said Christine was pretty nasty. if she’s the 60+ senior citizen with an accent. Sure, I watched her be super nice to other people, and saw the ever so unfortunate anger when I was spotted… smiled and said hello. basically the message was «GET OUT»
No I don’t smell, I’m young professional .
What can I say. I’ll never know. She had a tone, stared at me acted like it was a huge deal to assist me, and when I moved out of her view she sighed «oh brother». To add insult to injury I generously said Bye have a nice day, feeling so awful I caused her so much pain, and she did not even blink. If it looks like one. .walks like one…
Anyway. I hate writing this stuff, people like me do not frequent stores like this. And you can see why.

My hood. This place was on Episode 3 of the first season of Sex and the City. Ha. Episode titled «Bay of Married Pigs»

Because I have rosacea, I use natural products like Nuxe face crème and immediately I was impressed by Christine who is a no-​nonsense lady and knowledgeable about skin care. This is a throwback to the days when pharmacies sold aspirin and cough syrup and dispensed medication with kindly concern for your health, before chains like Duane Reade — the Starbucks of drug stores — infiltrated the city with countless stores filled with endless aisles of cheap crap and surly cashiers that can crack gum but not a smile. Stock may be limited, but if they have what you need, buy it here and support the little guy struggling to survive in the shadows cast by impersonal corporate giants.

This is truly a neighborhood chemists where everybody knows your name. Christine, the woman behind the counter, is a favorite with the neighborhood dogs. She keeps bisquits behind the counter for her canine buddies. There is even a picture of my dog hanging on the wall.
