Wiggly Pups

The owner is absolutely fabulous and is extremely attentive to mine and my dogs needs. I use wiggly pups for the dog walking service and day care and they have both been great for my dog. I highly recommend this dog concierge service, you will not be let down. Also, all of the staff are absolutely helpful, kind, and great!

Can I give zero stars. I guess not. If you dont want to read my entire review. Highlights, dog injured twice, overcharged, extremely nasty absent owner, only communicates via rude text messages. Perhaps the worst business I have dealt with in NYC. That sums it up. Owners response is only to get business STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!
I will start with the good. There are two women who work there lovely, Enid & Kailyn. Loving and great. If they started their own business I would be first in line. My dog absolutely loved them which is why I put up with the horrid owner and his daily nasty text messages. He was awful from day one! That is the end of the good.
A lot of paperwork to sign before you can start. Essentially saying if anything happens they are not at fault. I left my credit card information for them. A nightmare from day one. The owner sent me one of his classic 500 word text messages because they needed to swipe my card? I literally had to leave a birthday party, race over before they closed to accommodate the owner.
That is what wiggly pups is. A business to accommodate the owner. Never about the customer or dogs. They will give you a sob story about a farm etc. they want your money and couldn’t care about anything else. I was overcharged so watch that. I told the owner we can put the overcharge on the next visit. Of course the next visit came the girl at the desk charged me less due to the overcharge. I told her about it. he was texting me within a second telling me I wasn’t charged enough. I reminded him of the overcharge. No comment back. I guess he was upset that I caught the overcharge. He does all of his business like a 16 yr old teenager via text messages. I have never met him in all the months I went to Wiggly Pups. Spoke once on the phone. The front desk told me he lives upstate and never comes in. He views the dogs via camera. My dogs head was cut. We came back seconds after we left; they gave us ointment for the cut. His eye was cut; they offered to pay for the vet.
The place is very small, (probably a fire hazard) no windows for the dogs or place for them to run around. Obviously if my dog is getting injured it’s dangerous. I don’t like the owner’s attitude at all. I actually dislike his pompous attitude immensely. I would not recommend this place to anyone
His wife a co– owner loves to tout all of her degrees in regard to dogs, but also mentions she isn’t taking any new clients. Really? Did I ask? I certainly wouldn’t hire her. Perhaps she should get a business degree and talk to her husband
Bottom line I am the customer who is made to feel like an inconvenience. My dog is injured, not just once but twice? I had to ask about it. Plus all the texting is very annoying. Please only text, don’t email. pup stops anytime you need help, oh don’t come in after 12 the list goes on and on and on. As a former customer they told me to give my dog a big hug from us. Really. You haven’t met my dog in 6 months of going there. He wouldn’t know you.
Being nice in hopes of a decent review. Sorry! If you want to pay for your dog to be injured and get endless nasty text messages daily about nothing, and be overcharged. This is definitely the place to go.

Visiting Manhattan from Canada, and needed somewhere to put our Jack Russell ‘Queenie’ for the day. We’ve only left her once before so were nervous, but I knew when I called ahead and got Paul the owner, that this would be the place for us. After the requisite paperwork was located and emailed, we dropped her off for the day. On our return, we found her running around with all her new friends and having the time of her life. I can’t remember the name of the woman who had been on duty, but she had taken pictures, and Queenie was truly in love with her. So happy to have found this place!

We have been taking our dog Tango to Wiggly Pups for the past 3 and a half years and he loves it there. As soon as knows he’s going he gets very excited, and then as soon as he goes through their front door, he jumps in their laps and insists on being picked up! This is a wonderful doggie day care and Paul, Kathy, and their entire team are so friendly and care so much about all of the dogs there. Their space, although small, is perfect and very updated and nicely decorated with all the luxuries for your dog away from home. They even have a webcam so you can see what your dog is up to during the day!
We have many pleasant experiences with the staff here, and I know Tango gives it 2 paws up as well!

We love Wigglys! Our pup Fletch can’t wait to get to see his friends (dog and human) at Wiggly every day. It is so wonderful to know he enjoys going to day care and has the best possible team to look after him while we are working. When we drop him off or pick up, everyone we talk to is always so nice and happy to see you/​chat. We have been relying on Wiggly for day care, walking and boarding now for almost 2 years and it has been an immense pleasure the entire time. Paul and his team have gone above and beyond the call of duty many times over those two years and we are eternally grateful for that. We have total peace of mind with Fletch in their hands and would certainly be lost without them!

