I got a basic manicure and pedicure and feel it was completely over priced.
Nothing was bad per se, just not worth the cost.

I came in through a gilt voucher. I had Meghan as my stylist. She took her time removing my old gel. The receptionist was really professional. He took my coat and served me tea. Normally, I don’t like to pay $ 70 and up for bi-​weekly but after this experience I’m rethinking that.
I gave her a design I saw online. She didn’t blink. She did a great job. Took care of my cuticle without taking off too much or cutting me. Meghan also didn’t scrape my nails and took care to ensure my nails stayed in good shape. She also gave me an almond shape. The place was very sanitary using new items and autoclaved tools.
I was very happy and definitely want to go back.

Beware of price gouging, bad customer service, and attitude from everyone who works here. The manicures are nice but everyone who works here is rude! Also how they price their gel art is really subjective so you have no idea how much you are paying as its dependent on the receptionists perception of how complex your manicure is. Very misleading. When I asked the manager Tina how they based the cost of the manicure she told me to keep my voice down and couldn’t give me a straight answer. Who says that to a paying customer? For the prices they are charging their customer service is on par with a cheap nail salon’s service. In fact I’ve received better customer service at a $ 20 mani/​pedi salon. Never coming back here again, and I said that in the salon in front of all the customers.

Be careful of rip offs, misleading advertising, and rude customer service. They will randomly add on extra money depending on the «complexity» of the nail art you choose, without telling you. For example, my friend and I got almost the exact same design and I was charged more than her. When I asked, he said he didnt «notice» the extra line on hers that made it the same as mine. Once we asked them to explain the charges (it came out to about 100 each with required 25 percent tip for groups), the manager Tina was incredibly rude and rigid. We were treated very poorly and disrespectfully. These people don’t deserve your business.
Also importantly, you can also get the same exact gel art somewhere else for half the price, and they will be more helpful with choosing designs.

I always loved the original Valley location but was especially excited when a new location opened that was more accessible for me. Reception is usually friendly and I’m always offered water or tea as I’m being serviced which is nice and relaxing. My go-​to artist at this location is Misleidys but if she’s booked up, Silvia. Both ladies are great at working with me to create a vision, help me pick color/​art, and are pretty nice.
Recently, I did have an issue where I apparently accidentally booked 2 appointments back to back without realizing and despite being a regular, I was charged a no-​show fee for the appointment I didn’t know that I had. I wish customer service was a little better in that respect…

I booked an appointment over the phone saying I need to fix my nail but might need an entire manicure but I wasn’t sure. They charged me $ 60 the price of a new manicure and nail polish removal and all they did was put on a new top coat and fix my one broken nail. I love the designs but out of principle I will never go back. That is not how to treat your customers and keep clientele.

Will definitely never return to Valley, or at least not this location. Booked a manicure and pedicure and made an honest mistake of not realizing I needed to book nail art in addition. I had only wanted nail art on one nail, which was a super simple design consisting of a few lines. They informed me they would be unable to do so because they were very busy. I asked if they would mind if I abbreviated my pedicure (the more time-​consuming part of my service) in order to be able to get the super simple nail design. Again denied.
I came with a girlfriend and booked her appointment with mine, specifically booking the gel soak off and gel application. She was scolded and told several times she did not book the soak off until I showed them my confirmation email with the services she was being scolded for not booking.
Oh, and because they don’t have nail dryers literally every one of my nails is smudged right now even though I stayed afterwards for close to 15 minutes. Whoever said «the customer’s always right» clearly never worked at Valley. Nice work but in a city with plenty of competition, a completely unaccommodating team is a deal breaker.

Had an appointment to visit Valley for the first time. Received a phone call the day prior saying that the technician who was supposed to do my nails was not going to be in and they could certainly «service» me but I would have to come in hours earlier. Since this did not work for me, I asked them to just let me know if something opened up around the time I was scheduled to come in. They assured me they would and sure enough when I looked online today to see their availability, there were several slots open at the time they claimed they did not have available. I ended up going elsewhere, obviously they did not want my business.

One of my favorite nail salons in the city! My go to artists are Silvia and Esther at the 15^th street location. I am advocating for the nail extension and nail art only as those are the only services I have received. The salon is very clean and they allow you to BYOB for parties. I would be giving 5 stars if it was not for the price. For nail extension only (no art) the cost is $ 75 – 80 including the mandatory 25% tip if paying with a credit card. I gladly give the 25% because they are great but it is still pricey! Definitely will come back.

I really wanted to love Valley. It’s in a convenient location — and has quite a charming space. I love getting gel manicures every so often, and in NYC, I must say that it’s difficult to find a clean, pleasant nail salon. I was initially thrilled to find Valley. It’s well priced, clean, and a lovely experience. However, I’ve had one too many terrible experiences with the technicians ruining my nails when removing the gel. They always rush the removal, and totally scrape up my nails. Believe me, I know that the gel removal process is not easy on nails but please do not attack my nails with a metal scraper. I once had them removed at Paintbox in Soho — and they very carefully removed the gel (you really can’t rush this process). It’s difficult as a customer as I have no desire to boss them around. This has happened to me every single time at Valley, and I don’t think I’ll be returning. Please do not rush the gel removal process!
