Urban Outfitters

Urban anywhere is a good option. The clothes always high quality feel and the products just feel «cool.» After a day of touring the standard H&M/Express/Zara lineup, Urban just condenses all the best choices and takes it a step further with a hipster twist.
This location in particular is nice because it’s less crowded and there’s an extensive vinyl collection (not sure if this is everywhere, but it was definitely featured prominently).

It’s a nice little store, with a little bit of everything, but not a lot of anything. I came here looking for a button down shirt and ended up getting one, but they didn’t have all the sizes available. Prices are moderate, although there was a sale when I was there. Service was good. There is a tiny dressing room in the back.

I love urban outfitters. This located was pretty neat as all the other urban outfitters. Amazing sales and ahh I just love UO.

Came here to do all my holiday shopping. Totally procrastinated this year. Not only were the sales reps attentive, polite and charmingly helpful, but they allowed you to shop in peace… ya know they weren’t pest like– thank goodness.
Best UO I’ve been to in NYC, because the 5^th Ave location sucks and the staff there are douche bags– (I apologize for the derogatory language). Anywho– this location is great and I will totally walk the 13 blocks from work again. It was well worth it.
The vibe was pleasantly cheerful, clean environment, music selection was nice to hear whilst roaming the floor for new clothing. The clearance area was so freaking tidy that I actually found my size immediately during my search for a cute Obey jacket, that I btw got for $ 69! What a steal.
I totally recommend this UO location and suggest checking out the deals before purchasing a $ 59 basic shirt when you can spend $ 39– over exaggerating, but you get the spill.
Cool story: if there’s a price difference between online/​app and in-​store, they will honor the cheapest tag price. Talk about accommodating. You must show the item via app/​online for it to be honored though.

I used to love shopping at this store. I would always send people here because it was spacious, clean and well organized.
My last two visits have not been as great. Went in to purchase an umbrella, stood in line and watched two cashiers try to help each other with problems on their respective registers while ten of us stood in line and no one’s transaction was completed in the ten minutes I waited. Needless to say I left the umbrella and walked out when it was finally my turn and then the cashier realized he had to fix something on the previous transaction and called the other customer back
Today… Store was a disaster. Shoes and boxes stacked everywhere. I showed an associate a picture of a hat I’ve seen in the store before and she sent me to the men’s floor. Nowhere to be found… so I grabbed a similar style from the sale rack. I spent 20 minutes resetting my password and signing into the UO app to receive the special promotion and was told by the associate I didn’t have an account and that she had never seen the hat I was showing her pictures of (while signed into the app) and I needed to go back upstairs to look. She abruptly stopped talking and stared off into space for a good 20 seconds before I interrupted her and asked if I was still getting the promotion on the new hat I decided on. I read my email to her 3 separate times… And she read back the incorrect email all three times… Repeatedly letting me know I didn’t have an account. (Which I do and have gotten spam emails from the UO app for over a year) Annoyed I said forget it… I didn’t need an extra promotion after a 30 minute excursion for a stupid ass hat.
I’ve been in retail over 10 years, I’ve held management roles at Nordstrom, and flagship Saks and Bloomingdales stores. I understand retail is nuts and the holiday season is overwhelming, but COME ON. Training your associates in basic customer service strategy ensures customers aren’t misinformed and annoyed by the time they leave. There seems to be a theme of untrained associates on the floor that can’t perform basic technical aspects of the job and it takes away from the veterans who instead of providing customer services, spend time fixing problems with newbies. Quality over quantity. I will not be returning to this location.

I try and try to find clothes, jewelry, or other items at UO, but its a rarety. I have found cute shoes and sandals. The store is organized however the selection is really small. I love my t-​shirts. They used to carry a lot of them but now no. Today I came inside browsed around on both floors and then came right out. Did not find anything that caught my eye. Maybe next time.

Large and spacious. I love how it doesn’t get very crowded. Men’s section downstairs along with a small corner for the silly and fun gag gifts. I wish they had a larger variety of these items; they make such perfect gifts! Women’s clothing on ground and 2^nd floor. They also have these really cute Korean beauty products by the cash register on the ground floor. Sales section (women) are on the 2^nd floor. Lots of fitting rooms up there and short/​no lines. Friendly and helpful staff!

This Urban Outfitters location was easy to access and wasn’t busy on a Monday morning. I was able to get in a look at all the merchandise without having to feel in the way of anyone else. While the staff didn’t go out of their way to help me, they were nice when I went up to them.
This location has three floors and plenty of merchandise to pick through!