Noli and I love Wiggly’s! We have been loyal fans since Noli was a year old. She tugs me all the way down 3^rd avenue when we get close to it from excitement! Paul, Kathy, Enid, and Aaron take wonderful care of my puppy Noli! They go above and beyond to ensure all my needs and hers are met each and every time she has a walk or a haircut.
I’m so lucky to have found such a lovely neighborhood place that takes such good care of my ‘baby’.

We adopted a very sweet but anxious dog with separation anxiety in March. We wouldn’t have been able to keep him without the help and support of the staff of Wiggly Pups. Our excellent trainer suggested Wiggly as the only daycare that she would recommend, because of the high caliber of the staff (and seriously, this is so important, especially considering there is another day care in the neighborhood that lets people off the street pay to come in and play with the dogs that are being cared for). We have been so impressed at how everyone at Wiggly will go the extra mile to help with our pup. Our pup had an upset stomach for the first few months we had him and Kathy, one of the owners, who is a wealth of knowledge about dog nutrition, was able to help us find food that finally worked for his poor little tum. I first talked to the other owner Paul, when I was looking for a daycare and was feeling overwhelmed at being able to properly care for the little guy, but left the conversation much more hopeful. Because of him, I also feel like there is a clear line of communication at Wiggly (and the daily pictures are an added bonus!) What is even more impressive is that the staff members who are not owners are just as devoted. They help us with his training, and he is a better dog for his time spent at Wiggly. When we have boarded him, he always prances home (and he can be skittish on the street) because he feels calm and confident after a night in the wonderful environment at Wiggly. I feel lucky that Wiggly is in our neighborhood, but would commute from Staten Island to take our puppy there– I can’t imagine a better daycare!

I’ve used Wiggly Pups for over 2 years for daily walks for my Pug. Paul and his team have been amazing– very reliable, friendly and most importantly very caring towards my dog. I’ve heard from neighbors and friends who see my little guy during the day with the dog walkers from Wiggly Pups and they all have positive things to say! Go with Wiggly Pups!

Wiggly Pups has been the best part of moving to NYC. I moved here from Richmond, Virginia four and a half years ago with two active Brittanys. I was worried about finding a boarding/​dogwalking/​daycare service that would be reliable and also would be willing to take my dogs on. Fortunately for me, as I was walking them around the neighborhood on my first day of moving in, I found Wiggly Pups. I went in and was greeted warmly by Paul. My dogs have been so well taken care of since then. Paul and Kathy set the tone for their business and only hire staff who love animals as much as they do. The staff has come to know my dogs really well, and they have been really instrumental into transforming them into city dogs. With one senior dog whose mobility has declined pretty rapidly and a younger dog who is still a maniac, they’ve figured out a way to meet both of their exercise needs. Whenever my dogs board with Wiggly Pups, they always come home tired and happy. Really, this business has been the best find I’ve had in NY, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Five stars is an understatement. It’s pouring rain outside right now — where you walk a half a block and are completely soaked. My wife had to work late, and I had class until 9pm. Paul walked our little pup home, dried him off, and fed him. Charge — $ 5.
Spot is directly across the street from our apartment, yet we will continue to walk 20 minutes each way to drop our little guy off. He’s always so excited when we get close to Wiggly Pups!
You can put your mind at ease when leaving your animals in their care.

Wiggly Pups is both first class and professional.
The day my Wife and I were to go on our honeymoon, we had another dog sitting service back out of its commitment to watch our dogs. Scrambling to find a replacement, we stumbled upon Wiggly Pups after a recommendation from a family member.
Paul did everything he could to accomodate our situation (we have a problem child/​dog) and was able to set up dog sitting services while we were away. This was all done at the last minute and we are so grateful for his outstanding service. You rarely find companies that care about every single customer and potential customer — Wiggly Pups is one of those companies.
Long story short, we were able to enjoy our honeymoon stress-​free knowing that Paul and his staff were gladly taking care of our pups. I hope to continue using Wiggly Pups in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dog care services.

The owner review says it all. When they walked my dog 3 times a day for 30 – 45 minutes it was ok. But when they opened up a business suddenly it was in humane to only walk my dog 3 times a day and leave her alone. Again. It was ok before. But now they have a business and want the extra money to board her under the guise of care. I guess their opinions on «right and wrong» change once they open a business and can charge more. What a joke. FYI. Their business is a dingy basement in an old building. It’s not like a farm in the country or something. It’s a basement in manhattan. There are plenty of better places to use. With nice people who don’t feel like up selling you masked as concern.

