Delish ! The ambiance, vibe, aura, the people, and music selection is on point. Super hip and young peeps working the business. The food is amazing I had the oyster happy hour til 6pm on Saturday and will definitely be coming back. New chef and room décor definitely makes the spot even more amazing ! Definitely coming back

Seems like a pretty solid seafood place. Came here with my boyfriend and we first split 8 oysters, 4 from the east side and 4 from the west side. We don’t know anything about specific types of oysters so our waiter helped us out and recommended a bunch for us. Oysters were very good, would love to come back for more!
For the entrees, I had the trout and BF had the clam chowder. Clam chowder was very light and not chunky at all. I like chunkier clam chowder but just depends on your preference. Also had bacon in it which gave it a great flavor. The trout was also pretty good but there was a lot of butter on it, it kind of made the veggies and bottom of the fish a bit soggy. The fish portion was great though, it was huge.
If I went again I would definitely get more oysters and maybe try a fresh catch of the day as they had a few options for that as well.

This cozy (yes, as in small and close proximity tables) restaurant, not far from Grand Central, was worth the 45 minute walk from 52^nd street, after our Jersey Boys Matinée! The server was delightful, the food was absolutely fresh and delicious, the price couldn’t be beaten. We went specifically for oyster happy hour! 2 doz. Blue Pointes, 1 doz. Cherry Stone clams, tuna tartare, and 2 wines for a total under $ 100!!! WILL ABSOLUTELY BE RETURNING IN THE NEAR FUTURE! Can’t wait to try their full entrees… they looked and smelled like heaven.

I took my mother here since she’s never experienced the magical $ 1 raw oyster deals for Happy Hour, and this is also conveniently located by her workplace.
I heard this place was also part seafood market, so I was excited to see some fresh seafood, but there wasn’t too much to see. We came here primarily for the oysters, but of course, we couldn’t leave without trying some of their seafood, and especially since they sell it, it couldn’t possibly disappoint.
We had 2 orders of half-​dozen Blue Point oysters each. The first batch was of small oysters and didn’t taste really fresh. The second batch of oysters were much bigger and juicier, and a lot tastier. I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and although those 2 are among my most favorite things in the world, it did not deliver. The mac & cheese was overbaked and dry and there was only a fair amount of lobster meat towards the top. I was pretty disappointed with the small-​sized portion for the price. My mother got a Lobster Roll and was also really disappointed with the small size for its price – a small side would’ve been nice.
This place emits a nice, relaxed atmosphere with a good Happy Hour deal after work. Main dish-​wise, I wouldn’t come back for that.

So after a long day of travel we were STARVING! We Unilocaled this restaurant and let me just say, it did not disappoint. We almost passed over it due to the curb appeal, but looks can be deceiving. We explained the caloric deficit we were in and that we didn’t want to splurge on sub– delicious food for our first NYC stop. The chef, Dustin, kept his promise of great food and more. Devin «just the waiter» was the best waiter thus far– patient and knowledgeable. We started with the clam chowder– so plentiful and savory with the nice bite of salty pancetta, the lobster pasta loaded with lumps of lobster– no stingy bingy portions and fresh black pasta. Brussels very flavorful. The fish n chips were awesome, light flaky and well seasoned. Nothing short of genius in the lab– i.e. Kitchen.

Small seafood-​focused restaurant with a good oyster selection. When I went I was delighted to see they had «Steamboat» oysters (aka Olympia oysters) which I don’t see a lot, in addition to 6 or 7 other types, both East and West coast. They were delicious.
I also had the fish and chips, which came out crispy and hot, just the way I like it. Servers were friendly.

Stopped by for a late lunch around 2:30pm. It was not busy inside but the staff was very welcoming so I didn’t feel cold or neglected. Ordered blue point oysters which were one of the freshest ones I’ve ever had, they were also very meaty and not sandy at all. For my meal I got the Lobster roll topped with pickles and lettuce, which is nice to balance out the mayo. The bun was the best part, crunchy and a bit sweet. Will definitely be returning, especially for their oysters!

Seafood is fresh, and a menu that straddles the simple yet creative staples.
Ate there last week, ordered the fried oyster sandwich– great crispy fried oysters with BBQ sauce and slaw. Great dish, well executed, enjoyed it fully. For my entrée had the fish and chips, which came with 5 – 6 meaty pieces of very crunchy tempura fish. Delicious.
Tonight I was craving it again, so ordered on postmates, but was disappointed with the inconsistency. Got three measly pieces of fish, and a pile of fries. Half of the fish that was served in the restaurant. It was still crispy, but I ended up eating too many fries– because there was not enough fish! Wild edibles needs to make sure they are consistent for take out and eat-​in portions!
Not sure id order in or take out from them again, but would eat in the restaurant.