My least favorite Urban Outfitters to go to.
In one visit, I was told that a sweater was full price even thought online it was on sale. I told the cashier who proceeded to insist it was not on sale. I came back the next day with an verification from customer service email that it was on sale. On my way into the building however, the alarms went off and when I went into the fitting rooms to try the sweater on, I was hounded by a sales associate who claimed he had found security tags in the room I was previously in. I then had my bags searched and was followed around the store for the rest of my visit.
Rather than check my bag to begin with, I had to deal with continuous harassment from sales associate. I will most definitely not return to this Urban Outfitters again.

I liked this location. I felt like I had the store to myself. The sale section had some goodies in there if you have the time to really root around. The staff were pleasant.

Crazy fun store of clothes for men and women as well as home goods, books and funky merchandise. Three floors of fun.
Staff is always chill and friendly.
Never had to wait in a long line like some other Urban Outfitters which is nice.

Like some Unilocaler mentioned, I can understand that having an Urban Outfitters on the UES seems so out of place especially right across from Bloomingdales. But I am so FREAKIN happy and glad they opened one in my hood therefore I won’t have to travel all the way down to Midtown! I love their hipster type clothing and all the interesting and funky merchandise that they carry that are not available in other clothing stores. It’s definitely one of my favorite clothing stores to browse around and have fun. You’ll always find something you would want to get even though you don’t need it. Only downside might be that there weren’t many staff around when I wanted to try on some clothes in the fitting room. Other than that, place is not too crowded, spacious, and counter staff seems pretty chill and friendly. Will be back soon after my first paycheck lol

Most items are really expensive but the clearance rack is dirt cheap; jeans for $ 6, shirts and tank tops for $ 5. The store felt pretty empty, it was three floors on a weekday. But when I wanted a dressing room I had to go to the top floor, and there I found a line of about 10 people to try on clothes.

I’m a little too grown to be shopping in this store for myself. But it was Christmas, so I went in to pick up a few items for my teenage nieces. I can see the appeal of the store. Especially the expensive impulse items they place in front of the store. I almost copped a cute iPhone case, until I noticed that the price was $ 28! Yeaaaaah, let me put that right back on the display. Cute store; cute stuff; nice staff; just really pricey.

I am IN LOVE with UO clothes. Every time I go to the city I have to stop by at this store. A bit pricy but the selection is wide, very nice and fashionable clothing, 3 floors of clothing and other miscellaneous items but the 3^rd floor has a rather large selection of items. Whenever I have money I always go to UO and the staff there is so nice!

You can always find something at UO and this three-​storied store is no exception. Two floors for women/​knick-​knacks and one floor for men, this place is bound to leave you browsing for hours, so I hope you have no afternoon plans…

The 3^rd ave store has a nice big layout, and is rather empty of customers (which is a good thing for UO). That being said, the staff was not cool, we asked for a shoe in a size and the guy disappeared and did not even bother coming back to tell us it was a recycled shoe that that only came in one size. I had to ask some cashier, who tracked down what happened to our shoes. Anyways, I feel like the staff walks the other way if you go to ask them a question.
Every Urban pretty much has the same mass market hipsterish stuff, I’ve thankfully past the age of interest in most of their items, but teens seem to like it.
A cute dress can always usually be found at a decent price as well.

I love me some Urban. Everytime I visit one, I end up «needing» something I don’t really need.
This one seems out of place and it’s always empy. Hipster clothes on the UES? Across from Bloomys? Yea, no wonder there’s no one in here… again…out of place in the neighborhood.

I don’t buy stuff from UO if its full price. At this store I found some really good deals in their sales section for Men.
The staff were surprising very helpful and showed me the best deals in the store. I got a Burton jacket that was $ 169 for $ 59. I got $ 8 socks for $ 1.29.
Words of advice for shoppers looking for deals is ask the salespersons (FYI they don’t work on commission) where the best deals are because they mark down the prices.

Walked in to avoid the rain for awhile. The store was empty of customers. Got an alright greeting from the chick folding clothes in the front.
The sale section here isn’t horrible for women. The worker upstairs were sweet and asked if I needed help finding stuff. But it was pretty much me on my own. Only when I went into the men’s section to check out what they have did I get awesome service. I forgot his name but he was super cute and funny telling me how this is his first time in the men’s section because he usually works the women’s attire. I asked him for help finding a shirt for an interview. I told him I wanted something flowy to go with a high waist skirt and he knew exactly what I wanted. He directed me where to look upstairs while we were chilling in the men’s section.
Except that guy, I’ve had better experiences in other UO’s
