History
Established in 1999.
In redesigning Whiskey Blue at the W hotel on 49th and Lexington, Rande Gerber worked with Philadelphia-based SLDesign to create a vibrant and energetic ambiance that is a modern take on New York’s legendary men’s clubs. The redesign of the 2,500 square foot space includes navy snakeskin-leather club chairs, vibrant blue couches and black patent leather winged-back chairs that stand out against the chocolate leather sofas and diamond-tufted leather banquettes traditionally found in these vintage clubs. An eclectic mix of photographs from the worlds of fashion and music hang on an electric blue wall, while fashionable accents, including zebra striped fabrics, faux lizard skin textures and stacked acrylic light fixtures, punctuate the design, adding a dynamic energy to this iconic bar.
