that it was late and it was probably just two or three important texts that had to get out, but I wasn’t late for the appointment and I wasn’t the one who botched the lash job, making the process stretch out even longer. It goes without saying that texting while you’re working on a client (or FIXING a mistake) isn’t acceptable.
I did leave them an unfavorable review when Living Social sent me the survey, and Xtensions did contact me to offer to fix my lashes for free. I have no desire to come back to this spa for anything. Most of the fake lashes have already come out on their own, taking my natural lashes with them. My eyes need time to recover. And I would not risk my eyesight for cheap extensions. The people are VERY nice, but the tech I got was not able to perform this service well at all, and their appointment system needs a lot of work.
Perhaps the other tech does a much better job with lashes. But, since I was unable to get anyone’s name, it would be hard for me to tell you avoid «this» lady and go to «this» one instead. All I will say is; go at your own risk.

This was an amazing experience. The lashes were great and the ppl were so friendly and accommodating!!! I will certainly go back and will recommend my friends. The service was excellent.

I have yet to actually go for any services, so this review is solely based on their appointment booking process. For eyelash extensions (not sure about their other services), you call and give a day/​date with someone at the «call center», then somebody will call you the following week with a time. My 2^nd attempt to book an appointment was 10 days prior to the day requested, never received a call until 1 pm day of, confirming my 4 pm appointment. I had completely even forgotten I tried to make an appointment until they called 3 hours before. Needless to say, I’m underwhelmed by this place.

I got my lashes done RIGHT before New Years this year. Booked an appointment a week in advance through text messages (haha! I thought this was pretty funny). I didn’t want to look super dramatic, but more natural so I opted for «Pretty Lashes» which was the least amount of lashes in 10 – 11 mm. The application process was quick (45 mins) and I dozed off cause it was so relaxing. The service was great and the person who did my lashes was SUPER nice. Why the 1 star? Although it did look great the first few days (THANK GOODNESS), the lashes were a real pain (LITERALLY)! My eyes would not stop watering and the lashes tugged at my eyes so much, I had to go to the pharmacy to get products to pull them off without ripping my natural lash. I couldn’t stand them on my eyes and could not wait to get them off! I am 100% certain lashes are NOT suppose to be painful, but these lashes were not only a pain when dry, but 10x worse in the shower.

My initial review was posted as I was walking out of the door… literally. Since my appointment at Xtensions I’ve since gone to another lash place to have my lashes fixed because the set was that awful. There were clumps of hard glue that pulled and pinched my lashes and lids that never gave up until I removed them. The set was also extremely uneven. so much so I had to add mascara daily. Which defeats the purpose.
My advice would be for the lash technician to practice more before opening an office space in nyc. Eyelash extensions when done right are suppose to be fun, self esteem boosting and PAINLESS. Your natural lashes should not be damaged afterwards. Thats totally achievable… Just not here.

This is my first experience trying false lashes and my first time posting a review because i am extremely unhappy with the results. First it was very difficult to book an appointment, trying to confirm open spots in my and the technicians schedule via text. I had used a Groupon for the Glamorous eyelash extensions, which the technician showed me the mink lashes that she was supposed to apply. Without the Groupon the service costs $ 159. I initially did not realize the she gave me the cheap hard acrylic lashes. The lashes were sparse and not applied with much skill. One week later they began to fall off., even though I have been cleaning them with the witch hazel that the technician told me to use. I’m hoping that the review will save people from wasting their money at this business.

They did a great job on my eyelashes, one of the best so far that I had done than the others. Highly recommend this place. Booking appointment is pretty easy I don’t know what the others are talking about because I called other eyelash extension salon they want to book me a month after but this one they gave me an appointment pretty fast.

I called several times to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone was very rude saying only what’s your name? I said I wanted to make an appointment politely, what do you mean by «what’s your name?» If you are a receptionist but not able to book any appointments, why don’t you just say you cannot take an appointment and someone will call you back, may I have your name and phone number? I was tired of calling and not able to make an appointment, so I sent an e-​mail. I got response quickly, and it worked better than hearing a rude person who only says what’s your name? I later found out this place is probably one person business. I assume when the lash technician is working on the lashes, no one else is able to take appointments.
As the another review says, the technician was very friendly. Unfortunately, the lashes she applied fell off quickest ever! As I was on the cab going home immediately after the service, I found at least 10 lashes fell off. I looked at the mirror and noticed the roots of most lashes were lifted. She did not glue properly on the roots so most of lashed were clinging on the end, which was so ugly! I On this night most of lashes fell off without touching or washing my face. I have been wearing lash extensions for years now, and I know how to take care of them. The lashes good technician applied lasts 3 weeks on me, and average ones last 2 weeks normally. I would ask to get it fixed if lashed fall off this quickly, but I did not want to go back because she is the only technician at this place and I didn’t think she could do better. Again, the technician was nice, but the service she provided was not satisfactory at all. I used a groupon voucher for this and had another retouch voucher which was only $ 20, but I asked groupon for refund. Even with the steal deal, I rather not to waste my time.

Bad customer service: I purchased a groupon deal for the semi permanent mascara and eyelash perm. I called to see if I could do both treatments in one visit. An operator picked up and said she would have someone from Xtensions call me back to answer my question. It was one simple question but I didn’t hear back until a few days later…
So I get the call, the lady said I could do both treatments in one visit and asked when I wanted to make an appointment. I gave her the date and time and she said she would call me back to confirm that that time was available. I didn’t get a call back until a week later (after the date I requested).
Fortunately for me, I didn’t wait for the call back and returned the groupon.

I love the fact that they cater to guys too! I had my eyebrows and eyelash tinted and it looks good and natural. I never thought I needed it but after seeing the results, it actually made a big difference! I love the personal and hands on service provided and I would definitely recommend everyone to come and try all the services offered. Conveniently located at the heart of Manhattan. 5 stars all the way!

Love! Love this place! Staff is so accomodating not only to me but also my man while waiting for me to get my thang done! They made sure he was wasnt bored as heck while waiting love the service they did on my brows and they even threw in a free hand parafin! Have been getting a lot of complements on my brows! Found the place not overly expensive but the place itself is very classy! I’m glad a found this place!!!
