Take away Asian restaurant where you can enjoy delicious custom-​made wok recipes for a very reasonable price. No matter what your lifestyle or special needs are, we have thousands of options for everyone. Vegan, vegetarian, meat lover or weight watcher? Yes, we’ve got you covered too!

All you have to do is follow our simple 3-​step menu where (1) you choose your base (different types of noodles, rice and vegetables); (2) pick your ingredients (vegetables such as broccoli, shiitake mushrooms or bok choy to name a few, and protein from tofu to beef, shrimps, chicken, etc.); and (3) choose your sauce from a wide selection of Asian sauces. This is what flexibility is about, right?

Once you pick your recipe, your dish will be stir-​fried in front of you in an open kitchen. Enjoy the flaming show! In less than 5 minutes from the moment you’ve placed your order you will have a delicious meal to enjoy in or take out. That’s quick, huh?

And last but not least, we cook with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, use very little oil and never use MSG. So besides fast, our food is really healthy.

That’s pretty much what Wok to Walk is about: simple, good and convenient food for everyone!

History

Established in 2004.

Ours is a story of travelling and exotic flavors. Some years ago, during an adventure trip around Thailand, we found our passion: street food. For weeks, we had the most delicious woks cooked in these rudimentary kitchens were you could feel the fire in your face.

The freshness, the show, the freedom and exotic flavors totally got us. It was so REAL.

Back in Amsterdam, we desperately sought something similar. We couldn’t find any quick, healthy, flexible and affordable meals around. So, in 2004, we opened our dream restaurant where we could have it all.

The rest of the story is as simple as our beginning: people loved it. Our concept was fresh and European customers’ need for freedom big, so we started spreading the word. 9 years and 50+ restaurants later, we’re still walking our way. And, of course, we keep travelling to Thailand, to stay in touch with our roots.

Had tried udon tofu bangkok at Union Square, so we went with their Bali with Egg Noodles here and didn’t hate it. Definitely as greasy as we remembered, though.

Not bad for fresh stirfry but be prepared to spend $ 10 – 12 for a noodle or rice box. Tried the rice noodle with chicken, bok choy, baby corn and Bangkok sauce… tasty with a little kick but not the best I’ve had. I would probably choose a Thai restaurant next time for my noodle fix.

I’ve been several times, but today wasn’t good. (1) asked the person taking order what she would recommend and she acted as if I asked her a difficult question (2) I order the egg noodles with chicken and broccoli with Shanghai sauce… the chicken was over cooked and this dish lacked flavor in general. Only thing good about these noodles was the broccoli. Have to find a new noodle spot.

Love the concept and watching them cook. Place is small so be prepared to take with you. Sllllowwwwww to get your food. I thought my dish was bland, I got Saigon sauce. I wish it had more flavor.

12:30 in the morning and they were open. Good stuff surprisingly for being like fast food. But they cook it up in a wok for you and everything. Coconut curry sauce is the best and all of they meats are good. There were a few of us so we could try a bunch of different things.

It’s my favorite non-​fast food, fast-​food place. I usually have the vegetarian bowl with chicken on top. I know something sounds strange about that, but I find the vegetable base more healthy than having one of their noodle options. Though nothing wrong with the variety of noodle options.
Though they are not global, I have enjoyed finding them also in London and Amsterdam (the later being their home and original locations.)

This place never fails. I always get good food… fast! I have never had a bad experience, and I always get something different! From so many options of noodles, protein, sauces, and toppings, your options are limitless. I have never had a problem with any of my orders nor service! Everyone has always been nice.

Often when you eat Asian food, there’s plenty of salt to go-​around and no exception here.
It’s a small, made-​to-​order place with a few tables but by in far people seem to takeout. They give you a few options to choose from with regard to type of noodles, protein (they also have a veggie option with no grains), and sauce. I had the veggie concoction (broccoli, some bok choy (not enough of it!), egg, bean sprouts, etc.) with Saigon sauce. You can also add stuff to the noodles for an extra charge. You get your food in a paper Chinese food container. If you brought it for takeout, you could just dump the food onto a plate to eat, but eating out of the container was a bit messy and you can’t really see – and appreciate – all of the various ingredients. The food came out pretty quickly and the prices are not bad — for a typical noodle dish, it’s around $ 8. Portions aren’t huge though.
Located on 8th Avenue near Port Authority, it’s a convenient place to stop for a quick bite, though it’s just fast-​food Asian food. 8th Ave has a lot of junk on it from Penn Station to Port Authority, so this is not a bad place. And some low-​salt options would be good!