We’ve used Wiggly Pups three times, twice for overnight boarding and once for day care and it is terrific! We’d use it for daycare all the time if it was closer to our house!
Our dog loves being there and is comfortable and happy when she is. She comes home tired from all the fun she’s had. I love that they have staff that stay overnight with the dogs when you board them and the dogs are not kept in crates. My dog has a ton of crate anxiety so it is wonderful that she can just roam around like she would at home.
The staff is all very nice and loving toward our dog (and all the dogs) and I feel so safe and comfortable leaving her there. Plus, you get texts of your pup having fun and can watch them on their web cam. The first time our dog stayed there, she was scratching at the ground and they couldn’t figure out why. Kathy, the owner, texted me about the issue and I was able to watch my dog on the webcam and easily identify the issue (shadows). They pay great attention to any behavioral issues your dog may have. My dog has leash aggression and they made sure to walk her alone and avoid any dogs while doing so.
Wiggly Pups is the only place I would board my dog in the city and I highly recommend it to anyone. I really really wish it was closer to our house so our pup could go daily-​it would save me a lot of headaches.

Paul and Kathy have been perfect in two critical areas regarding dog walking and sitting — Reliability and Professionalism. Always responsive and accomodating to last-​minute requests, they’ve made the past 3 years in Gramercy Park a joy. I dare say they may actually love your dog more than you! Kathy screens her walkers with the utmost scrutiny. Everyone she has given the green light to has been outstanding. Aaron was our most recent walker and he was FANTASTIC. Everyone before him was also caring, professional and punctual. If you live around Gramercy and are looking for GREAT walkers — look no further. Seriously. You won’t be let down.

I have been taking my fur baby to Wiggly since he was just about 3 months old. They are wonderful to both me and my pup.
We initially tried another day care, but the service was impersonal and felt stale. When we started at Wiggly, we felt at home right away. I also loved that they did a test day firt to be sure he temperament was right for the day care and the other dogs. The dogs get to lounge on human-​grade furniture (just like home!) and they are given so much care and attention. They also have a live cam, so you can check in on your love bug during the day when the photos texted straight to your phone aren’t enough.
The staff there is great. Kathy and Paul truly care about their ‘clients’ and give so much attention to detail in my dog’s care. The rest of the staff is fantastic, so much so that when my dog sees a team member he FREAKS out with jumps and kisses of love. It makes me super happy to see how excited he is to go there every day.
When my pup is working on any type of training, the Wiggly team helps back me up in keeping him on the mark. They even taught him to catch in mid-​air. :)
Though it’s not something I often need, their ability to pick up or drop of my dog in a pinch is a huge perk.
Grooming too: Team member Enid cuts my pup’s hair regularly and does an amazing job. He loves her so much that he pees on her when he sees her!
HIGHLY recommend Wiggly. I would be lost without their kindness and service.

I don’t use doggie daycare on a daily basis because my boyfriend usually works from home. When the time eventually came that I needed to put Percy in doggie daycare, I immediately knew it would be Wiggly Pups. I had met Paul a few times prior because he had walked our neighbors’ dog. He was always so nice and Percy absolutely loved him.
The first time I brought Percy there, he was terrified to go down the steps. He probably thought it was another vet visit. I was so worried to leave him there but the staff sent me picture texts throughout the day so I could see how he was doing. I never expected that and I was so grateful. I can say by the second day, he was practically ripping my arm out of my socket to get down those steps. He LOVES it there. Also, I can barely get him out of bed the next day after he goes to Wiggly Pups. He is exhausted from all the fun he has there. It’s even hard to walk him on that block without him getting all excited and thinking he’s going to playtime.
Paul, Kathy and all of the staff have been so wonderful with Percy. They genuinely care about all of the dogs that they have there and it shows. The space is immaculate and it is decorated like a modern apartment. They have flat screen TVs and couches for the dogs to sit on. It’s cuter than half the apartments I’ve seen.
What I also love about them is that they are always available to take Percy. Since I don’t use them everyday, I can go for weeks without needing any daycare. However, no matter how short the notice, Paul will always cater to the customer’s needs. He responds immediately and is so welcoming and accommodating. I have never been turned away no matter how short the notice. Whenever I bring Percy back, it’s as if he never left. He is always welcomed with open arms and he immediately runs to the staff and gives them kisses.
I am so grateful for this neighborhood gem and I cannot imagine ever sending Percy anywhere else.