My boyfriend’s father was in town and we were scrambling around trying to make some last minute dinner plans. We were in a seafood mood and had initially wanted to go to Crave Fishbar, but when we realized getting a reservation that late was impossible, we decided to make our evening a bit more relaxed and head to Wild Edibles. The three of us met there and it was relatively empty, but by the time we left it was POPPIN. Every seat was taken by some very… «interesting» individuals. I couldn’t count the amount of flannel and man-​buns using BOTH hands.
The service was a bit bumpy, either being way too aggressive and pushy OR being completely aloof and difficult to get a hold of. Had to call out for wine refills repeatedly. Also, as I was sitting right near the kitchen I got a pretty good view of what was going on inside. Whoever was plating was ALSO eating. Without gloves. I saw one too many fingers going into his mouth to be completely happy with the hygiene practices going on.
My boyfriend got the monkfish and his father and I got the squid ink pasta. We also got an order of the fries to share. The pasta was good, cooked to a nice al dente, but I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce. Overtly salty, buttery, and citrusy. I’m accustomed to black pasta in a tomato base, so this came as a bit of a surprise. The scallops were cooked beautifully, although I did find the mussels pretty pitiful. I go to Flex Mussels often and mussel-​wise they blew Wild Edibles out of the water. The fries were perfect however, a nice crunch with great seasoning.
Our night out was a good one, but I don’t think I’d be going back to Wild Edibles. Service was iffy and once the restaurant got crowded it got WAY too loud. I was hearing conversations three tables over. If you went early enough maybe it’d be good for a date? But once it’s 8 – 9 PM you won’t be able to hear one another without shouting.

Overall 3.5. Coming into this place was a tight squeeze! The place is pretty small and the seats are close to each other. Tables weren’t ready even though the place wasn’t packed yet.
Even so, the food was fresh and delicious. The oysters were of good size and brine-​iness. The lobster mac and cheese was delectable and the lobster roll was definitely yum.
The down fall? Pricey with small portions. My boyfriend and I were disappointed by how tiny the lobster roll was. Maybe smaller than his hands… And his hands aren’t even that big. They also didn’t come with fries… Just the lobster roll alone for 22 $. We did order a side of fries which were pretty good.
PS my boyfriend also found lobster shells in his roll.

I had a great meal here!
The only problem is that their seafood is so fresh… That they run out of it! Keeping a constant supply of fresh fish is hard, I get that. But I came for lobster and they ran out of all lobster that night. Oh well.
I had the whole branzini. My fiancé had something from the specials board which was amazing. Both dishes were superb, perfectly cooked. But the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that they ran out of the one thing I came for.

Had dinner at this seafood restaurant on a weekday night because it’s near the AMC movie theatre:
The first thing I noticed was the tables were very small. I actually couldn’t get into my seat by the wall and the waiter had to pull the chair and table out (and do the same when we left).guess I wasn’t going to the bathroom! Started with 2 oysters which were actually pretty good. I’m not that into oysters (yet) but these tasted very fresh. My friend had some fish and I had a lobster roll. The rolls was warm and this style of lobster roll had cold fillings. The lobster roll came with fries so I had these first. By the time I got to the roll, the wet fillings had made my roll soggy and it broke almost in half! I ended up eating the fillings with a fork and the bread later. The inside was okay and the bread was still amazing but it’s not the ideal way to enjoy a lobster roll.

I’ve ordered fish and chips from here years ago and it was to go, I enjoyed it but there’s no parking around here so it’s hard to be regular. I went back for the second time with a Groupon, and for the first time has the whole experience. This place has a fish market inside but doesn’t smell like fish at all! It’s a small place, you can see right into the kitchen. The food was absolutely amazing! And so was the service, it’s casual kind of the local bar/​food vibe but the quality of the food and it’s presentation is amazing, the chef back there knows his craft. Yes! I will definitely dine here again, we sat at the window bar and loved every part of the experience and literally had no complaints. If you love fresh tasty seafood, go!

Came here a few days ago and it’s a place I will be coming to forrsure. It’s a small shop that I kind of laughed at when I saw it but once I got my food, I wasn’t laughing for long. I ordered the Tuna Tartare, the Lobster roll and the Black Squid Ink Pasta as well. The Tuna Tartare was on point and the Lobster roll was solid (think Luke’s was a bit better but still good) and the black squid ink pasta was great as well.
They also have happy hour from 12pm to 6pm and after 9pm as well. We sat down at around 8:15pm so we were able to get some oysters after 9pm. They came out really quick and they were super fresh which was awesome. I highly recommend that you try the dollar oysters if you can.