It’s 1AM, you’re in NYC, you don’t know what to eat, Wok To Walk is right across the street. GO THERE! Build your own box of noodles with *whatever* you want and literally wok your person right out of there and eat it on the go, you’ll thank me later! FYI for all you tipsy tourists and New Yorkers… it hit’s the spot, and cheap too!

Gotta give it up to up to this place — it’s good!
I recently moved offices, but used to work right next door to this place. It took me a year before visiting it because there is always some sort of line. I ordered the jasmine rice with veggies, chicken and Saigon sauce. It was extremely rich and tasty. They claim to be «healthy» but I can’t believe that because it was so rich. They use quality ingredients so in that sense I guess it’s «healthy» but the calories can’t be too low. Anyway — it is worth a visit!

I love their noodles. Extra spicy is the way to go here and top it of with Jalapeño peppers yummy. I usually get the udon noodles with shrimp and their house special spicy sauce. If you go during lunch expect a line. They do put on a show while you wait.

Horrible just horrible, everything tasted burnt. I ordered the noodles with chicken teriyaki how on gods earth do you mess up a simple dish. At least I can say I gave you a try. Will I return, never! I recommend you pay attention to what your cooking.

Love me some Asian food and this is a quick grab and go place. Always walked past this place going to port authority and there was always a line, and finally got to check it out finally. The concept is pretty simple. You pick your kind of noodle, pick a meat/​topping and a sauce to make your own stir fry.
I got the rice noodle with chicken and Saigon sauce. I personally thought they put a little too much sauce and made it a little too salty, but other wise it was pretty good!
I love how they have all the best kinds of noodle from rice, egg, udon and also can pick rice. I also love how this place is super quick, you are in and out in mins!

2.5 stars, which I would round up to 3-​stars if either 1) the pricing was lower to match the quality of the product… or 2) the quality of said product matched the price point.
Cramped shop, though workable. Table and window counter seating. Outlets near some seats.
The Manager is a really friendly, customer-​centric dude.
Brilliant business model in having all the add-​ins listed at seemingly cheap prices… because you can easily get to a double-​digit bill without realizing it, simply by trying to create the hibachi-​style dish of your liking [read: pimp built-​in up-​sell!].
I ordered egg noodles w/​steak, pork, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, Bangkok coconut curry sauce, fried garlic. Add Thai iced tea. $ 17.96 total.
5 – 7 minutes to receive food. Full container, but I think only because I had so many add-​ins. Other containers I saw were at various levels of full.
Fried garlic was on top, not mixed in, and half of it fell all over the counter when I opened the container. This is also partly due to them using minced garlic, rather than sliced.
No discernible palate distinction between most of the ingredients, except the beef, because, while tender, it had a really odd texture, giving away its cheaper quality. However, good balance of noodles and add-​ins. Though it became too salty to finish by the time I was ¾ of the way done.
Thai iced tea was very pre-​made/​boxed in its flavor… not chilled enough to help balance the syrupy nature of the drink… and they don’t have ice…
Overall, if it were the only form of this cuisine in the area, and I had a super craving, I’d go back to make my way through various combinations to see if I could find a redeeming one. But this quality, at this price point, with this level of inconsistent portion sizing, in NYC, let alone in an area where I can easily walk within a 1 – 2 block/​avenue radius for similar cuisine at a lower price or MUCH higher quality level?
Methinks not.
This place would be a better match for a mall food court.

Really solid on-​the-​fly kind of food in what’s often considered a dining wasteland on the stretch of 8th Ave between Times Sq and Penn Station. Delicious made-​to-​order noodle dishes are all they do here. It’s hypnotic to watch the cook swiftly make his way through order after order in their massive wok pans.
Fair warning — it’s not actually as cheap here as the sign on the street would have you believe. It’s about $ 5 for just noodles along, and gets more pricey for anything else you add. Still worth it though, for the big portions. And the plain noodles alone can make a nice cheap snack when you’re in the right mood.

The Best build your self Mongolian Wok.
The service is always quick (given they cook right in front of you and after you choose your options). The servers are always friendly.
I would particularly like to take a min to APPRECIATE the parcel handout guy at the mid-​town location (3rd and 39th), here’s someone who loves his job and puts a smile on your face make you feel good about your lunch time.
My Fav combination is: Rice Noodles, Steak, Shrimp, Bok Choy, Bangkok and Hot Asian Sauce topped with fried onions and fried garlic.
The quantity is a largely sufficient and they do not skimp on meats.