Wiggly Pups is hands down the #1 doggy day care in NYC. Paul and Kathy helped take care of my yellow lab, Goose, for the past two and a half years. They were extremely flexible with my work schedule and with pick ups and drop offs. I always knew Goose was well taken care of and having fun while I was at work. I could even watch her playing with the other dogs on the doggy cam while at the office! I honestly can not say enough good things about this place. For example, my dog would get a little over excited when I would pick her up and always jump up so Paul suggested a solution and started to get her leash on 5 minutes before I arrived so she was all set to go. Wiggly Pups commitment to customers and their love of dogs kept me coming back. Two things that definitely differentiate Wiggly Pups from other doggy day cares are the fact that they limit the amount of dogs they accept into the program so your dog is always getting enough attention and care, also they have furniture and beds for the dogs to lay on which Goose loved. They honestly loved taking care of Goose as much as I do! Had I not moved out of the city Goose would still be there and loving it everyday!

I’ve been a Wiggly Pups customer (dog-​walking only) for the past two years, and Kathy and Paul have been great. My dog (Bucko) is a rescue and although he is a kind dog, he is severely territorial and barks, snarls and lunges at any stranger that attempts to enter my apartment. I tried a handful of other dog walkers, but they all declined to walk my dog after observing his temperament. Kathy and Paul, on the other hand, never even seemed to consider giving up, and they put in the extra time necessary to get to know my dog and to get Bucko familiar with them. They earned his trust that week and it has been smooth sailing ever since.
Kathy and Paul also have a thorough understanding of canine behavioral issues and how to properly respond to them (crucial in my case), and a profound love of animals to boot. In addition, they are long time Gramercy natives, and were a valuable resource for anything pet related (veterinarian, pet food stores, emergency care, etc.).
I have recommended Kathy and Paul to friends in the past and would do so again in the future.

It is great to find a business in NYC that is not about the money and all about service. They offer a range of ways that they can help with your dog. But, what is more important is the way they treat your pet – no price can be placed on the attention and affection they give to each dog. My dog cannot walk on the block without pulling me towards Wiggly Pups. The enthusiasm is at least as high if we run into Kathy or Paul on the street.
Kathy is incredibly knowledgeable. She recommended the perfect collar, leash, and toys that will last. She reads about food and dog safety. Paul has stayed with my dog overnight and she loves him. The picture updates that I get during the day are great. And, they respond to my texts immediately.
I highly recommend Wiggly Pups. They are caring and my dogs love it there.

Oh where, oh where would I be without the help of Wiggly?! Up the proverbial creek without a proverbial paddle, that’s where.
As much as I thought I was prepared for the arrival of Ralphie, my new puppy, I was completely overwhelmed and thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown after a few weeks.
Enter Wiggly Pups stage right to the rescue. I cannot say enough good things about them. They do and help so much, I consider them family. Paul and Katherine own and run the place and I know without a doubt that they treat Ralphie like their own. They are so much more than one of those corporate-​run doggie day care businesses. Picture text updates during the day and friendly emails looking out for Ralphie’s interests when they arise are just some examples of the personal touch Wiggly Pups has that I’ve never seen anywhere else.
I know, because when I moved to TriBeCa, as much as I love Wiggly Pups, it was really, really inconvenient to schlep Ralphie cross-​town and uptown to Gramercy. So I reluctantly tried out a couple of other options closer by. The first place (I’ll refrain from naming names) on the first day told me someone else had already picked up Ralphie (no one had). On the second day, Ralphie started shaking when I dropped him off, and when I came to pick him up, they tried to give me a different dog. There was no third time. The next place was done when Ralphie came home reeking of urine after the first day. While I was willing to overlook this, I was not willing to overlook the lack of customer service when I called management (twice) to complain. They never felt compelled to return my calls so I never felt compelled to return with Ralphie.
Needless to say, after experiencing the quality service of Wiggly Pups, I was unwilling to compromise with these other inferior places. So despite the extra effort, time, and money involved in transporting a dog cross town and uptown for day care, it’s well worth it, especially when I see the look of excitement on Ralphie’s face when I tell him I am taking him to Wiggly Pups. When we get close, he will start pulling on his leash, wanting to run toward Wiggly Pups and then once there he starts bouncing up and down at the front door. For Ralphie and me, Wiggly Pups is the best and only option.
