We specialize in medical-​based voice technique and repertoire coaching. Enroll in our performance and songwriting classes or piano and guitar lessons for well-​rounded training. Career Enhancement Coaching is also available for those pursuing a professional path.

The science of singing is no longer a mystery! The voice is a product of balance in structure and function. You are designed for efficiency and we teach you to remove obstacles to that efficiency rather than «teaching the student to sing.» Unlearn unbalances in your voice and unlock the quality sound that you were literally born to have.

We provide everything you need to go from novice to professional, but it’s up to you to take advantage of the resources. WVS is part of an umbrella company called Performers Career Center, which is everything you need to know in a name — we bridge the gap between learning to sing well and creating a quality performance. We even provide weekly group classes that help with stage freight and monthly opportunities to perform for your peers.

History

Established in 1998.

Wickham Vocal Studios was established in 1998 by renowned voice physiologist Patrick Michael Wickham as an advanced private professional training academy for established and aspiring vocal artists.

Since then it has blossomed into one of the most innovative supplementary education conservatories for voice and vocal performance in New York, catering to a large number of Broadway, Opera and Commercial music’s top stars as well as providing significant performance opportunities for novice through advanced-​level singers.

Business Owner

A medically-​trained voice physiologist, Patrick Michael Wickham’s innovative work as a master teacher has gained international acclaim. Mr. Wickham has served as the PDP (Professional Development Program) Director of the New York Singing Teachers’ Association and is in current demand as a lecturer in master classes and programs all over the country and abroad. He is the founder and executive director of the annual West Village Musical Theatre Festival (the world’s largest short-​musical festival), and continues to develop new work as one of New York’s most active Off-​Broadway producer/​directors.