Yummy lobster mac and cheese and really delicious swordfish tacos but I am definitely not a fan of the lobster sandwich here. The octopus, though I don’t normally eat it, was also very good.

Arrived on a Friday at 5:30 and saw that it wasn’t opened yet. Apparently they change their menus sometimes, and need time to transition. Waited until 5:50 to get seated.
We ordered the Happy Hour Oysters which happens everyday from 12−6pm. The oysters are fresh, but I definitely had better. I love the condiment sauces that come with the oysters; nicely prepared.
We also ordered the Black Squid Ink pasta with Mussels and Scallops. I am allergic to shellfish, so this dish was perfect for me! Hardly do you find squid ink pasta served without shellfish. The pasta was freshly made and pretty good. The scallops were pan friend nicely, but lacked flavor. The mussels on the other hand was very fresh and flavorful.
Will definitely be back to get my oyster fix.

Three words: Fresh, inspired, Yum! For brunch with brother, we got fish & chips (melt in your mouth goodness), whole branzini (perfection), hush puppies, and the lobster roll.
My favorite was the fried fish in the fish and chips. Second, the delicious whole branzini. We didn’t want two servings of fries so we requested the side dish for the lobster roll to be replaced with caramelized Brussels sprouts– they did that no problem with no extra charge. My brother LOVED their sprouts.
Next time, want to stop by to buy some seafood for a cook-​at-​home sesh!

I made a reservation… well, «reservation» before showing up to dinner for a party of 4. Wild Edibles isn’t just a restaurant, but a fresh fish market as well. We were seated immediately — the spaces are super, super tight — like you are basically sitting directly next to a person and might as well be sharing their table too. Need to move table in order to get out of your seat if you’re against the wall.
Classic style mussels — huge, fresh mussels. A couple of them weren’t open — sometimes I wonder why restaurants serve shellfish that isn’t open. The broth was garlicky and very flavorful. Comes with a side of old bay fries which are a huge portion and awesome — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned with the good stuff.
Lobster mac and cheese — this stuff was so good! Not way too cheesy to the point where you feel sick — just the right amount. A fair amount of fresh lobster chunks were in it — enough to make the cost of this little dish worth it. Solid appetizer choice.
Clam chowder — huge plate/​bowl thing of soup. I loved the huge clams in the soup — none of those chopped up canned clams in this soup! However, I didn’t like that there was so much bacon in the soup… it was overpowering.
Linguine with clams — some of the most perfectly cooked linguine I’ve had. The sauce wasn’t too overpowering and had lots of garlic flavor, which I loved. The only complaint is the tiny, itty-​bitty little clams in this dish — so small and little in quantity, you’d probably forget you ordered a clam entrée.
Miso salmon — applause around the table for this dish. The outer/​top skin part was crispy and slathered in the most amazing sweet miso sauce. Make sure to get your salmon cooked medium — the softness of the flesh and the crispiness of the skin made for a lovely combination. Served with an arugula salad.
Skate with classic herbs — the skate was cooked perfectly and just a little battered/​crispy on the outside. It was a bit on the salty side, however. Skate is one of my favorite fishes, so count my opinion as biased.
My friend got the fish tacos… though I didn’t taste any of it, I found the other entrees to look a lot more appetizing.
Solid choice for seafood in Midtown East!

We came here for oyster happy hour, and although the oysters were tasty, we were a bit disappointed. I like the idea: a seafood place where you can buy fish [1] and eat it too. The execution, however, is not that great.
The seating area is small: 25 people at most between the bar and the tables, plus a couple of stools by the window. Also, keep in mind that the tables are literally attached to each other, so be prepared to share your conversation with strangers. If you come for HH definitely get here by 5.
The $ 1 oysters on offer were Malpeques and Blueopints. The Malpeques were briny, clean on the palate, and with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I enjoyed the Bluepoints more: plump and milky, slightly sweet, nicely balanced. Unfortunately the oysters were poorly shucked: apart from some shell pieces, the animals were still completely attached to their shell, and we had to scoop them off one by one with the tiny fork. Not good.
The clam chowder ($ 10) was tasty, but it had more bacon than clams.
The wine list is great; we opted for a Luis Alegre rose’ ($ 11) and a Romorantin Cour-​Cheverny ($ 12). Puzzlingly, wines are served in candle-​holder like glasses; this instantly kills the nose, and also if I’m paying $ 11 – 12 for a glass of wine, I want a glass-​worth of wine, not half a pour. Not good.
Service was spotty at best. I think they forgot about the chowder, and we got it only after we asked, 20 minutes or so after we finished the oysters.
Some of the dishes looked really tasty, particularly the whole branzino and striped bass, alongside the fried calamari. I also liked how the menu indicates the degree of sustainability of each dish. Not sure I would be back, though.
