West Village GC has a great team, professional, resourceful and efficient. We are a comercial client with very high aesthetic standards. On a very tight schedule, our renovation was delivered on time to meet our operational requirements. WVGC’s construction team kept the job site clean and quiet, with no disturbance reported by our fellow tenants.
We would hire WVGC again.

West Village GC saved our Christmas! A blocked riser in the building created a massive flood in our apartment and caused 10’s of thousands of dollars of damage. West Village not only came in to the apartment 2 days before Christmas and repaired enough to get us through the holiday but they returned immediately after and did beautiful work on all the repairs.
Their attention to detail was evident on everything they did. They basically wrapped the apartment in plastic to protect any part of it that did not need to be repaired and then set about refurbishing floors, walls and doors. The quality of the work and professionalism of all West Village’s employees was exceptional. A pleasure to work with and a wonderfully finished apartment.
They were recommended to us by a friend when we were hit with an emergency and I can not recommend them enough to anybody looking to work with a company and group of people who extol their values and can be instrumental in creating your dream home.

West Village General Contractors is as good as it gets. They are professional, deliver what they promise, and absolute perfectionists. They are expensive but worth every penny. If you want a perfect job, completed when promised, this is the company to use.
I began with one project and added to it. They were careful about making sure I knew exactly what each additional thing would cost, and the length of time that would be required.
I got several bids before beginning my project and various timeframes. WVGC was honest about the length of time that would be required. We had weekly meetings and they remained exactly on schedule.
They were referred to me by someone else in my building who’d used them, and who was equally impressed with their work. They were right on top of every detail the entire way through the project. They finished exactly when they’d promised, and everything was perfect. In finishing up with a very short punch list, they have been as responsive after having been paid as they were along the line.
I would hire WVGC again in a minute. I am afraid I’m spoiled. I have used many contractors over the years, and these people were by far the most professional. They told me when it was not worth doing something I considered adding to my project.
I should also say that they are extremely careful and their work is neat. When my apartment was turned back to me, I was extremely impressed with how they had been so careful in protecting other parts of the apartment. My building staff also mentioned to me that they were very impressed with their professionalism and told me how they stood apart from other contractors.
The entire staff was a pleasure to work with, and they were amazingly responsive. Any time anything needed to be approved, changed, or ordered, there was always the project manager or assistant project manager who would be available to accomplish what needed to be accomplished. The two principals were also a pleasure to deal with — so, I guess you can tell from this review that I was extremely happy with their perfectionistic work, their fair prices, and their attention to detail, as well as their responsiveness. They are not the least expensive contractors, but their work is clearly so superior that it is worth paying a little more.
I really cannot too highly recommend WVGC.

Tal is the worst contractor who has ever walked the face of the earth. He is a compulsive liar, constantly whining. My wife and I use west village to renovate our penthouse. It was the worst mistake we have made in many years. We were taken to the cleaners and left out to dry. They extorted us. By add on’s and extras. Even though we agreed to a price an scope of work. We nearly went double over our budget when we decided to fire them. Our new gc informed us of many mistakes and shortcuts that were taken to increase their profit. When our gc found out how much money we gave them he almost fainted. Our new gc corrected and finished the project for a fraction of the price. Almost all the work done by west village was ripped out for fire safety and DOB violation concerns. We nearly had to start from scratch. I HONESTLY BELIVE TAL IS A SUBSTANCE ABUSER. BE VERY WARY OF THIS COMPANY. THEY TAKE PICTURES OF OTHER COMPANIES PROJECTS AND USE THEM ON THEIR WEB SITE. FRAUDULENT COMPANY. STAY FAR AWAY
