Don’t. Just don’t. I had an appointment to get a NY State emissions test completed in the morning. I get my company car out of the garage, show up for the appointment, and then i am told that ‘they don’t do that service until after lunch.’ After lunch? Then why did you say to bring it in at 9am? Not to mention I can’t take the car to any service provider since it is a corporate car (fleet vehicle). The man who talked to me was rude and unkind. I knew he was lying to me from the moment he opened his mouth because he wouldn’t even look at me. Don’t waste your time or money.

Dealing with cars can be very painful, but once in a while you meet a decent group that just does what you want. No more, no less. That’s uptown motors.
They answered the phone promptly, they fixed my car in a very timely fashion and best of all they didn’t pull any gimmicks. In fact, they fixed and inspected my car the same morning. No haggling needed. They have a set labor rate, then you pay for parts. Thankfully, I didn’t need any parts, but all together this is a place I would recommend to a friend.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! The service couldnt be worse. I went to drop off my car and I was with my baby. He said I don’t have room Ill do it now, 15 minutes later he still had not started the inspection that should only take 2 minutes and I have a screaming kid. He then yelled out me «he doesnt work for me and in a rage drove my car to the street and would like a lunatic screaming at me. Last time I went the guy pulled my car out smoking a cigarette in my car (and I was pregnant). The people that work here should ALL BE FIRED! They are TERRIBLE!!!

AWFUL. I have a freon leak in my car and just wanted it refilled. (I’m selling the car and don’t want to invest in fixing it.) I’ve had this done multiple times – my dad even did it for me in Indiana. I also had it done in NJ and it cost $ 70. I know I should have asked for an estimate, but being familiar with the procedure, I didn’t think it would be anything outrageous. Boy, was I wrong! I got the bill – $ 294!!! It does NOT warrant $ 116 of labor, nor should three «units» of freon cost $ 130. (The rest of the bill was for the test dye they put in, which I said I didn’t even want since I’m not planning on fixing it.)
I honestly feel that the guy took one look at my car (w/​Indiana plates) and me (a young girl) and decided to rip me off. He even tried the «this is Manhattan» line on me. Argh. I’ve lived here for years – I know things are pricey, but this was over the line.
Just to make sure I wasn’t crazy, I had my boyfriend call a neighboring garage for an estimate – they told him $ 130!
Unbelievable. Do NOT give these people your business.

Beware! These guys just tried to convince me that my car needed a $ 750 procedure (new wheel rotors — old ones are rusty!) My trusty NJ Jeep guy says he has never replaced rotors because of rust.
